Hotel Moderno in Trapani

I recently traveled to Italy and chose to stay at Hotel Moderno during my visit. Overall, my stay at the hotel was satisfactory, with comfortable accommodations and convenient amenities. However, I feel it is important to address one incidents that affected my experience.

When I presented my passport during check in , the receptionist appeared skeptical and went as far as questioning the authenticity of my place of birth, even though it was clearly stated in my passport. This line of questioning seemed to arise from disbelief that someone of my ethnicity could be born in Germany. Notably, my partner, who is white, did not face such scrutiny regarding their place of birth.It is disheartening to encounter instances of racial bias, particularly in a professional environment like a hotel.

I sincerely hope that this incident were isolated and not reflective of the hotel's overall policies or practices. I believe that every organisation can learn from such experiences and take steps to address any instances of racial bias or discrimination.

Despite these unfortunate incidents, I must acknowledge that the hotel room itself was clean and equipped with all the necessary items for a comfortable stay. However, there was significant noise from the street during the night, which affected the quality of my sleep.
