The room was tiny, and to make matters worse, the duvet didn't even have a cover, making it practically unusable. Ctrip says it was renovated in 2025, is that even true? It was dirty and old, the AC didn't work, and the hairdryer was so weak it took half an hour to dry my hair. The most ridiculous thing was the room door – you couldn't open it with the key card, but it would just open if you bumped into it. There was one young guy at the front desk who looked Southeast Asian; he was okay. But everyone else at the front desk kept overcharging for the city tax, and the amount was different every day. There's a monastery nearby, but at night, there are a lot of Black people running around. I'm not really sure if it's safe.

Room is clean and bright.

The hotel location just 7mins walk from metro. The station is really closed to the main attraction like the colosseum.

Those it is near the metro, it is very quiet as there are no restaurants 200m from it. Not much shops in this area.

The only one bad comment is the breakfast. Not much hot cooked food. Only cheap hams. Mostly are bread and fruit. It cost 14 euro.

Beznadziejny room service, niewymieniane ręczniki, nieestetycznie brudno, niemiła obsługa recepcji.

This hotel looks nice in pictures but when you see it with your own eyes not so much. Rooms are small and are in need of some updates. No real coffee cups just cardboard cups to drink from. It was at the end of October so the temperatures were in the mid to low 70’s. The room can get quite tepid and the AC is shut off during what they call their winter months. You can open the window but there are no screens to keep bugs or even pigeons out if that were to ever happen. They did supply us with a stand up fan since my wife suffers from severe hot flashes. The showers have nothing on the base to keep you from slipping so be careful. Our room backed onto an athletic centre and a big courtyard for youth athletic programs. It can get quite loud until late in the evening. The terrace for relaxing and enjoying a drink also overlooks this area although the front desk told us it would be locked at 8pm. We were told it was for security reasons. They must be worried about the young kids scaling the back wall to gain access to the terrace. Don’t get me wrong this is a great thing to have for people and families in the city but it’s not very peaceful when you want to sit and relax after walking around all day. The breakfast is not the best either, toaster is broken, and the pastries were not fresh. For napkins you get a cocktail napkin. If you look closely at the lobby furniture is quite worn. The front desk staff weren’t very accommodating but when the manager was there to help when we needed it. I do not know her name but she was our saving grace

Roma was very good and this hotel close to the historical places.

The hotel was very nice and the staff were extremely helpful, it was also only a short walk from the colosseum and had a great little gelato place just down the street. I would highly recommend staying here

On arrival, we were greeted by an abrupt Indian staff. Poor customer relations skills.

Overall, the hotel locations were excellent. We were able to reach the hotel from the train station by bus, followed by a short walk. The neighborhoods felt safe and clean, which added to our comfort. Although we had read earlier reviews mentioning unfriendly staff, our experience was quite the opposite — the reception and restaurant teams were genuinely warm and welcoming. Ms. Rosa and another gentleman kindly assisted us during check-in, making us feel immediately at ease.

A special thank-you to Mr. Samer, the restaurant manager, who kindly assisted us when we brought back some gelato from a nearby grocery store. The restaurant was about to close, but Mr. Samer went out of his way to offer us spoons so we could enjoy our treat. His friendliness and willingness to help truly stood out.

The hotel itself was very clean. Since we arrived before check-in time, we appreciated being able to use the washroom in the basement, which was also well-maintained. Additionally, the luggage deposit service behind the reception desk was quick and convenient.

As part of the package, we weren’t informed in advance which hotel we’d be staying at in Rome. While the location was fine, we felt the room could benefit from some improvements (with some pictures attached in the review):

- The bathroom door appeared quite worn.
- The safe deposit box lacked instructions, and the buttons were so faded that it was unusable.
- There was an unusual stain on the wall that looked concerning.
- The electrical outlets didn’t seem strong enough — we had trouble charging multiple devices at once, which hadn’t been an issue at other hotels.
- The air conditioning appeared to be centrally controlled, and the panel near the entrance seemed non-functional and cheaply made.
-The bathroom jacuzzi appears somewhat dated, and it may not be particularly inviting for use.

One small point of confusion during our stay: while guests could use the self-service coffee machine at breakfast, we learned during our trip that it's customary in Italian hotels for staff to ask guests about their coffee preferences — particularly during shorter stays.

However, we noticed that this courtesy was mostly extended to guests who spoke Italian (if not mistaken). We would have loved the opportunity to enjoy freshly prepared coffee as well, rather than relying solely on the machine.

The location of the hotel is excellent, with the tram right outside and the Colosseum only about five minutes away. The price is also very reasonable for what you get. Breakfast was one of the highlights, served as a buffet with plenty of variety and good quality options. Considering the cost, it feels like a very good value and makes the stay convenient and comfortable.

The rooms, however, could benefit from better attention to cleanliness. While the overall stay was pleasant and the staff were welcoming, a bit more care in hygiene would make a big difference. Even so, the experience was positive, especially because of the easy access to transport and landmarks. For travelers looking for a budget friendly stay in a central area, this hotel is a solid choice.

I enjoyed my stay here, it's in a good location (very close to the Manzoni Metro station), and a short walk to the Colosseum, the room was a Superior twin/double, it was small but modern and functional, with a good size and comfortable bed, decent and clean overall including the bathroom, the breakfast was very good, and the staff were pleasant and helpful. Our view was of a pretty school playground, must've been holidays as no noise, or the fact is that we were off out exploring Rome pretty early and were returning very late! 🥰
