The place was really out dated. It needs a revamp in a bad way! We decided to stay only because it was cheap and we were only staying one night. We should have paid more and stayed somewhere else. The room smelled and was stuffy. The worst was the heat at full blast was not necessary. (It was 18 degrees outside) it was completely boiling with heat in the room. We turned off all the radiators but it literally took hours to cool off. We had to slept with the balcony door open the ceiling fan on took our tops off. Literally sweating all night. The ceiling fan we tried to use but it squiks with every movement and that kept us awake as well. The sleep needless to say was restless and terrible. Most uncomfortable. The bathroom shower was broken and black mold all around the door and between the tiles. Now I understood why the cost was so low. The breakfast was stale old and very poor. If you want a place to sleep go ahead but for a few extra bucks im sure you will find a better stay and be more comfortable. Im sorry to be negative, but you can see they want to carry this business with out doing anything a bit extra for it. Its a shame.

Today is the second to last day.
Tomorrow we're going home, but the thought of returning to Cervia is still on our minds.
I would definitely stay at the same hotel again.
I couldn't rate the rooms higher, because they're dated, although very comfortable and spacious.
(Probably for this reason, the price is also super affordable.)
The service and cleanliness are 10 stars, not 5. Rooms are cleaned every day and linens are changed whenever necessary.
As I said, if it were possible, I would have given the service more than 5 stars.
Friendly and helpful staff 💚
The only downside is the bathroom, with a shower tray missing, but you get used to it 🤣

The large balcony, with a table and chairs, is perfect for a coffee or a bottle of wine with a sea view!! Spectacular!!
When I return, I would like to have the same room, number 50.
The bathrooms are already across the street. Very convenient.

Breakfast isn't served in the hotel, but at the hotel next door (I don't know if that's always the case). We were a little disappointed at first, but the variety, freshness, and deliciousness of the sweet and savory options quickly changed our minds.
In other words, I highly recommend Hotel Genzianella! 💙

Excellent value for money. All the staff are very nice and helpful. Our room is very spacious, the only flaw is a bit the bathroom because it is a bit dated, however it lacks nothing and what's more, there is the window. The lady who cleans the room for us is really good. The food is good and our children, who are 1 year old, also enjoyed it. There are dishes for all tastes and needs already on the menu. In our case we asked for very few variations. Below the hotel there is an excellent ice cream parlor and a restaurant for those coming from outside. We have not tried the restaurant but we have seen some tempting dishes. It is very convenient to the beach, which is included in the price. And with a walk you can reach the center and the port.

Old hotel with a stale smell in the rooms, from the room I can see what another guest is doing in another room. Hard pillows, bad food, bare and creepy corridor in the hotel restaurant the waiters don't look at you and don't change dirty cutlery.
They guarantee parking only to those who arrive first otherwise you have to park in the blue lines by paying the parking meter.
