B&B Porta del Re in Taormina

Lovely hotel at a perfect location in Taormina. Just near the historic oldtown entrance, host Emanuele is showing a great hospitality. He made many things easier for us. The rooms are clean, breakfast is OK. I highly recommend the hotel

Little nice B&B in the center of everything. Delicious Italian breakfast on the terrace , nice view of the sea, close to bus station ... just perfect! Emanuele was more than a host, he was our friend, always smiling and eager to help us. And in fact he really helped us to visit Etna and we thank him for that! Gabriela and Cristian

The host is a lively man with a lot of heart! He was kind, helpful and wanted us to have the best time in Taormina. He makes breakfast for all the guests with fresh bakery goods and handmade coffee. Lots of personal touches.
The location is pretty perfect at the very beginning of the main steet with access to restaurants, busses and cable car (when in use)
The rooms are very basic. No soundproofing and the bed was also bare minimum. There is a rooftop with a nice view. We would recommend for traveller's with basic needs and deep sleep.

Wonderful place to stay in Taormina. Spacy rooms with balconies and terrace on the roof with great views, where you can eat the breakfast or just spend some time and relax. And last but not least - wonderful host Emanuele who is very nice and sociable and knows everything about the neighborhood. I highly recommend it.

Perfect location to enjoy the town. Excellent host who is very helpful with explaining what and where to go. Emanuele made sure that we were taken care even beyond our stay, by ensuring that we were able to retrieve a lost passport. He informed us of the atms into avoid in town, and was a pleasure to chat with in the Morning over coffee! You can not go wrong at this B and B

This apartment was ideal for our 3 night stay, it had all the facilities needed, was very central to the highlights of Taormina and Emanuele was the perfect host. He gave us information about all of the sights, restaurants, how to get around and how long to walk to places etc. breakfast was fab on a sunny terrace overlooking the town.

The position is great, in the centre of town. Emmanuel is a very hospitable host, very generous with his time explaining the significance behind the sights of Taormina. Emmanuel doesn't let you lift a finger to help, one feels like a family guest at Porta del Rey. Emmanuel has great spread for breakfast, even asking what filling you want in your Cornetto on the way to the bakery.

This is a fantastic little B and B and very good value for money. The location is terrific, just outside one of the main gates to the town. Emanuele is a fantastic host. Communication was excellent prior to and during the stay. Emanuele goes out of his way to provide a lot of valuable information about Taormina and the breakfast that he provides on the roof top terrace is excellent. this property receives our highest recommentaion.

The views were even better than we expected and the location is super convenient. The rooftop was a showstopper where as guests we could relax in the evening with drinks and takeaway from Pizza Mania down the street to take in the stunning panoramic views.

Our host Emanuele was perfect and obviously cared about making our stay comfortable. His property was decorated with great art and our room was basic but very clean and comfortable. The balcony included shutters and double-glazing and yet another charming Taormina vista. His friendly breakfast service on the roof with coffee, fresh croissants, fruit, cereal, yoghurts and juice on offer was also a great experience.

The location cannot be any better. We love that it was close to the bus, the gateway to the main pedestrian street, bars and cafes, supermarket, Greek Theatre and very easy to find.

As fit and budget conscience travellers, we have no complaints. We just warn people that they need to be OK with stairs, street noises and a bathroom that is adequate, not luxurious, at this price point in this awesome lively location.

It was a short stay in this B&B however, we had everything we required to make our stay in Taormina complete. We had booked directly with the host and he was very responsive when sending him an email. The place is very centrally located exactly next to Porta Messina, 1 minute away from the main shopping centre of Taormina. The host, Emanuele was very friendly and helpful in any way. He prepared a map of the city marked with the best places to visit and made us feel at home. Breakfast was just right and the room was clean and tidy. The freshly baked croissants and the smell of freshly brewed coffee were the first energy boost for the day. I strongly recommend this B&B and look forward to visit Taormina again.
