Settea in Rome

Very noisy rooms, especially from locals who are staying there!
Rooms are gloomy and seem unfinished.
Never again.

Big communication issues, the buzzer outside didn’t seem to work and there was no answer on the phone. On the second night of our stay (17/04/22) two women had to sleep in the reception as there was a mix up of rooms and no one answered the phone or came to help. They were still in the reception the next morning.

Do not stay here. It is not a hotel, it is 4 bedrooms in a hallway and there is no staff after 12:00 PM. The rules are very strict, like "no eating in your room," and the cleaning staff WILL ignore your do not disturb sign. I am here working nights and this heavily impacted my sleep schedule.

The "modern" design is actually much darker and depressing than it looks like in photos. The bed's are old spring beds and terribly uncomfortable. I actually had to use my extra pillows to prevent waking up in pain. Furthermore, they will reserve the right to change your room accommodations as they see fit and you will not get what you paid for.

The internet connection is not sufficient if you are here on business and the host (I used Airbnb) will deny you by saying that "it works."

I repeat this is NOT a hotel, do not expect it to be one and maybe you will like it. I personally felt uncomfortable my whole stay and cancelled early (with significant fees included). No stars if I could.

I know that Corona has been hard on hotels, but still: We wanted to travel to Rome in April 2020, which was not possible due to Corona. Affittacamere Sette A would not give us the money back but said that we can change the reservation to a later date. Now that I would like to contact the hotel because of that, they do not answer anymore. Very disappointing...
