Where to stay with kids in Sicily

The pools were clean and warm, never crowded and despite the hotel being apparently nearly full there was never any difficulty getting sunbeds

Lots of greenery, 2 swimming pools, free barking, good service, good size room, comfortable bed, good toilet and shower. Nice balcony, efficient A/C and refrigerator. Staff are wonderful and helpful

Swimming pools were too cold, no good dining options but many good restaurants around. No expresso machine in room, no ironing in room. In room Safe box charged 2 euros per day!!!

Agata our maid was fantastic! The nicest lady I've ever met, cleaned our room daily, changing towels, fresh toiletries, helped me get mozzi spray when local supermarket sold out! Dario on reception was also wonderful, so helpful giving us map to tour area, very professional, friendly, always welcoming

Lovely room overlooking beautiful gardens, friendly helpful staff, excellent breakfast, we were only bed and breakfast, as there are lots of restaurants, within walking distance of the hotel, convenient supermarket just 200 yards from the hotel, plenty of sunbeds conveniently spaced, buffet type dinner, very good, but we only ate there a couple of times

We stayed 10 nights in this magnificent 4-star hotel. But what made our stay 5-star was the kindness, helpfulness and fantastic smile of Dario, who was always ready to make us feel at home

It is quiet most of the time and appears to be designed for (Italian) families with very young children, for more elderly people but not teenagers or adults who want to do more than sit around the 2 pools or on the nearby private beach

This hotel has so much potential but there are several odd practices that need to be changed. Food lukewarm at best, although pretty good products. Lovely grounds and beach area. AI drinks too small, shops mostly closed

When booking the website said snacks available throughout the day. The only snacks available within AI at the pool bar was what seemed to be left over breakfast pastries or cold squares of pizza

Dinner - Same as lunch but with more options including a roast station which changed each day from meat to fish. Drinks during meals - beer, red and white wine on tap as were water and soft drinks

Breakfast ran from 7:30 to 9:30 we didn't make it down for this. Lunch - plenty of choice from local cuisine to pizza, burgers, chips etc. Fresh fruit and ice cream was available at lunch only

If you required a kettle, iron and anything else you had to rent them. Someone told us in the resort a kettle was €30 for the week! Food - We stayed as an all inclusive guest

Place is magnificent, food is very good...... animation team is STUNNING ! Have had LOAD of fun, fun for kid..... and especially for teenage.

3 Daily yoga sessions by Catarina were lovely, she's very knowledgeable & such a warm personality. Great choice of different locations depending on weather. Pilates by Sébastieno was great too

Without a plus, you will have to pay for it according to the price list, which is located near the bar. There is no water in the rooms, there are cups in the vending machines nearby

Absolutely amazed by this place. Beautiful, clean, and the friendliest staff. My favorite was Claudia, who showed me Adonai Eremo AND gave the best ceramic painting class

This is a gorgeous resort hotel that has excellent service, beautiful location. The pool is next level gorgeous next to sea. Excellent staff and concierge can book day trips

It was a very welcomed creative part of the holiday. 10/10 would recommend going here, and look for events with Claudia - she’s the best!

Erasmo at the beach pool is very friendly and helpful. Having your own transport is helpful, as it is about a 30 minute walk to a supermarket or to Portichello, where there are bars and restaurants

Would be difficult with children and suitcases. No local shop around the hotel, one restaurant opposite which was very nice food. The hotel does have a pizza restaurant which was also lovely

This hotel is lovely and clean very modern views where good but it’s in the middle of nowhere no shop near no entertainment during the day or night staff don’t understand English they are so rude breakfast ok if you like cakes hotdogs the walk to the harbour from the hotel is so scary no foot paths the cars are so fast it’s just unreal cleaners cleaned every day but only changed sheets once The boat...

The walk into the local village was also anti-climatic, not much to see and did not feel the safest as two female travellers. We spent most of the trip in the hotel, quite lucky the hotel was lovely!

Main dining room was a buffet and resembled a staff canteen. Service was non existent and the food was poor quality. The A L'acarte restaurant only served Pizza while we were there

Hotel is fantastic, only slight draw back was the pool restaurant had flies landing on the food

Amazing, all you need! Amazing selection of food and drinks. Great service. Lots to do onsite. Great location for day trips and also offered shuttle bus trips.

