Lazio, Rome, Via del Velabro 9 🧭 Map
Location: A bit hard to find, you have to go up a staircase and there are no clear signs. The main issue is that it's not close to either the train station or the metro. It is, however, very close to the Mouth of Truth, just a 3-minute walk. Room Layout: Very confusing, some design choices are incomprehensible. The faucet was hard to move, and some bathrooms had no door for the shower, making it very...
This was the most anticipated project on our Rome trip. I booked it right away after seeing it recommended by Xiaohongshu. The hotel is in a great location, about a few dozen meters from the Mouth of Truth. Many taxi drivers have trouble finding it because it's on a slope. The hotel's style is beyond words: a designer hotel with a unique interior and style. The furniture is also well-appointed, with...
We were upgraded to the largest room, and the entire check-in experience was incredibly smooth. The front desk staff was incredibly welcoming and helpful. The room was incredibly vibrant, with a rich industrial feel, and was incredibly comfortable. The hotel's ground floor houses an art gallery, and the hallways, corridors, and even the rooms are filled with art and designer furniture. This is truly...
The bathroom is very stylish and unique. I have to complain about the stainless steel material, which is uncomfortable and the bathroom is very small. When I shower, water leaks all over the floor.
The hotel's design and ambiance are both beautiful and artistic, and the service is excellent. Although the room rate doesn't include meals, the hotel does provide them. The hotel has a full kitchen with an induction cooktop, oven, and cutlery. The refrigerator is stocked with eggs, three meat options, and milk and yogurt, all free. Other drinks and food are subject to charges. Since I had an early...
Overall it was comfortable. When you check in, they will introduce you to the entire hotel and the layout of the room. I'll talk about the things I was not satisfied with. The breakfast was not good, the bread was cold, and I came back late one night after taking a shower and found that the bath towel and bathrobe should have been taken away and replaced but not put back. It was hard to accept that...

Grand Hotel Palace, Rome1 / 30

Lazio, Rome, Via Vittorio Veneto, 70, Ludovisi 🧭 Map
First off, this hotel is nowhere near a real 5-star hotel so ignore that listing. The hotel is ok overall, more like a Crown Plaza or lower-end Sheraton. The rooms are extremely dated and overdue for renovation. The a/c in my room didn't work, too. On the positive side, staff was universally great and helpful. One more thing, don't book a breakfast rate. The hotel's breakfast is very low quality...
Most of the hotel staff particularly the reception staff were most helpful and friendly. We had issues with the main door (107) leading to the 2 other rooms (105&106) and we had to keep getting the key card reset. The reception staff were always obliging and they even told us to contact them on the phone so that we need not go down to get the key card reset. They also recommeded restaurants which...
We recently returned from Italy which included two nights in Rome at The Grand Hotel Palace. We are returning guests and have always felt blessed to have this hotel as our home away from home. As is always the case- the hospitality was unmatched, the accommodations spacious and immaculate, and the food and beverage on par with Rome's finest. What really makes this property most special is it's staff...
The staff from reservations, the gentlemen who greet you out front and handle your luggage, the front desk staff, the ladies who clean the rooms, the restaurant staff all very nice, friendly and professional. They worked hard to make our vacation and stay there seamless.
We loved staying here for four nights. The rooms are lovely and clean. The beds are very comfortable and the breakfast is amazing. All the staff at this hotel are absolutely wonderful. They are very friendly and lepful and willing to go out of their way to help you. I would not hesitate recommending the Grand Hotel Palace Rome. I only wish that we could return here once again. Thank you to all the...

