Culture Hotel Centro Storico in Naples

Although it's a bit far from the subway station, it's very close to the Spanish Quarter and some attractions, all within walking distance, making it perfect for a trip with friends. The breakfast is amazing.

I stayed for three nights.

The room had a small refrigerator, and two bottles of water were replenished daily.

The toilet had an old-fashioned bidet.

The cafe and breakfast area was on the rooftop on the sixth floor.

However, of the two elevators, the one that didn't go to the rooftop always displayed the 12th floor. Are there floors I couldn't see?

Also, sometimes the floor sign would say "???" as shown in the photo, which I'd never seen before.

When I checked out, the card machine didn't work, so I had to pay in cash. I was a bit nervous because I only had a little cash on me.

The facilities overall seemed a bit outdated.

Everything was perfect.

The staff were very friendly, but the property is dated and not very clean. The breakfast was disappointing.

The hotel is very close to the historic center, Santa Lucia, the Duomo, Via Toledo, the Maschio Angioino, and Piazza del Plebiscito. The street it overlooks is busy, but the windows are well soundproofed. The rooms are a bit small, and especially those facing a side street require you to keep the curtains closed. The curtains are heavy and make the room dark. The bathroom is small, but well-designed. The air conditioning works very well. In summer, breakfast is served on the rooftop, where you can get a complimentary drink on demand. The breakfast is decent but not worthy of a 4-star hotel. The selection of sweet items is good, but the savory breakfast leaves much to be desired. Cleaning is done a bit hastily. Limescale hasn't been removed from the shower and faucets for a long time, giving an annoying sense of neglect. The concierge and bar staff are very kind and helpful.

This is my first time to try staying at a culture hotel and it certainly won't be my last. Good value I guess though I wish the location was closer to the metro. The room was a good size with a large comfortable bed and high ceiling. Closet was big with a safe. There's a tub, a shower enclosure, toilet and bidet though the shower was oddly in-between the toilet and bidet. There's a refrigerator, electric kettle and plenty of power points as well as reading lamps. I was quite satisfied with my room.

Breakfast is served at the rooftop which is nice. There's also a small pool / tub at the rooftop if you wish to take a dip.

The location is incredibly central, with many attractions just a short walk away. The rooftop breakfast is a real highlight; it can feel a little cramped, but in warm weather, there's also outdoor seating, plus they even have sun loungers!
