Hotel Poseidon in Torre del Greco

Just avoid. Supposed 4 star hotel, no amenities, no staff, rooms are locked at 25 degrees celsius. Why charge 150€ a night (absurd for what this hotel actually is and how horrible the area is too) if its gonna feel like I am sleeping outside.

If you find yourself unlucky enough to stay here do not let them put you in the old rooms, they have some old run down rooms and they will try to put you in those. I arrived and demanded I got put in a room that looked like the one in the picture of the room I picked when I originally booked they said they had NO ROOMS over and over again, until magically they found one after once again saying I would be leaving and requested a refund. They did charge me a 20€ a day “newer room” fee, just insane, dont be fooled or catfished by this place.

The staff will gaslight you into agreeing to turn down the temperature in your room for you and then wont do so. Staff and manager will lie to your face and tell you its not possible to lower the temperature. After calling every 30 minutes to ask why they say theyre gonna lower it yet I can very clearly see that they didn’t. After begging for hours the only reason they finally lowered it is because I threatened to leave and demand a refund.

Sadly though they get away with being this mediocre because theres literally nothing better in the immediate area.

Just avoid entirely, shell out the extra cash and time commuting and stay in Sorrento or the Amalfi Coast
