Where to stay in Catania

If you want to fill like at home, this is your place in Catania! On very communicative place - 7 min by walking to the historical centre and to the central bus station. The hotel is very clean and atmosphere is very friendly. Hot recommend!

Unfortunately there was difficulty accessing the room as the key card wasn't left, so after travelling all day it was pretty disappointing for it to take so long to access the room. Location is walking distance to Main sights. The room was impeccably clean and we loved having breakfast at the owners pastry shop around the corner with the locals. Wifi was unreliable.

Lovely spacious room with AC, also large bathroom. Everything needed for a comfortable stay. Has a fridge in the common area if you need to store water etc. If you have a car, best to park it on the street after 5-6pm as the street empties out and several free parks become available at this time. We had a great stay! Clean, modern and spacious room with balcony. Close to the city center with many nice restaurants. The host was very helpful, and we had the best croissants for breakfast at his patisserie nearby. Highly recommend!

Appreciated the large clean bathroom, beautiful balcony and comfortable bed. Host was thoughtful and flexible about checkin and held onto my luggage at checkout so I could explore the city before my flight. Breakfast was delicious at nearby Patisserie. Great experience :)

The location is fantastic, right next to the fish market with plenty of restaurants and bars. I was travelling solo and Angelo gave me so many tips on what to do, what restaurants to go to. The room was huge and clean! If you're looking at exploring Catania, you've got to stay here!

The location was great, close to lots of shops and bakeries but still a calm and quiet location. Within easy walking distance to the main square, the bus stops and lots of points of interest.

The street outside is dirty, but open the plain door and you enter a grand old palazzo with interior courtyard. Most of the building is awaiting restoration but the rooms that have been restored are grand, high-ceilinged and well-equipped. The B&B is strategically located, with the train station a 10-minute walk away. The metro station is 200 meters away, the bus stop is right outside, there's a fantastic bar just down the stairs, and supermarkets are nearby. In short, it's truly a great place to stay. The owner is helpful and friendly, and the rooms are clean and well-equipped. Highly recommended!

Good room for 1 night stay in Catania. Excellent location. Room was clean however shower was outdated and did not appear the cleanest. Thin walls; could easily hear other guests coming in/out but it did not affect our sleep. Nice touch of bottled water provided with access to common kitchen. Overall good value for price, would recommend for short stay in Catania.

Very attractively designed room with private bathrooms, very clean. It is on a quiet street right at the center of town, a block away from all the fun and restaurants. Andrea is a great host, and arranged for a great airport pickup driver, who also took us on half-day trips to Syracuse and Taormina. Highly recommended.

We stayed in Puritani B&B for one night as a couple in early April. We booked the premium suite room (with bathtub in the room). Overall the room was okay - large but little dated in parts, and the spa bath in the room felt to us like more of a photo op / vibe / reason to charge more, than something you would use given it is directly next to a window on a busy road and train line and little privacy...

This was the perfect place. A short walk from Catania Central station; we took the Alibus from the airport. We had lovely 1 week stay. The owner Mrs Gabriella was very professional and went above and beyond to make our stay special. Will definitely recommend as the location aswell is very convenient to explore the local sightings and city centre. We had an amazing holiday.

Beautiful B&B at the centre of Catania. Everything is in walking distance. The old market outside is a nice touch. The bed was comfortable and the aircon works a treat.

The room was spacious and cosy. However, the owner was completely irresponsible and unhelpful when issues related to the property arose. During cleaning, the housekeeper likely threw away my friend's pills. When we informed the owner, he began searching the trash (as if something usable could be found there), and when he didn’t locate them, he acted as if I wasn't speaking to him, totally ingoring...

Stayed only for a night, but got all the help from Alessandra, explained how to get to the place , where to go to explore area, etc. Let us in after 10pm , which was very nice. Great attitude, helpful staff, decent service and very convenient location.

Good value for money. Central position. The owner is always available for anything, advice and booking excursions, reminders for excursions, taxi booking. I advise.

The accommodation is centrally located, close to restaurants, street food, pubs, fish market, shopping street and much more. The churches and cathedrals of the old town are in a few minutes' stroll. It is a real experience to walk down among the old buildings of the city center early in the morning. Giulia, the manager, is very kind. We decided to go back with a group of friends.

