Club Esse Posada in Palau

The worst hotel I have ever been to. This is never a 4 star hotel more like a hostel. We booked a room in the hotel but instead we got a room by the pool. Very dirty and old, cracked and dirty walls, hairs on bed, weird smelling, airconditioning is very loud and has not been cleaned in years, etc. Too bad I cant add photos. Bathroom has window without courtains and because the room is by the pool everyone can see inside especially at night. You cannot sleep because the music is still on by the midnight. You can hear every word when people are walking by. There is also no Wi-Fi. We made a complain twice but they could not do anything. On the website they only have photos of rooms in the hotel, so I am wondering why they do not add photos of other rooms? And the price they want for this is a joke. Do yourself a favour and go somewhere else.

The Hotel claim to be 4 stars which it is not true. Tables at the bar are all broken, personel barely speaks other language than Italian and you get different info from the reception depending on the person you ask. The senior women in the reception are not friendly and sometimes very rude. There is no option for late check-out at 12 even though check in is only at 4 o'clock... and believe me... they don't let you in before 4. I was there at 8 am and I could only enter at 4 - which I don t complain but don tt say you can t check out at 12 and lie that the Hotel is full (I saw many booking options online) if it is completely doable for the cleaning ladies to start cleaning your room at 12 as nobody get is before 4. The beach is quite small and the common bathrooms are not always clean and sometimes it lacks toilet paper. Beach food is awful and the kudos to Luca and Leonardo which where great serving us. They are responsible for a better grade. Another person in the bar was extremelly grumpy wouldn t smile and also no English at all. Music every evening was Ok, however I would suggest to finish at 22h as it would go until very late and we could hear very loud in our room. In 12 days, there was no chicken or cow meat in the restaurant, mostly fish and pork meat. Dinner was from 7h30 to 9 but if you arrive at 8.30 there are dishes that are not replaced. Food was good most of the time. Pizza was great and tasteful and the pasta as well. Not too much fruit ... Location is great, close to the Port and walking distance from the Hotel. For the rest, it was quite expensive for the service we got.

Who gives stars to hotels in Italy? 4 stars to this, joke right!? This facility seems like it has not been renewed since the 70s. Everything is old and dirty. On top, they gave us the handicapped room, which was not what we paid for. Naturally we asked for a change. Since it was Sunday, a lot of people were leaving the hotel. Answer we got from the manager at the reception, "Not possible, I don't have any other rooms".
The room was dirty, the bed supposed to be a queen but it was 2 singles with a gap in the middle. Bathroom was useless since it was the handicapped room. I had to fix the unstable toilet seat and the shower drain myself. Toilet was so high that if you're short your feet doesn't touch the ground, go figure! None of the staff or managers wanted to do anything. Zero customer service. To be specific, managers at the reception on July 12-13, 2025. Of course they did not want to give their names.
Breakfast was not fresh, pool was disgusting. Location is not good, every building around is from 70s. They looked like military bunkers turned into apartments and don't get me wrong, we loved other parts of Sardinia. Oh and we paid €1,000 for 5 nights for all this. On top of all this, they didn't want to do any refund, even after the "handicapped room/not possible to change" disaster. No one wanted to help.
Then we called Booking.com, they saved us. The male manager at the reception on the morning of July 13 was repeatedly telling us nothing is possible right!? After we called Booking, in 5 minutes everything suddenly became possible. We got some refund. It wasn't enough but I just couldn't stay there 5 more minutes. Oh and that "not possible" manager didn't even come to say sorry, he just couldn't show his annoyed face to us when we left the room keys.. Club Esse Possada, you are a disgusting joke. Thanks.

Booked through easyJet holidays. Hotel was certainly not a 4* probably 3* at best. Room assigned was nothing like the images shown on websites when booking, travelling as a couple we received a family room with bunk beds, two single beds and mattresses pushed together, MFI wardrobes, dated bathroom and the smallest ever shower, no WiFi in room. More like a hostel. We did request an alternative room within 24hrs of arrival but no support or solution from easyJet or hotel after multiple comms. Also every day pestered by cheese sellers around the complex on way to/from breakfast. Restaurant staff were rude on numerous occasions. Hotel is split into two areas and divided by road. Parking limited at peak times. Only positive would be location to town.

I could never recommend this place. Horrible stay in very dated rooms. Housekeeping was lovely but it ends there. Reception was rude and useless, as well as their hq offices. Waiting staff was some of the rudest we found, being shoved in the morning so they could pass through was not really expected in a 4 star facility. Please avoid.

The only positive of this place is the housekeeping team and that they have some parking.
We visited last year and booked very last minute, got a nice quiet room.
Decided to book again this year, planned the stay for a full holiday. What a mistake. They popped us far away from the hotel in a completely separate side building, windows facing the super noisy pool area, we could not sleep at night due to the weird animation, nor in the morning due to the kids (rightfully) playing at the pool. The room had barely any dark, the curtains did not cover the whole window doors, making it literally impossible to sleep or rest. The room was extremely dated, the beds very old and uncomfortable, the floor all broken. We were in a completely different location away from the breakfast area. They very rudely refused to cater for my husbands dietary requirements, so we were expected to check the breakfast area to see if we were lucky to find something, and then had to leave to go and grab breakfast for him in town as there was never anything.
Martina at reception was very rude when we arrived, I'm absolutely shocked by her attitude. But we witnessed even the others in reception not even trying to help the customers. Not sure if the place changed management from last year, but we will absolutely not be coming back. I have family living locally and normally help my friends in the UK coordinate holidays in Sardinia as I grew up in the area. This will absolutely be a place I will tell everyone to avoid. Worst experience in Palau so far, Avoid avoid avoid.

Next level scam - no where near the beach. Rooms are not clean, smell, have water damage & look like a science experiment re the lack of hygiene.
Staff are rude, not just a few but nearly all of them, make sure you have google translator working & listening
Date furniture, no where near a beach, stains on walls, human waste smeared on public toilet door, blood on vanity in room, room smell of mould
Demolition required & complete staff replacement
