We stayed a few days at Cantu Suite in Catania during our first ever visit to Sicily last week January 2025. I must say that we had a very comfortable stay at this particularly beautiful accomodation next to the famous Teatro Massimo Bellini and within walking distance to most of the nearby touristic attractions. Cantu Suite doesn't only provide comfortable environment with absolute cleanliness, quietness...
Very nice and cozy place, our host Corrado greeted us with great hospitality. Location is 10/10, by walk you can go to any place in central area of Catania. We went to the restaurants which he suggested to us and we had great experience……………..
Luigi and his team made sure I was well situated, and had an excellent restaurant recommendation for me on my single night in Catania. The property is well kept, and I was pleasantly surprized that it had a jacuzzi in the room as well. The location is fantastic, just steps from the Teatro Massimo Bellini, and a few more to the Duomo and other gems of the city.
Amazing Location and easy communication between owner and us. Great value for money
Fantastico. Encantador rincón en el centeo de Catania.
Awesome place, awesome jacuzzi, great atmosphere around, no doubts: a great place to stay.
Singed: a couple from Spain.
The site, for a fun-loving young or middle-aged couple, is highly recommended. There is an atmosphere outside, it has a very cool balcony from where the bar downstairs gives you beers, a very large jacuzzi for one person, all great. From 10.

This is definitely the place to stay when looking to spend a few days in the bustling city of Catania. It is located just a few minutes walk away from main attractions, such as Piazza del Duomo, the fish market, Via Etnea and the flea market. The apartment was clean and very spacious. Hot water was not an issue and beds were comfortable. Luigi was also a great host and provided a lot of useful tips...

Very good location, clean made every day. The noise outside is not so friendly, but it is not the owner of the hotel's fault. It is located in the center of the town, and until the beach there is a max 40 minutes walk. The bus from the airport has the station at the hotel. There are a lot of supermarkets in the area. There is also a very big local market every morning near the hotel.
The room is lovely and the location is central. There are 35 steps and no lift, so access would be difficult for anyone with a disability. Sleep is also difficult, because noisy youths gather outside the nearby McDonalds and the city street sweepers practice their craft outside your window from 4am .. round and round they go for an hour.
Surprisingly great location, yes it has character and the room we has had 1 queen and 2 single. Very clean, crisp linen and towels. High ceilings Very spacious, a balcony with the view of the PLAZA. I love the buzz of the people and cars below as I felt very European. Walking distance to the shops and restaurants, definitely need a car to Mt Etna but you can see it from 10mt from the hotel. The host...
Very central location, small simple hotel, with spacious room is managed by very friendly staff able to give you all the information on how to get around and what to visit in Catania and the surrounding area. In the morning you can prepare a small breakfast at the machine before going out (area full of bars and pastry shops). Our room also had a small balcony overlooking the square. Unfortunately there...
Modest but very welcoming hotel. Very clean rooms and very kind and helpful staff. Large room and bathroom. Excellent and central location. The only difficulty is the long and steep staircase to access it.
Our room was clean and tidy. Bed was comfy. We had refrigerator, TV, and a great wi-fi. The shower was beautiful with shower gels, shampoos and neat towels. Staff is super friendly, very helpful and nice. Excellent Service! Hotel exactly in the centre. Walking distance to all attractions. Highly recommended.

The location is great, right across from Savia, easy to get anywhere, I arrived at 12:30am and they waited for me without any extra charge
Clean and hygienic, located in the city center, convenient transportation, and cheap breakfast.
Location: Ideal for exploring Catania! Right next to the Chiosco della Musica, 5 minutes’ walk from Piazza Stesicoro and about 10 minutes from Piazza del Duomo. Surrounded by great restaurants and attractions. It’s also just a 20-minute walk from Catania Centrale train station if you prefer walking instead of taking a bus or taxi. Staff: The receptionists were exceptional — kind, friendly, and always...
No parking on property and if you leave the car on The street it may get robbed or hit. The stairs were small and the carpet look very dirty. Although the property states they have a a shuttle to the airport the reality is that they do not have one, they just simple ask people to take the public bus that stops 1 1/2. Lock from there. Very noisy since it is relight next to bars and restaurants so if...
I like quirky, bijou hotels. This one was perfect. It isn't hard to find on Google Maps, but it does hide behind a big, (to some perhaps uninviting) street door where you buzz for access. Walk down the passage and take the stairs to lift. The hotel is on the first and second floor of the building. Once through the door, you enter another world. The receptionists Simone & Anastasia speak several languages...

Decent size room but bathroom needs some work. Location was a bit sketchy however walkong distance to all main attractions.
Superb location for sightseeing a few minutes walk from Via Etna, actually street was a bit scruffy, though that’s a thing in Catania.

Fine location for a night
Location was fine, close to the city center. The staff was very friendly and accomodating. The facilities are on the older side. The view from the room was straight toward a wall on the single window we had.

Don't be fooled by appearances, not pretty on the outside but great on the inside. Rooms are big and clean, but be careful, one of the rooms only has the bathroom in the hallway, but that's ok since it's for single use. Owners are very friendly and helpful, breakfast is very good and rich. Location is extremely good, just a short walk to Palazza Elefanti and night life.