Beautiful palace, reception lobby, Spa and bar. Big spacious room, stylish contemporary design. Friendly staff but room for improvement in terms of professionalism. Compliments to the Spa staff. Good value for money. Walking distance from Roma Termini train station.
A very nice experience in n Rome. The location is excellent, surrounded by many historic venues and museums. The hotel itself emits historic vibes. Service was excellent and all the staff was extremely helpful and friendly. All ready to tackle any problem, plus giving great suggestions and advices.
Overall our stay was amazing, made even more special by the people working in this hotel. Breakfasts were great and the location is absolutely perfect for older, less mobile people who need easy access to public transport. The only small criticism I would have is about the room itself as there was next to no storage, very few hangers and no drawers at all which was annoying. Also as a light sleeper...
Very convenient location. But there are areas for improvement. Rooftop bar was closed during our stay although it was promoted as a special feature of the hotel on the booking page. We had to borrow umbrellas as it was very sunny and hot, but most of the umbrellas were broken, which doesn’t help with the brand image of the hotel. Milk capsules and coffees in our room were not refilled daily after cleaning...
We had a fantastic time at this wonderful hotel. All of the staff were extremely helpful and we were treated like royalty! There is a beautiful spa offering myriad treatments. Senses Restaurant is exceptional and the food high end and beautifully presented on domed plates. There is a water feature in the dining room which adds to the wonderful Roman decor. A first class stay from start to finish. In...

This was a great hotel experience. I will definitely return to this hotel.
Everything was wonderful, the room was lovely, the staff was warm and totally hospitable, the location was terrific and they were very generous with the amenities. I definitely would return and have told many people how much I enjoyed staying at this beautiful hotel.
Great Hotel This is a great hotel. The only issue is the lack of drawers and closet space in the room we had.
Gorgeous hotel, great staff, amazing location, overall,...pricey for the almost 2k per night, however.
Absolutely one of our favorite hotels we ever stayed. Incredible staff, beautifully decorated, comfortable, stylish, modern yet classic. We loved the breakfast. The rooms were very quiet. The doors were so solid and gorgeous which I think helped block out any hall noise, which there wasn’t much at all. The cleaning crew were so stealth and wonderful. I just can’t say enough positive things about this...
We really like this hotel. It is right in the middle of the action - walkable to the sights and best shopping. The staff is super friendly and the decor is lovely. We had to move up our reservation by one day and they were super accommodating, which we really appreciated! Definitely will be returning.

This hotel elevated my first experience of Rome, the staff were extremely nice and helpful, the rooms were clean and spacious, mine was an upgraded suite with a view of the garden.
The room was clean and tidy, the service was very welcoming, and a butler even helped with our luggage, making it very convenient to get around. Rome isn't actually that big; most of the attractions can be reached by the city walk.
Located very close to Plaza de España, the SLH Hotel is a top choice among European hotels. Although the room size was just right and sufficient, I was still satisfied in every way, especially after sleeping on soft beds all the way, the 19-inch bed was so comfortable.
Very comfortable stay. Small issue with checkin but otherwise perfect.
Cute boutique hotel perfectly located in Rome’s city center. Great service
Very good It was very good, a quiet hotel , good service, with the exception of the taxi that the hotel hired

Ok! Upon arrival our room was not as requested. We had requested a room with two beds. Moved from room 403 to 303. No upgrade of room. No problem… booked with Amex Platinum. Given drink vouchers that were only good from noon until 5:30. Never used. Hotel needs some life! Breakfast room was depressing. Will not be returning to this hotel
Amazing team and a hidden gem. Very quiet.
If you are an Art Deco enthusiast, this is the place for you. The hotel is stuffed with Deco appointments. The service is very attentive (except when you have to lug your bags up a long flight of stairs because no doorman is present to greet you). The property, however, could use some attention. For example, the front door is missing an interior handle. Next, the grout in the bath/shower stall is stained...
Everything was perfect. Beautiful, clean rooms, the bathroom was also always clean. We slept excellently in a quit location. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was varied and plentiful. The hotel is highly recommended. We would be happy to return.
Wonderful hotel and great service! Everything was great ,thanks at the good personal and nice room! Very good hotel in Rome..!;)
We stayed 3 nights at Hotel Lord Byron and had a wonderful experience. The front desk staff was super helpful. The breakfast was delicious and the waiters knew the next day how we like our cappuccinos and how many. The hotel is located in a quiet area of Rome close to the park. With a bit of walking you can access public transportation easily. We loved all the staff, they went out of their way to make...

