hu Roma Camping In Town in Rome

We've stayed here twice now on vacation from the U.S. and had great experiences both times. We stayed in the little cabins which were clean and comfortable. We did have a small issue with one of the cabins the second time that we stayed and the friendly and helpful staff fixed it immediately. Definitely not a luxury/fancy stay, but extremely affordable and there is a bus stop right in front as well as a train station about a 15 minute walk down the road. There are also laundry machines and a small grocery store on-site. Overall, a great and affordable place to stay in Rome!

We enjoyed our stay, the accomodation was cute just right for two people. The downside was the heating not working.
Otherwise satisfied.

My stay at this hotel was average. The location was convenient, and the staff were polite and helpful. The room was clean, but the facilities felt basic and could use some improvement. Breakfast was okay, though the variety was limited. Overall, it was a decent stay, but there is room for improvement.

Most importantly I have to say that our stay at Hu Roma was overall a fair, functional and useful stay, most importantly it is one I would return to and would recommend for others on certain circumstances, for this reason I am awarding 4 stars.

I cannot however neglect to mention that our initial experience was not ideal and in all honesty fell well below expectations. The initial "stay easy XL" cabin we were allocated was in poor condition, holes in the sheets, mould in the bathroom, holes in walls, missing skirting board and general signs of extensive wear and tear it was old, past its sell by date and really not pleasant, worst of all was the pervasive smell of Canabis use, something we found extremely unpleasant and unacceptable. Be warned, some of these "stay easy XL" cabins are to be avoided if this one was anything to go by....

All that said, and it needed to be said, after that initial shock, and upon hearing our concerns Hu and the team dealt with our concerns promptly and professionally, they moved us to a different cabin that was far more acceptable and way more in line with what we would have wished for and expected. To be fair, the website images do create a heightened level of expectation, the glossy images are a bit detached from the reality of well used cabins, maybe the website images are about 10 years old?! Nonetheless the replacement cabin was acceptable, pleasant and something, for the price, we would recommend!

The location is obviously out of town but the shuttle bus service is superb and it is totally free if you book your accommodation directly (avoid the booking sites), the onsite market is convenient and there are more amenities nearby including an even bigger supermarket over the road, a McDonald's and a train station, the onsite restaurant is also pleasant and well serviced. Parking is also free and next to your residence and this is something to be highly commended .

The staff who dealt with and resolved our initial problem were superb, the staff organising the shuttle bus were great and the bus drivers themselves were incredibly attentive and welcoming. I would both recommend and return to Hu Roma, it is great value, a great location, wonderful staff but for sure if you want a touch more luxury then Rome has multiple options.... but maybe not so many with the same level of convenience and flexibility.

Great value for money, but the location and surroundings are just okay.

We had a terrific stay at this campsite! The prices were very reasonable. Although it is not located in the heart of Rome, there is a bus stop right outside that takes you there. The restaurant offered a wide range of delicious food (including the tasty pistachio croissant). I would sincerely recommend this to everyone who wants to explore Rome at a reasonable price.

The campsite is beautiful and perfect for relaxation. The view is amazing at all times, which makes the stay even more enjoyable.

There is also a restaurant inside the campsite, which is very convenient. In addition, the location is excellent — it’s not far from the airport, and it’s close to a supermarket and a bus stop, so transportation is very easy.

Overall, it is a great place to stay and we definitely recommend it!

I stayed at hu Roma Camping in Town and really enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere. The property is surrounded by greenery, and the facilities like the pool and restaurant were great after long days of sightseeing. The bus stop nearby made it fairly easy to reach central Rome, though travel time can be a bit long.

The room was clean and comfortable, though a bit basic. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the on-site store was very convenient. Overall, it’s a good place for travellers who want value for money and don’t mind staying slightly outside the city centre.

This was probably the most expensive pizza I've ever had, but I was hungry so I had no choice. The only downsides were the early check-out and the small pool; everything else was fine.
