Where to stay in Catania

Loved the location but no front desk staff made challenging and time consuming for arrival, check in and check out in try ruins. Also, parking is nearly impossible in the area.

We were a party of two, one booked the standard room and one the deluxe room… The deluxe room was nearly twice the price of the standard room, but shockingly was smaller in size and because it is in the top floor that is not served by the elevator, you must walk up the stairs (carry your luggage) to the last floor. We had assumed the much higher price meant you would get a much bigger/better room...

Location of the hotel is very centralised to most attractions. Unfortunately the hotel does not provide shower gel, hair shampoo and conditioner and we were told to use bath foam as body wash and hair shampoo, which we find it very odd. The breakfast was not palatable.

Hotel situated in the very central area of Catania and few steps away from piazza elefante. Very clean rooms, comfortable bed but no tea/coffee facilities in the room. Parking is at Eur15, which is a must as its very hard to find a parking slot in the vicinity.

Very good location. The day we checked in the front desk gentleman was extremely kind and helped us upstairs with all our luggage. The whole staff was extremely polite . Even the night staff member was very polite and helpful. I enjoyed the morning cappuccino.

We had a day trip planned with a rental car that fell through due to an issue with our drivers license. Our twin room was a good size and clean. The beds were comfortable. The bathroom was large with a good shower. Staff were friendly, pleasant and helpful. We were on the first floor with no lift access but the reception staff carried our cases to and from our room. Breakfast had a good choice of food. The breakfast was a lovely assortment of Italian pastries, some meat and cheese, and fruit. The room was clean and comfortable but do bring ear plugs if you are a light sleeper as the street noise is considerable. The room is also bright due to lights from outside, so a mask was a plus for me as well. I would happily stay here again. The staff, especially Paula, were friendly and very accommodating

Great hotel! Antonio, the bar manager makes the best Negroni cocktails! Our group had so much fun in the bar lounge area and Antonio was very professional and accommodating.

The hotel is a good choice for a short stay. The room is large, the bed is comfortable, service staff is friendly. The downside is that, even the hotel is located in a convenient location, it's too close to some run-down neighborhoods. I suggest the hotel staff provide guidance to the guests on areas to avoid.

Our stay in Catania was great. The hotel manager went above and beyond helping us on multiple occasions. The area and views from the hotel were less than scenic but a short walk away was the dining, shopping, and historic areas. It was a little unnerving to find the hotel lobby door was locked on the inside so we could not exit without the desk clerk and his key when leaving early.

Booked this room for one night for my children arriving to join a family vacation. Area is riddled with prostitutes. No parking. Unsafe to walk in evenings as single females. Very basic room. Clean. Air conditioning. Would suggest you research other locations especially if you wish to stay longer than a quick overnight.

Everything was great, only issue was that when people from the rooms above were flushing their toilets, the water running through the pipes was very loud and right next to our bed, but that might not be the case for all rooms.

The reception staff were really helpful. In fact they were brilliant. Free tea,coffee and water was always available from near reception. I returned to my beloved Catania, and the place I chose for a few days' stay was truly perfect! It has a homey atmosphere, more like a guesthouse than a hotel. The entrance is a little hard to find, but the security is good so it's safe. The room interior was very cute and comfortable. The room was beautiful and the location was close to the center of town. There was inexpensive parking just up the street. Lots of places to eat nearby. The only negative is that it is located on a very busy street and the traffic at night was really loud and we found it very difficult to sleep.