Excellent, my wife and I stayed 2 days and we were greeted by Melina and her husband Luigi, two affable, polite and very cordial people. beautiful structure with classic furnishings, excellent and varied breakfast, strategic position to visit the city, very inconvenient parking and with restricted access but essential if you come by car because there is no space around and it is a circle of hell, kind and friendly, I recommend it
One of the coziest and cleanest places I've stayed in. Convenient and vibrant street close to the main touristic stuff.
Stayed here with a group of friends. The building doesn’t say much on the outside, but once you are in, the rooms are really a work of art. Spacious, nicely decorated and fit for any needs. We received help with directions and advice on places to visit. Breakfast is enough to get you started, I would trade the ham to mortadella anytime 😀. Congrats!
Great location. 5 min on foot to the main square (piazza duomo). Friendly staff. Breakfast is not abundant but good. Room was large and the ceiling fresco gave the room a touch of elegance.
the room was big and comfortable beds. Breakfast sufficient. staff very helpful. property within walking distance of sights and main shopping street. lots of good restaurants around

We arrived at about 3pm and searched for about 10 minutes to find our hotel. Luckily we spotted a small sign in front of a locked door. We needed to phone the owner for access. My boyfriend and I stayed here last week during our vacation, and it was wonderful. The Hosts are lovely people. The space is so unique, clean, and cozy. Also a wonderful location where you can walk 3-10 minutes to any bar, shop, or food shops. Will definitely be booking again during our next Sicily visit!
Beautiful historic apartment in the center of Catania furnished with care and love by Claudia who is a fantastic "hostess", as well as the artist who has decorated and created a world in every room. Claudia helped me right from the booking with the logistics of my arrival and departure and was always available and courteous. I felt at home in the beautiful Catania and I will definitely come back. Thanks...
It seems furnished by Salvator Dalì, if Bunuel were alive he would gladly stay there. Claudia is a fantastic and always smiling host. The house is very close to via Etnea, the Bellini garden and everything beautiful there is to see in Catania. Highly recommended.

Arrived here a little earlier than check-in off the sleeper train and was met by Jane who was fantastic. Allowed us to drop off bags and sort out some laundry (there is a handy laundrette across the road). Whilst we were gone she ensured our room was ready a little early so we could freshen up before exploring Catania. Whilst we were chatting, Jane even gave us great recommendations for local restaurants...
The staff was friendly, kind, and very accommodating. They took care of the little details and they helped make the stay feel safe and comfortable. The rooms were clean and the location is excellent but I recommend ear plugs at night so you get a sound sleep. Bed is very comfortable and sheets white and clean. I give 5 stars.
This place was super! Both of the reception people Jane and Madison were so helpful. Great breakfast. Great location. Great price. Beautiful terrace.
Great location. Very clean. Very welcoming front desk.
Felt like home. Perfect!
Superb! Will come back for sure. We felt like home. Thanks to the wonderful staff at SI 😊
The environment around the b&b feels a bit shanty but nothing untoward has happened during our stay. The b&b is part of a complex. The hotel itself appeared to be refurbished recently but the complex on the whole is a bit run down. The service provided by Jane is top notched! Breakfast is ok but the breakfast room ran out of space quickly when there were many patrons.

The hotel is steeped in history, the staff is attentive, the location is good (I needed proximity to the train station), and the bathroom is large and comfortable.
Dislike: The rooms are a bit dated and have a musty smell. I couldn't get enough air, and the bed was uncomfortable because it was made up of two halves. Even though I requested a king-size bed in my reservation, there was no warm blanket...
Good value for money. Excellent location. Friendly and helpful service. A modest but delicious breakfast in a beautiful dining room. The room was large, comfortable, and clean. Air conditioning, a decent bathroom, Wi-Fi, and a TV were provided. We had everything we needed. I highly recommend it.
Very freandly personnel, organised and supportive. Rooms were clean and spacious but of an older style. It is very close to the center, which appeared to be apart from an advantage, a disantvantage. The city is very noisy during the night and does not let you properly sleep.

The only good thing was the location. The carpet in the hallway was terrible and dirty, the room was nice but had old fixtures and the shower was full of limescale. Bad story.
The tariff is competitive, the landlady is nice, the location is good for the tourists. The downside is that our room was noisy at night with revellers' shouting and in the early morning for the preparation of setting up the open air stalls down the street. With the poor noise protection, not recommended for shallow sleepers. In the end, you get what you paid.
Good location and right next to metro station. Food and other shopping all nearby
The room was fine, I can even say it was a bit spacious compared to other single rooms I had on my trip. It was the check in process that I had most difficulty with. This hotel met my needs exactly. I am a man traveling alone. I wanted to be near the center of town, the Piazza. I wanted a simple room that was clean and had a low price. The hotel was all of these. They did not have breakfast. The staff was helpful. My needs were limited, but this hotel turned out to be a perfect choice.
Good stay!
Overall good stay. Many steps. No lift. Front desk super nice.
Loved it!
We loved our room. We loved everything! Grazie mille!
This is a 3-star hotel, and it matches that classification. The location is truly excellent – it couldn’t be better. If your room faces the piazza, it can be quite noisy until around 4 AM, but once the windows are properly closed, you can sleep peacefully.
The hotel is very clean, including the bathrooms, which are well maintained and have a spacious, comfortable shower.
The building is historical...
It’s a $1,000,000 view and location but a $50 room. Tiny and outdated.
The hotel is located at the center of major tourist attractions, restaurants and transportation. The furniture and fixtures are old but the hotel is very clean.
No elevator or food available at the hotel.
Great views from the room.
