VOI Marsa Siclà Essentia in Sampieri

Processes for getting beach towels and physical signing for drinks/food/services are very old fashioned. These need to be digitised as well as the key entry to the rooms. The wrist bands have absolutely no functionality whatsoever and are only to indicate board status. These are now waterproof and digital chips everywhere else and smooth out these type of issues with a simple digital change. The food is the most authentic you could find a the best part of the holiday, followed by the exceptional service provided by the reception and buggy staff. Perhaps the restaurant manager should have the weight of the hotels problems removed from his shoulders and lighten up a bit. Some small issue with the beach guys telling us not to use the front beach beds because we had a blue wrist band but then let the Italian speaking guests use them.

Just returning from a relaxing 10night stay. We loved the hotel layout and the gardens are beautiful, get a delux room if you can, as you get additional benefits which are worth it. The Pool is amazing and there are always plenty of beds. The beach is beautiful, and again you can always get a bed. The own is a ten minute walk and we recommend the seafood restaurant on the beach front Rabbuso trattoria di Mare (excellent). We were half board, as it’s not easy to get to the town at night and taxis are expensive. Their pizza option is excellent. Overall we would recommend

This hotel is well thought out staff are attentive and eager to help. Little touches make a difference like having regular shuttles to the nearby beach. Also having an allocated table in the restaurant was helpful. The food choices were excellent and varied. The pool was excellent and the grounds are beautifully landscaped. Rooms are comfortable and cleaned daily. It is advantageous to have a car to explore the locale or to visit the local supermarket. Overall we had a relaxing holiday in a tranquil environment.

The positives are the dining options, the pool and sports facilities. The negatives are primarily the room. Very basic especially the bathroom. The systems used by the hotel such as a charge card to order drinks was odd especially as the bar does not take cash. There were no waiters to take orders by the pool. You had to physically go to the bar area in the reception to order and collect drinks. There is also a 20 euro towel deposit each which can only be paid for by cash.

Beautiful resort set in stunning grounds, fantastic large pool and very comfortable sun loungers. All staff around the hotel, pool and the beach are friendly, very helpful and really want you to have a relaxing stay with them.

The hotel complex is located on a hillside on the edge of Sampieri with the beach and hotel's café located a 20 minute walk down a lane. Reception, restaurant, bar , shop and other facilities including a conference room and beauty room are at the top of the site with the 11 accommodation blocks in the spacious well maintained grounds further down the hill along with tennis court, paddle ball courts and a fitness area. There is a large swimming pool and sun terrace immediately below the reception block. Electric buggies are available to drive guests around the grounds with a regular 15 minute service to and from the beach. Cars can be rented directly at the hotel and may be booked in advance of arrival on site. Rooms in the accommodation blocks are on 2 or 3 levels each with own terrace or balcony, and are spacious. The restaurant has meals on a buffet basis; choice, quality and quantity of local food are excellent. Service throughout is first class, the staff charming and helpful with nothing being too much trouble. Cleanliness everywhere is excellent. Being remote from any roads, the entire site is peaceful, the atmosphere added to by the many trees throughout. We stayed for a week in early May, the hotel was quiet and all of the staff made us feel most welcome. With no hesitation, we can say that this hotel is an ideal place to stay for visiting the beautiful Val di Noto area of south-east Sicily, and we would happily stay there again. Thank you to the staff at VOI Marsa Sicla Essentia in Sampieri for making our holiday experience so amazing!

Very nice, well-maintained complex with lots of greenery. Kindest staff ever! A shuttle to the private beach section is provided - a great service also. The only negative point for us: We eat vegan and vegetarian. Even though the quality of the food is very good, there is unfortunately little choice for us. Grazie per la bella vacanza.