Best place to stay while in Catania

Good accomodation in the heart of Catania. Comfortable bed and a nice bathroom. Recommended !

Large, well equipped and much more clean than average rooms, simple but functional furniture. Excellent location for visiting the city. Sore points: poor management to say the least and little attention to the customer. Certainly not one of those places where you feel "pampered". Breakfast included but lacking any comfort.

Good structure in a good location, shame about the management, lacking where it would be served and rude to the limits of rudeness in the solution of overbooking. Very sad breakfast, only three pods of coffee for the entire structure ... voluntary lack to force the use of the paid dispenser? If I ever return to Catania, I would definitely look for other solutions.

All excellent and taken care of in the smallest details. We took the Suite with the Jacuzzi, an excellent structure, all very clean, very elegant and perfect furnishings. hot tub large and comfortable. The hot air pump heats up the room in no time. SELF check in but service via Whatsapp always active for any questions. Really nice. We will be back! We will be back!

Good place for a group of 4 or the solo traveler. Very spacious and modern. Washer on site is convenient. The property had no hot water during my stay. It was only communicated at the end that the HW heater has to be turned on from the outside. This should’ve been communicated at check-in and/or done prior to arrival. Additionally, there was no outside lighting. This made getting into the apartment...

The b&b is located in a building in via Umberto I very close to both the alibus stop for the airport bus and via etnea and villa Bellini. Basic Campground by the Sea. Obviously you will have to pre-book first row pitches. That did work fine for me. Campground is about a 30 min walk from the harbour where you will find really good seafood restaurants. Staff is friendly and supportive. Bathrooms are basic and clean. Toilet seats are missing - annoying.

Lovely camping to explore Catania and the region (Traomina, Etna etc). You can also take a swim between the rocks in the sea. Real friendly staff! Large supermarket is nearby and you can also dine and have breakfast at the campsite. Tip: cycle from the campsite to Catania center along the (blue) bike lane along the coast of Catania city.

Nothing special, a bit expensive for Sicily (paid 19$ for 1 tent, 1 person, 1 night) and doesn't offer anything for the price. Early checkout (10AM). Fine for one night if you can't find anything else. The location is decent.

I’ve got mixed feelings about this place. Booked a week here in a bungalow. Had my daughter with me aged 11, my partner also for the first few days. The bungalow was quite grotty and dismal. They are joined into other bungalows in a row. The first night there was a lot of noise from people partying and then another neighbour was arguing with the loud people. They all left. Nice camp. When we arrived, no one could speak english, but we managed to get what we wanted.

The rocky beach is fantastic. Several entrances into the sea. The camping is small and clean. Very Familie style. The restaurant was somehow closed. If they serve fresh pasta, this would be the ottimo!!!

The place is very nice but not very convenient...only bathroom female or male are shared,far from the bedroom. Not even a microwave in the kitchen, no paper towels,very old items too cook... It's very cold in winter since common places are always opened by window, but you can warm the bedrooms.

The only negative imI would say is that the rooms can be very cold in winter. Luckily I came prepared. But other than that, it provided what I wanted...a clean room and a place to take a shower. The water in particular was pretty good. Some places, water takes a long time to heat, but not here.

Rooms very clean with large beds but very simple. Bathroom NOT IN THE ROOM. Warning! You need a lock for the locker. If you don't have any of yours, you can buy it wtmith 3 euro from the reception. Money for the value = EXPENSIVE

I stayed here only 2 days and I wish I stayed longer - they have GREAT AC in the rooms, which is much needed in the Sicilian heat 😅 fantastic morning coffe, very helpful and kind staff and the kitchen is nice and big. It's a lofty space which is very nice! And their bathrooms are very practical. Will definitely be back!

It is recommended not to come to this city, the streets are dirty and the hotel rooms are the only clean places in the city. The room was very big and it was the only 4-star hotel I stayed in Italy that provided disposable slippers, and they were of very good quality. I stayed in 16 4-star hotels in Italy in one month. The heating was just not enough, it was only 11 degrees at night in early April...

The hotel does not have free parking, and you need to pay to park in a nearby commercial parking lot. The description of the Ctrip booking that there is a parking lot is misleading.
