La Sorgente Bed & Breakfast in Baveno

The absolute BEST place to stay for a trip to Lago Maggiore!
It’s located perfectly between Baveno and Stresa so you can easily reach either on foot. The views over the lake and Isola Bella and Isola Pescatori could not get any better! You wake up, have breakfast and simply take in all of this beauty.
Last but surely not least, Francesca is probably the best person that ever hosted us. She’s kind and extremely informative, she’s a traveler and has amazing stories to share and the best tips for you to organize your holiday.
And her breakfast is amazing! I already recommended this place to all of my friends and will do so in the future as well!

Francesca was such an amazing host! It felt like staying with family! :) She is so sweet and caring and provided the best breakfast each morning. She also had the best tips on restaurants and what to do in the area. It really helped us so much. The room was also great and had a beautiful view of the lake and the islands. It was a really nice break. We could truly relax and enjoy our time away from home.

We had an amazing experience at La Sorgente. Priceless views, cosy room and the host Francesca really made our trip perfect thanks to her good recommendations. She's really one of a kind!

We had a wonderful stay at Francesca's place. We first found a parking space right next to the accommodation. Then we received a very warm welcome, in French. Francesca then gave us a lot of good advice during our stay (restaurants, visits, addresses...)
In addition, the view is superb from the rooms and the terrace where you will have breakfast (which is also plentiful, succulent AND homemade) You feel at ease very quickly.
The accommodation is close to the city center of Stresa and Baveno (everything can be done on foot). And you just have to cross the road to swim in the lake!
We were not at all disturbed by the noise despite the train and the cars the room is very well insulated!
In a word: perfect!

Me and my wife stayed with Francesca and Ricardo for a week. From there we visited a lot of places located around Lago Maggiore. The B&B is in an old-styled, stone house. It is really nice one! Everything was very clean and the breakfast...OMG...the breakfast was really delicious! Francesca baked a different kind of strudel (salty and sweet) every morning. It was really nice to have a breakfast directly on the lake with an incredible view at Isola Pescatory and Isola Bella!

The house is located directly on the road, which makes it very easy to find. We thought that it might be a little to loud but we did not bother at all. During the night there is not a lot of traffic on that road, so we were able to sleep absolutely without any problems.
The house is pretty much in the middle between the centre of Baveno and the centre of Stresa. Both of them can be reached by a 20-25min. walk.

We received a lot of valuable tips from Francesca about nice locations, which are worth to be visited. Some of them were the Borromeo Islands by boat, the cable car in Laveno (OMG!!! :-)), Stresa and the Sky Bar on the top of the La Palma hotel, Luino, Locarno, Arona, Mottarone and so on... Also a trip to Milano by train is highly recommended! It is an amazing city! And by the way, don't forget to try the GROM ice cream there. It is probably the best ice cream I have ever eaten in my life! Wow! It was a really nice week and I think this was not the last time we stayed there :)

The location of Francesca''s B&B is just perfect . From it you can easily explore Baveno - a beautifull small town or travel around all Lago Majore which is amazing.
Francesca is a warm , kind and caring host whose main concern is to please her hosts and make sure they are happy.
Warmly recommend LA Sorgente for few days of relax and easy going in the lakes area.

I stayed two great nights in la sorgente with my friend! Francesca is a very good host and her hints for restaurants and activities were worth following!
The room was clean and the nice breeze from the lake makes any airconditioning unnecessary! En plus the breakfast was with fresh Strudel and we got a pick up from the train station! Thank you for the weekend!