Two that stood out were our maid Angela who looked after our room and Angelo who looked after us each breakfast time in the signature level breakfast room. It's well worth doing some of the excursions

First of all the rooms are spacious and cleaned every day. Fresh linen and towel provided each day. The pool areas are clean, tidy and family friendly. There is entertainment on around throughout the day

Bizarre system of being required to buy credit in advance for bar/ food with any unspent surplus retained by the hotel. Beach and pool towels available for hire! Felt generally ripped off

The worst thing for me are the beds. It would have been more comfortable sleeping outside by the pool. I have one night left here and I am genuinely dreading going to bed tonight

The entertainment team were exceptional, always ready to meet you with a smile and friendly face. Great food and drinks and in a beautiful setting, with easy access to cefalu. I will definitely be back again

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Right on the beach with ocean views from my room. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. The property has easy access to the beach and nearby restaurants.

Rooms were clean, staff were helpful, the pool, private beach, games room, and other facilities were great, and breakfast had a good variety. I would stay here again.

The room had a view of Mount Etna and it was thrilling to see the Mountain during Sunrise. The staff were friendly and receptive. Rooms were large with a big clean bed and linens. Bathroom was more than average size

Woww, the best hotel room I have ever had!! Big spacious and clean. I loved it and I’d stay there again. The free shuttlebus service is awesome as well. They also have an empty garage if you are coming with a car 😍

It was a good and relaxing stay. I think parking is free here. There is a bit of Industrial area around the hotel, but it is very safe. Saw plenty of families with kids enjoying their stay

Antoinella at the front desk was extraordinarily helpful to me with an important item I accidentally left behind. The surrounding neighborhood is very walkable and safe

The service was up to par. The toilet was substandard, the floor was slippery, and the room facilities were old. The yogurt at breakfast was in a bucket, not a cup! Omelettes were available for an additional fee.

Every member of staff — from the reception team to the bar and restaurant staff, the spa ladies, and the housekeeping team — was incredibly accommodating and warm. It genuinely felt like a home away from home

The swimming pool is open normally, and the hotel has obviously been renovated and is not in a very old state. Everything is good, and you don't need to walk to the 534 bus to the city center, but the time is very random

We actually drove longer distances outside Palermo with our rental car and walked or took the bus to the centre. The swimming pool is located on the roof, but it was exceptionally small sized

The public spaces were clean and comfortable, the pool area was clean but there was a definite lack of sunbeds and we didn't swim because of the bathing cap rule

Pool is not great but nicly located at top floor. What I really fid nit like is how they handle luggage storage

It’s kept in open room close to reception theoretically reception watches over it but when i came to pick up my luggage stuff at front desk was overwhelmed with guests and just walked in took my stuff no questions asked (and people in reception weee different shift that did not know me, so ai would not be v supportive if anyone could walk in and take your luggage)

The hotel's breakfast is served on the 14th floor, which is a bit difficult to reach by lift at breakfast time, but the breakfast itself is tasty and extensive, including scrambled eggs and fried bacon

After reading some of the reviews of the hotel, I was dreading checking in. Yes, the hotel is a bit out of the way, in quite a run down area but Ubers and taxis were reasonably cheap

They REALLY went above and beyond to help me plan the proposal for my girlfriend — they made it so special and were always in contact with me 24/7 to make sure everything was perfect

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Mangia’s Torre del Barone Resort in Sicily! The place is stunning , a perfect combination of beautiful surroundings, relaxing atmosphere, and warm hospitality

While the rooms are a bit dated, the pool and beach facilities make this an absolute gem of a resort! The unspoiled views of Isola Bella by the beach and gorgeous view of Mt Etna at the pool are breathtaking

We spent a fantastic week in this hotel. It was amazing to have direct access to a beautiful private beach as well as an infinity pool. There were plenty of loungers to relax

The location was great, right on the sea side and close to the train station. The shuttle service provided by the hotel that takes you into Taormina was also excellent. The staff were all super friendly too

Una is a spectacular hotel. Wonderful staff, location amazing including a shuttle bus to the town. Beautiful daily breakfast, incredible views of Mt Etna and pool. Would stay again in a heartbeat

It’s not a luxury place by any means, but if you’re looking for something affordable, practical, and decently located, this is a solid option. I would consider staying here again for short trips or business visits

We went for a 4-day golf clinic with Andrea Zanardelli which was a great, top experience. The golf courses were wonderful, views from everywhere were stunning and the staff really helpful and all very friendly

45 holes of outstanding links golf, a variety of restaurants with the finest dining experiences on the island, a massive spa complex with an extensive of unique treatments, therapeutic pools, the best equipped fitness room/gym, etc, etc

The pool is probably one of the largest in the EU. The beach extends hundreds of yards with hundreds of loungers, umbrellas, full bar and food service. The breakfast buffet is one of the best you'll find

Many 5 star resorts can be really packed with guests, making it hard to find a lounge at the pool or beach, get a table at a restaurant, massage, etc

Verdura resort is a special place. The golf was beautiful, the tours, small towns on hilltops, cheese making, Valley of the Temples, fresh gardens and food were all amazing. What really makes a place is the people

