Where to stay in Catania

This hotel met my needs exactly. I am a man traveling alone. I wanted to be near the center of town, the Piazza. I wanted a simple room that was clean and had a low price. The hotel was all of these. They did not have breakfast. The staff was helpful. My needs were limited, but this hotel turned out to be a perfect choice.

The hotel is located at the center of major tourist attractions, restaurants and transportation. The furniture and fixtures are old but the hotel is very clean. No elevator or food available at the hotel. Great views from the room.

Giulia and Paolo are so hospitable! very sweet people who are always offering help. I mean it when i say that you don't have this service in some 5 star hotels. Rooms are more beautiful than in the pictures and very clean! that is really important to us, and every morning a lovely breakfast. I arrived in Catania after a long series of flights from the US. I was greeted by Paolo who insisted on carrying my luggage up to my top floor room. After I was settled, he walked me around the neighborhood pointing out his favorite restaurants and told me about some of the attractions in Catania. He and his wife were not only gracious hosts but they made me feel at home away from home. Grazie, Paolo

It is probably slightly overpriced and you need a sherpa attitude to climb all stairs to the top floor, particularly if with heavy luggage. On the other hand, it is located in the center of Catania so you have everything at your fingertips, including a nice terrace to enjoy an after dinner drink in peace. It was central for access to the sights of the town. Very safe and secure. The rooms are only accessible by stairs, no lift. This was no problem for us. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. Clean and very comfortable with access to a terrace. A very comprehensive continental breakfast. Would recommend.

One of the most beautiful, cosy and hygienic accommodations I've ever been at since my last 20 years of travel. Furniture and decorations are very old fashioned, classy and romantic! The terrace is a great place to relax after a long day of sight seeing. Also great hospitality!! I'd love to come back soon! ☀️

A beautiful guesthouse in the heart of catania with a beautiful view of Mt.Etna. very hospitable and excellent service. Rooms were gorgeous and very clean. Would definitely recommend to friends and family. Will definitely be visiting again very soon.

Pleasantly surprised by the hotel. The room was very big (albeit a bit outdated), ACs worked well, large balcony, water dispenser in reception to fill bottles, very large selection of food during the breakfast. What’s more, the hotel gave me gluten free goodies during the breakfast which were sealed to reduce risk of contamination. Staff were nice and even gave my son a colouring book.

The property is conveniently located, easy walking distance to areas of interest. Its about a 30 min walk to the train station. Room is clean and light, staff are really helpful.

The navigation led us to an old building with no signs (hotel nameplates or information). The international phone number provided online was disconnected. The room's air conditioning wasn't working; we relied entirely on a fan. The noise from the bars downstairs in the bustling city center was too much. It was impossible to get a proper rest. The front desk service was good; they even stored our luggage.

Basic hotel with good location. Well located hotel in the heart of Catania. Basic no frills hotel but god value for money if you dont mind a bit of noise from traffic and music.

The hotel was fine but the restaurant attached was pretty dismissive to my family member by forgetting their breakfast. They apologized the next day.

Extremely convenient location, very close to piazza Duomo and to the places one may want to visit in Catania. The central lively location also means that it can get quite noisy, as there are many restaurants/bars around. Excellent large rooms, high ceilings, with balconies, right in the middle of the action. A great place to base yourself while in Catania. It can be noisy at night so if that bothers you consider a location outside the city center.

The view was stunning, the room was small, but big enough for sleeping in and feel comfortable. The host was super nice, she was in touch with us all the period of stay, by advising where to eat, how to find the property and where to park. The parking fees were included in the price.

Great stay near city center Rob cordially welcomed us to B&B 5 Balconies even though we arrived late at night. We stayed in a very nice room, but shared two bathrooms with the other three rooms, which was not a problem because they were well equipped and tidy. The B&B provides an excellent breakfast with local bread and fresh fruit and the owners make sure to provide a pastry to your preferences....
