Palau City Hotel in Palau

They charged me twice for the room and still have not refunded me. They promised we would receive a refund and now we are back almost a week and still no refund. I had to file a dispute with my credit card company. This is not the right way to do business. A/C didn't work properly, soap from previous guest in the soap dish in our bathroom.

At night the lift is closed and doesn’t say anything that you need to use the stairs until you figure it out youself walking around the building, which in our case was on the 4th floor..

I booked for a couple and 2 children aged 4 and 2. They gave me a bunk bed! There were cobwebs in the corners, but we made do. I slept in the bunk bed and the children and my husband slept in the double bed. I had to create the sides with the suitcases and what I found. The little one had a small accident and 3 drops of pee came out during the night. I immediately cleaned everything and notified the staff. Today they want to charge me 332 euros for cleaning the mattress (an absolutely unreasonable figure, I called both the financial police and the local police and they confirmed it) moreover without an invoice which they say they don't have. Attention!!

The hotel is very dilapidated and the room is basic. The price of €200 per night absolutely does not correspond to the services provided! The bathroom is ridiculously sized with poor maintenance, completely black joints and rust on the taps. The electricity didn't really seem up to current standards. The bunk beds for the children are patched up, the slats are not aligned. Not very reassuring. The hotel is quite noisy from 8am in the morning. We did not have breakfast at 12€ (which would have increased the price to 250€/4 people), without regret. The fridge didn't work. Positive points: the location in Palau for the boat departure to Maddalena. A supermarket a few steps away which avoids the hotel breakfast. And the cleaning was done correctly.

Ronex, the worst and most arrogant receptionist I've never met. I booked a room for 4 adults and had the preference to choose between large double bed and two single beds or bunk bed. Obviously, we chose 1 large bed and 2 singles. When I arrived to the hotel... Surprise! Bunk bed in my room! I complained that I booked the other option, and told the no other room is different, all of them are with bunk bed.... they never contacted me to reply my query via email.
After discussion with the useless person (Ronex), he told me that it was my fault and I should call the provider when the hotel's details were not updated on the website. He didn't allow me even to make the call from the reception with the problem of making international calls. Ronex, leave the job to someone who really appreciates helping people.
I won't recommend this hotel even to my enemy.
