Hotel Alfieri in Sirmione

Stayed at the Alfieri with my husband for our Anniversary. Overall we had a lovely stay, the hotel is very quiet, the staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was above the main entrance, overall it was quiet, my husband did find the bed very hard and uncomfortable, but mattresses are a matter of preference. Breakfast was more continental although there was some cooked food, but again my husband is a picky eater and didn’t find much to his tastes, but what I ate I found very good.
The hotel is a fair walk to the castle but it is along the side of Lake Garda and extremely pleasant, but you can also catch a bus at the top of the road or find one of the local cabs in the taxi rank.

A beautiful stay, we couldn’t have asked for a better accommodation and the staff were really helpful, our favourite part of this hotel was the fact they leave the pool open till 9pm, so guests can watch the sunset, we thought this was a lovely touch, and one I’ve never seen before, the breakfast was amazing, and the best food we had in Italy was from our hotel. All in all a beautiful place I would highly recommend. Thank you again to the staff for helping create a memorable holiday xx

Lovely hotel with great outside seating areas. With best breakfast ever. Very helpful staff. Took about 45 minutes to walk along lakeside to town centre.

Beautiful hotel , from the moment we arrived the staff were so friendly and helpful. The room was immaculate and well presented. Rooms were cleaned everyday , as soon as we went out for the day the cleaners stripped the bed and clean towels , excellent service Breakfast was 5 star lovely choice of food. The outdoor seating area was very nice and lovely when lit up on an evening . Nice to able to have a drink from the bar and relax. There was a outdoor swimming pool , although we never went it we had a look and was smart and clean, I would recommend this hotel to all friends and family it was 3 star but should be 4 star. The entire holiday the receptionist staff were so helpful who helped with directions to get to places and showed us where bus stops / public transport was , they even booked a taxi for us so we wouldn’t miss the boat trip in sirmione. We visited Verona and different parts of the lake fantastic holiday , ideal hotel for what we wanted to do I can’t think all the staff enough for a chilled relaxing stay, Perfect location as well although wasn’t right in the town area of sirmione , it’s around 40 mins on foot , 10 - 15 mins in taxi , it was ideal as nice quiet location and could still go for the day to sirmione then leave to come back to a peaceful hotel . 5 star review xx Thank you Abigail & Lee

What a gem. We stayed for a week bed and breakfast and I have to say I never stayed in a place with such friendly and helpful staff. The Hotel and rooms are spotless, our room was not massive but more than comfortable. Maids in every day and did a first class job. Safe box at no extra charge, TV and internet and a small fridge. Beds comfortably air conditioned good. Roof top pool looked great but didn’t get time for a dip. Bar excellent again couldn’t do enough for you, plenty of of board games and books. Toilets spotless. Breakfast was great with a wide range of food. I’m a full English person but I was more than happy with the scrambled egg, bacon and sausage. You will be thinking I own the place, but it was that good. Our toilet stopped flushing and the had it fixed within an hour. Would I go back ? Yes and I have already recommended it to friends You are a short bus ride or walk from the Castle, 7.50 euro for the three of us in a shuttle bus. Nothing to do with the hotel but taxis can be quite expensive. That’s me hope this is helpful to anyone planning an adventure . well done Hotel Alfieri

We have been staying here for our honeymoon, and have 2 days left - it has been absolutely perfect, the breakfast is incredible, such good variety and every food item is delicious. The staff are so wonderful, big shout out to Ali & Gordo who we've seen every day, and have both played some class tunes on the speaker. I honestly can't credit the staff enough, they are all absolutely beautiful, incredible people - who make fabulous cocktails & coffee!! We've made good use of both bars, which are excellent value for money. There's also cards, chess and draughts available to play in the bar, and ping pong, table football downstairs in the garage - so even on the rainy days you're not short of entertainment. The location is excellent, we walked into Sirmione Old Town (around 45 minutes) and there are plenty of bus stops around (approx 5 minutes walk away) for you to access public transport, although this is quite unreliable. The pool is great, spacious and cool, and the whole hotel has a very chilled vibe and you can easily spend the whole day relaxing. What a fantastic hotel! Staff are so attentive, rooms cleaned everyday, breakfast is plentiful, roof top bar and pool offer wonderful views and the location is great too. I would definitely return and cant recommend enough. Thank you. Charlotte &Dave. X x

We have just returned from a 4 night stay.
Hotel is a lovely boutique style, rooms are clean and well kept, 5 minutes walk from the lake. The old town is 10 minutes drive, and we'll worth a visit.
The staff are so helpful and welcoming.
Every member of staff are so happy and polite.
The breakfast is 5*, cant fault it at all. Such a variety, they cater for everyone.

A lovely hotel. Staff were very pleasant and multi lingual. Rooms were clean and comfortable. But the main reason for. 5 star review was the kindness and efficiency they showed trying to locate my friend’s lost phone Their kindness was above and beyond and we located her phone!
