Hotel Vittoria in San Felice Circeo

Nice hotel that could be even BETTER with a few more upgrades!
I stayed with my husband from September 4th to 7th.
A one-star hotel that, honestly, could even reach three with a few more touches.
I stayed in a spacious room with a really comfortable bed, but unfortunately, the only two drawbacks were the lack of a small mini-fridge and the damaged bathroom cabinet.
Perfect breakfast, varied and well-organized.
The staff was kind and courteous, but unfortunately, they should consider adding a night porter.
Regarding the large and well-distributed parking lot for all guests,
Two suggestions regarding the outdoor space:
Consider installing night lighting on the driveway, perhaps with LED lamps that turn on when guests pass.
Perhaps, install the decorative bollards.
EXCELLENT LOCATION, NEAR THE SEA AND WITHIN WALK OF THE TOURIST CENTER.

I'll leave it up to you to judge the unfortunate mistake they made:
I had initially booked at the Hotel Vittoria through Booking.com, checking in August 23rd - checking out August 30th. I subsequently requested an additional two nights, checking in August 21st - checking out August 30th. They told me they'd take care of the booking and that I could cancel through Booking. So I canceled through Booking.com, and they sent me a detailed email with the total price for the nine nights, including the in-room refrigerator service, which costs €8 per night.
On the morning of August 21st, I emailed them to let them know my arrival time and received a call back shortly afterward because the hotel couldn't find my reservation. They apologized and didn't know how this was possible, especially since we corresponded several times until August 16th, when I asked them for information about activities/excursions in the area, and they always responded kindly. But I actually can't leave that day, so I start looking for other last-minute options. In the meantime, they call me back saying they have availability from Saturday the 24th until the 30th, with a room change to be made on Monday. I accept and manage to find another hotel for the nights of the 22nd and 23rd. So I lose a day of vacation and the various inconveniences of having to change hotels and make another room change in the same hotel.
Furthermore, when I arrive at the Hotel Vittoria on Saturday, the much-vaunted free parking is completely occupied. Shortly afterward, I manage to move my car because I notice someone leaving.
In short, I was expecting a discount on the refrigerator service, which was about 50%, even though I expected it to be a full discount. For six nights, I paid a total of €600 instead of €623.
I rate the breakfast and the generally friendly staff positively. Let's just say that, besides the endless apologies, I was expecting action.
Perhaps they thought they had made up for it by giving me one of the larger rooms for the first two nights, with a magnificent terrace from which I could see the sunrise, but I fear it was just a coincidence as that was the room available for those two days.