The structure is clean and is in a strategic point to easily reach different cities to visit in the surrounding area! Reception and restaurant staff always polite and friendly and ready to satisfy every request with a smile! The pool is always clean and welcoming for guests to enjoy a bit of relaxation

Excellent structure, located a little outside Acireale. Comfortable rooms with beds equipped with new mattresses. Beautiful swimming pool and very well-kept garden

Not a bad hotel, with its own sandy beach across the road. Sun loungers and umbrellas on the beach, towels for free. The hotel is located next to the Catania airport, which is not a problem and is rather a plus

in Sicily?! with what Sicilian patisserie can offer?! the guys in the kitchen should look into this. The only thing I would say negatively is that the bathroom on my second stay was with a bathtub and old accessories

the rooms are a bit outdates, curtains are dirty and I booked a room with seaviews but I could see the tiniest bit of sea. Overall ok, beds comfortable, nice staff but overpriced.

A very nice hotel just outside of Catania and near the airport. it has spacious rooms, comfortable beds, good air-conditioning. Their restaurant is very good too

I twice asked for a Norma pasta and they both times accommodated my request although it wasn't in the menu. The menu is a bit complicated for my taste and the deserts offered were only standard tiramisu and cheese cake

The evening also offers entertainment at the pool bar, doing quizzes for all nationalities and live music

The only fault we had with the hotel is the breakfast which was cold every morning the baymarie had hardly any water in to keep anything warm bacon left in its metal containers on the side going cold I asked for some beans as they were all gone when she came back I thought great these will be hot but no put out cold very disappointing

The pool area is perfect for lounging around, also offering activities such as water gym at a couple of points through the day

There are fitness machines and a children’s playground on the premises, which is great for active guests and families with kids

Me and my partner have just had a weeks stay at this resort and from reading the reviews I was skeptical but I can honestly say it’s one of the best places we have stayed. The resort itself is absolutely stunning

Visited in August 2022 for 6 nights with a family of 7 from U. it was our first time in this resort and we were not disappointed! We had 4 rooms - all basic and simple yet comfortable

The amazing sea views, beautifully managed gardens and choice of pools overlooking the sea or mountains meant one could have a different view each time

Now we have to walk 25 minutes down a dangerous road with dangerous drivers with a large suitcase and other bags to get our early morning train. We have a family occasion in Patti at 11 am on Sunday morning

We rang the hotel and they sent a shuttle bus, which we were grateful for. However we had not been informed of this. First impressions of the hotel, it was beautiful and the scenery was spectacular

😬 Then I asked about a lift on the bus to get a train after 8 am and staff were so unhelpful, saying the shuttle bus does not run until 9 am and to a ring a taxi in Patti, 30 minutes away to get a lift to the station, 10 minutes away

However another receptionist explained that we could be dropped there if we agreed to paid €3 per person per trip. We didn't mind this but it was never explained even though we asked 2 receptionist about taxi's into town

Rooms were clean and spacious and cleaning staff were very efficient. Beds comfy, fridge in room but not a minibar as stated. Also no kettle/ coffee machine. 😒 However, things got worse

We waited and then discovered that the beach was empty and miles and miles away from the local town, with a cafe with staff who didn't understand what we were saying

Pool opens May 1 but you can sit poolside and enjoy the fresh air and greenery surrounding the pool. Terrific restaurant and attentive wait staff. Room was generously sized and super clean

You have to join Mr motivator for his poolathon, exercises in the pool, he is fab and so enjoyable to listen to. Two people stood out, Mateo and Claudia M

Great location a 15 min walk from central train station and on the waterfront. You do have to walk 10+ minutes to get to restaurants and 15+ min to the historic city center

With a heatwave hitting throughout my 3-day stay, the best decision I could have made was to choose this hotel specifically for its pool – and boy, did we enjoy it! The atmosphere was super chill, complete with a DJ, the lush surrounding garden, and the perfectly tempered water

Breakfast was fabulous, offering a wide and comprehensive variety to suit all tastes, including juices, fresh fruit, cold cuts, hot dishes, omelettes, and naturally, excellent coffee! Leo's attentiveness, and indeed that of the entire staff, was exceptional

I have been visiting Letojanni for 10 years and have never been disappointed by this hotel, its staff or its services. Its the end of November over 18 degrees....life looks fab from here.

Website says it has three bars one was shut all the time which led to us sat in the pool bar listening to a very poor singer and his piano. Entertainment team really could do with sorting out

The breakfast was very boring and tasteless (except the croissants). There were also not much information about the opening hours of the facilities. The pool closed at 18:00, which is very early in my opinion

The pool, the staff, the cleaning and the facilities are great. I would definitely stay at this hotel again
