Hotel Risi in Colico

Oh my God! The best service ever ;) I arrived @ 1:30 a.m. and was still greeted from a friendly helpful person. The entire trip was like this. Very sweet owners with very big hearts.

Honestly had the best stay during my visit in Colico. They have the best view of the lake and nearby boat rental.

The service is fantastic and the hosts are so accommodating.

Restaurant serves great food also.

The hotel has a great location and nice staff. Breakfast is included with a nice assortment, however there is no other food serverd here for lunch or dinner. The spa is quaint but only has a sauna and steam room. Perfect for a couple of nights and everything is walking distance.

We spent an amazing two nights at the Hotel Risi. Ideally located close to the ferry terminal and with bars and restaurants in close proximity.
We had an amazing room no.308 which over looked the lake. Our room was clean, spacious and the bed was very comfortable.
A lovely buffet breakfast, with polite and attentive staff.
This is a stunning traditional Italian hotel in an amazing location. Please don’t change a thing, the rooms the decor, everything is just what you would wish for if you want to visit Italy. If you want a modern, bland, techy hotel, go and stay on the beach or in the city but here on the banks of Lake Como you want to feel like you belong somewhere special and at Hotel Risi you certainly do.

Stayed for 7 nights . large room with big bathroom and lovely view over the lake . Plenty of hot water although showers was not very powerful . Lots of clean towels and everywhere was spotlessly clean. Very friendly and helpful staff . Excellent breakfast with a good selection of fruits , yoghurts cheeses etc . Opposite the ferry station so very easy to hop on a boat and visit many beautiful towns . We went to Bellagio, Como and Menaggio and also went to st moritz on the Befni a Express which was amazing .

Family run hotel right by the lake and ferry terminal. All the staff were very friendly. There was a lift to get to the rooms. Our room was very clean with a king size bed, with extra pillows & blankets in a cabinet. We had paid extra for a lake view, but to be honest, I wouldn't bother again as there is no balcony, plus there were trees obscuring the view as we were on the first floor. You will have a lake side view at breakfast time anyway from the restaurant. There was plenty of storage for our clothes in the room, but only a few coat hangers in the wardrobe, and the wooden bedroom furniture I would describe as shoddy (drawers don't go in & out smoothly). Decent size bathroom (with a bidet), storage for toiletries on a rack, shower cubicle a bit small our only gripe was the hot water, which was very hit and miss. Hot water took ages to come through, (sometimes there was none) when it did it was too hot & adjusting the settings didn't seem to make any difference, and frequently it would suddenly go cold. The room also has a mini bar and a safe. Breakfast was particularly good, cold meat, boiled eggs & cheese, good choice of fruit, delicious yoghurt, bread, croissants, pastries. Choice of different coffees from a machine. You could also pay extra for an omelette. The restaurant is currently closed until further notice and we ate at local restaurants. As regards location, it is right opposite the ferry terminal, there is a train station 10 minutes walk away with fast trains to Milan plus buses going to the West and East sides of lake, so very easy to get out and about to different places. We were on an organised trip when we stayed her, so I can't comment on the price, but I would happily stay here again if we ever visit lake Como again, but I wouldn't bother with a lake view room.

Good value for money. Stunning location right by the lake (though we didn't pay extra for a lake view from bedroom as we were only staying for 1 night). Hotel is a short walk from railway station and right opposite ferry terminal, so very well situated. Friendly and helpful staff. Room was very good size, clean and comfortable. Good breakfast. Would stay again. No dinner option at the hotel while we were there, but we were happy with the local restaurant they recommended. Colico is very small, though, so there were only two restaurants open at the time of our visit (a week before Easter).

What can I say, other than a quality hotel and we'll priced restaurant. Location could not be better, right on the lake with beautiful views all around. Boat trips and water taxi go from right outside the front door and the onsite parking is a bonus. We ate dinner on a busy Friday in their restaurant, the food was excellent and the team serving were super professional and well put together the hotel and restaurant worked really hard so we would enjoy our stay.
