Al Poggio in Omegna

My parents, brother and I stayed at this quirky, authentic hotel a couple of nights ago and absolutely loved our experience. Finding the hotel took us a little while, but once we arrived, Barbara greeted us with much-needed water and made us feel instantly at home. Our suite had a spacious terrace with some of the most breathtaking views imaginable: Lake Orta shimmering below and majestic mountains rising beside it.

Breakfast was included, which we enjoyed on the terrace under the warm summer sun (with a parasol for shade), and Barbara and her team treated us to a delicious homemade Romanian cake, along with freshly cooked eggs and bacon. We were even served two rounds of coffee. Even though it was extremely hot, it was the perfect start to the day. The hotel also has a large pool with beautiful views over the lake, adding to the sense of relaxation.

Our only minor complaints were the lack of air conditioning, with just one small fan in one of the rooms, and a shower that, while offering good water pressure, felt dated and not entirely clean. The bathroom lighting was also dim, though it did have a jacuzzi, which was fantastic. The surrounding town is charming, unpretentious, and wonderfully authentic.

A family-run B&B with a splendid view of Lake Orta. The property isn't modern, but it's well-maintained and impeccably clean: the room was in perfect condition. In warmer weather, you can enjoy an outdoor pool overlooking the lake, a truly pleasant added bonus. The real highlight, however, were Tino and Beppe: two young men who work at the property, always kind, helpful, and attentive. They helped make our stay truly impeccable.

I think the best panoramic view of Lake Orta in Omegna, family atmosphere, order and cleanliness. Super relaxing summer pool and garden. Vintage furnishings. Very fair prices. Highly recommended for those who have the intelligence to appreciate the overall context in which they are spending their time and not linger short-sightedly on single details that may clash but do not detract from the extraordinary beauty of the B&B al Poggio. Just perfect,
staffs were very, very friendly, location was amazing with the beautiful lake view! More then enough selection for breakfast.
We had enough opinions to park our car and the pool was great! Always clean, warm enough to swim in and cold enough to cool down after a sunny day.
Over all I can really recommend it!