Our family trip to Rome was unforgettable thanks to our stay at the Portrait Roma. From the moment we arrived, a warm greeting and enthusiastic staff made us feel truly welcome. Everyone there went above and beyond for both us and our 12YO son. The location made sightseeing and shopping effortless. There is a beautiful view of the Spanish Steps from the hotel. We found that we could walk to almost...
A fantastic hotel. There are only 14 rooms so this is a very high touch hotel - the ratio of staff to guest is very, very high. And the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. (We mentioned that we admired the boxed cocktail set and wanted to buy some to gift our friends. Could not be found anywhere in Rome! So they found some in their storeroom and gave them to us.) There is not a large shared...

Our stay, as always in this beautiful hotel, was amazing. The whole experience was just perfect; the room, breakfast at the roof, the ongoing concern for our needs and requests. And overall in one word: Perfect. Thank you and see you again next January (if not before).
This was my second stay at Lugarno Collection Hotels. The first one in Milan at Portrait Milano which was a true great experience, really 10/10. I gotta say Portrait Roma managed to be even superior in terms of service and attention of all the team. It is a challenge to be higher than 10/10 but they managed very well. Palazzo Manfredi – Small Luxury Hotels of the World, Rome1 / 30

Lazio, Rome, Via Labicana, 125 🧭 Map
The large room was a plus; we had room with the kids and no one bothered us. The downside is that this hotel isn't a 5-star as they sell it. It's an apartment: the water in one of the showers barely flowed, there was no iron, robes, etc. Overall, I wouldn't go back.
One of the most iconic, epic views in the world out your window. Definitely worth it.
To start with the good - the hotel overlooks the Colosseum, the rooms are sizeable, the Michelin star restaurant "Aroma" is TERRIFIC and the breakfast was really lovely, staff included. The bad - the cleanliness of the room could be much improved. Carpets are all stained. For the price, it's somewhat unacceptable. Hotel staff is helpful but could be more welcoming. Hotel has a bar which we thought...
We stayed at Hotel Palazzo Manfredi for two nights, and overall, the experience was moderate — certainly not what we expected for a five-star property in such a prime location near the Colosseum. Room & Comfort The room was elegant in design, but not exceptionally spacious for the price point. While the view of the Colosseum is undeniably impressive, the surroundings were rather noisy, especially...
Aside from its location next to the Colosseum, it offers absolutely no value for money. It's an old, run-down hotel where the whole building shakes when a bus passes by; the overall experience is simply terrible.
The first morning there was construction next door all day, not happy. The water was not provided the 2nd day. For the prices I thought would be better.

Terrific location in a region with very few quality alternatives. Beautiful building. Nice garden. Good restaurant in the evening. Sad that the reception team was so unpleasant, disrespectful and unhelpful. Rarely seen that in a five star hotel.
We loved our stay there. We had the amazing Castello corner Suite with wonderful views and vast, comfortable space filled w age-appropriate antiques. The entire villa and grounds were extraordinary and worthy of Mr Getty's stature. My lady also enjoyed the Spa with a wonderful Cocoon massage from Celia. We also loved the food and being able to dine on the Terrace w the sea rolling in. All in all, a...
Wonderful experience! A former J. Paul Getty residence situated just a short drive away from Fiumicino Airport. Friendly staff, excellent food and a relaxing spa and indoor swimming pool. ‘Dolce far bene’ is their motto!
We only booked a beach day and had lunch at the restaurant. Everyone was SO friendly. The food was actually so good. The private beach was a big plus. Everything nearby is so crowded. Water is included which I love. Thank you for the amazing birthday beach day. It’s 50 mins from Rome.
We have been visiting LPV for over a decade now and it keeps getting better. Locked away in a private park with a suite facing the sea, the hotel is simply enchanting. There’s a private beach, large indoor pool and a wonderful restaurant with a new chef making delicious contemporary dishes. The service is impeccable, the wait staff and bartenders friendly and professional and the management and...

