Palazzo Talamo in Positano

We stayed at Palazzo Talamo for one night and were pleasantly surprised by the charm and warmth of this small hotel. The check-in was exceptionally personal and welcoming – a smooth and friendly start to our stay, thanks to the attentive staff member who greeted us.

The room was cozy and beautifully styled, with a distinct character reminiscent of boutique stays. While the hotel is officially rated as 3 stars, it truly borders on a 4-star experience, especially thanks to its comfort, location, and charm.

The private terrace offered a stunning view, and having breakfast served in the room made the experience even more special. The location is ideal – just a few steps away from the wonderful Da Vincenzo restaurant and within easy reach of Positano’s main sights, yet tucked away enough to feel calm and relaxed.

All in all, Palazzo Talamo offers excellent value, genuine hospitality, and a delightful local atmosphere. We would gladly return!

Had a great experience staying at this hotel during my stay at Positano. Enjoyed the breakfast that was served every morning and has an amazing view.

500 steps up to get to hotel so use porter service to take luggage to hotel when arriving by ferry. Accom. in Positano very difficult to find… GPS couldn’t find it!

We had the privilege of traveling to Positano last week with three other couples. At the desk was Alla who greeted us warmly and helped us get familiar with our rooms. She was exceptional throughout our stay in the hotel. She made recommendations, reservations and made us feel very welcome. The day we left, she was dealing with some folks who hadn't checked out and were not being the kindest folks ever. Alla, however, never lost her sense of customer care, beautiful smile and accommodating attitude. You are indeed fortunate to have someone of Alla's caliber representing your business. Great little hotel. The hotel is situated in a great location, about a 7 minute walk up the stairs from the beach. The beds were comfy, comfier than the typical hard European bed. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. We booked a standard room and had a gorgeous terrace overlooking the ocean. Every morning they bring you breakfast in your room (you fill out a card every evening with your selections). We enjoyed our breakfast on the terrace and it’s was picture perfect. The AC works wonderfully, and we enjoyed it after returning to the room after a day in the hot sun. You can borrow beach towels from the reception desk for the day too. Highly recommend the restaurant next door, Il Capitano for dinner, amazing views and great service. Overall a great stay at Palazzo Talamo.

Absolute perfection! Beautifully decorated and tiled, with an incredible sea view. Great service from lovely people and kind, welcoming, helpful staff

The staff when we checked in was incredibly friendly and helpful. They also have beach towels you can borrow to go to the beach which is great because while travelling we like to carry light. The hotel was about a 15 minute minute walk up the stairs and somewhat vertical but nothing to fret over once you see the views. For us it was all worth it. You can also take the longer way through the winding roads which is easier but you’re probably looking at 25-30 minute walk. The walk this way is pretty nice with all the shops and restaurants you see along the way.