Good location and friendly service. We were met at the property and welcomed. Room wasn’t large but everything was clean and fresh. Standard double bed, no view but fine for the price. Close to tourist spots.
The front desk service hours are limited from 10:00 to 12:00, there are few countertops in the room to put sundries, and the toilet is crowded.
Our room was spacious. It was clean and smells good inside and even the lobby and stairs it was clean. We opted to use the stairs as the elevator is too tight. The bed was really comfortable. The hotel was very convenient to places like restaurants, mini groceries and specially the walking distance to St. Peters Basilica and Vatican. The staffs were very helpful, we had a very early morning flight...
Amazing place for our Honeymoon This place is fantastic and in a great spot about a 10 minute walk from the Vatican museums and close to a near by metro station as well so the whole city is easy accessible Nice clean room and mini bar drinks fridge with a very reasonable priced selection inside This place is also with in a very quick walk to a great cocktail bar (banana Republic) and a fabulous...
This hotel offers great value for money and excellent service. Before check-in, they asked me what time I would be checking in via WhatsApp and were always fully responsive to any questions or inquiries. It's also very close to the Vatican and downtown Rome, which is great.
A short walk from the Vatican and local metro with plenty of shops and restaurants/cafes nearby. Accommodation very safe; 2 locked doors to gain access to the building and a locked door to the floor and of course, a locked door to the bedroom. Bedroom a little small but was described as a budget room but with private facilities (shower, toilet and washbasin) and tea/coffee making facilities. Only downside...

Great location, walk anywhere in central Rome. Staff helpful.
Really fun location! One block from pantheon. Awesome staff. Well worth the price!
Run down facility in a great location, 15 meters from the Pantheon. A/C is broken in the Poseidon room and the electrical panel buzzed loudly for a minute every few hours during the night, waking us up. There is no reception staff on the premises most of the time and complaints to the hotel via email went unanswered. Guests in adjacent rooms are clearly audible, as is street noise from below (busy...
Was a solid place to stay great local my favorite restaurant right outside front door
This location cannot be beat. The hotel is a few steps away from the Pantheon. Important to note that taxis cannot drive right up to it and there are stairs with no lift if you have heavy bags. But the staff are so helpful and the room was very clean and quirky, cute. Breakfast is ordered the night before and served on a tray at a time of your choice to your room which worked great for us!
Beautiful, immaculate rooms, decorated with special taste, five-star service, well-stocked breakfast served in a room with products on request, truly individual service, all in the very center of ROME, a few meters from PHANTEON. I advise everyone to spend one or more nights in this hotel. Service very nice, family atmosphere, rooms clean and daily cleaned. It was our honeymoon. The hotel staff prepared...

Big nice clean room. Loved the breakfast brought to your room. Pick whatever you want by filling out from menu each evening and time you want breakfast. Walked to everything and our excursions except the Vatican. It could be noisy with ambulances, buses , and such. I wear earplugs so didn’t wake me or my husband.
Superb room, great breakfast and staff are just wonderful!!! Great location and so close to most of the main attractions!!! Highly recommended!!!
Room was in good condition but there was not AC during our stay. We had to call every day to ask for it but it seems it wasn’t working. We were not recognized as a vip. We didn’t get the bottle of wine. Staff was ok.
Good size rooms for a centrally located property. Front desk is helpful and always available. This is a tiny hotel, about 12-15 suites in total, and you feel welcomed and well taken care of. Rome is not small, so depending on your interests this may not be the best location, but it’s 10 minute walk to forum, 20 minutes walk to Colosseum, 45 minutes walk to Vatican museum. Trevi, Spanish Steps, shopping...
Very attentive and helpful staff and superb accommodations!
We had the best stay at Corso 281. The staff is extremely welcoming, the rooms were clean, modern and spacious and the location is perfect. Walkable to all of the major attractions - just a few minute walk to the Pantheon. I would absolutely stay here again. Couldn’t recommend more!

The best thing is that the location is good for shopping. Besides that, the room is right under the hip restaurant, Zuma. If you want to have good sleep, please take deep consideration. Non stop foot steps when you want to fall asleep, and you will be awaken by the noise of moving table. I don’t feel any Fendi DnA or feature from this hotel at all. One of the most exclusive hotels in the center of Rome. They only have about 7 or 8 rooms.
