Borgo Poneta in Barberino Val d'Elsa

This place was my favourite the weather was great and the workers were very nice the location was great with a supermarket nearby and lots of restaurants as well with great locations all around. The dogs that were there were very friendly if I had to go I would go again everything was great also Danilo was the one person that really helped us out with finding places and going to places that were lovely I would have already wanted to come back but with Danilo there it makes really want to come back if your looking for a great place to stay it would be here 100 percent

My husband and I loved our stay here!! The property is very well maintained with beautiful landscaping all around. The owners are extremely nice and welcoming. We were given a bottle of wine and some of their olive oil (which are both grown on their farm a few miles down the road, which they were nice enough to give us a private tasting at). The apartments are very well secured with solid wooden doors and locked interior window shutters. The property is enclosed by bushes and a security gate as well, I felt very safe staying here. There is a PAM Supermarket 5 minutes down the road which was very convenient since the apartments have small kitchens, it was nice to have a small home away from home to easily cook small meals - instead of a small, cramped hotel room and having to eat out constantly. It was in a great location, accessible to many great areas. We took day trips to Florence, San Gimignano, Castello di Brolio (Pisa, Sienna, Cinque Terre and many others close by too). We both wish we made this part of our trip longer (we stayed 4 nights). Thank you for a wonderful stay!

We had a delightful stay at this location. The setting was lovely, and we enjoyed every aspect of it. The property also has beautiful horses and friendly dogs, and it’s ideally situated close to various interesting sights and good restaurants.

A special mention goes to our host, Dani, who was exceptionally kind and welcoming—we ended up seeing him as a friend. The location and accommodation are more than enough to make us want to return, but it’s Dani’s friendliness that truly sets this place apart.

Amazing place, friendly hosts and fun pets to hang out with. Apartment just right for 2 people, decorated with original furniture (thank god no ikea stuff) and very clean. Not cheap but worth if you want to visit Chianti area

My husband and I spent a week in this heavenly place where peace and tranquility reigns. Immersed in nature and within walking distance of Siena, San Gimignano and other tourist attractions. The apartments are cared for in detail as well as the whole residence, always kept in perfect order by Danilo all the doing of the estate. The fabulous pool. We will definitely be back

A very well looked after typical Tuscan structure will tall cypress trees lining the entrance. We liked the location of the property, even if a bit isolated as it's in the countryside (our preference) - just a 6 minute drive and you will find a supermarket and some shops, and also many restuarants all over in the surrounding areas. The property is a 25 minute drive to San Gimignano, and perfect for day trips to places like Florence, Siena and Arezzo. We were greeted upon arrival by very friendly staff: Mean and Danilo, and later by the owner who popped in to introduce herself and gave us helpful tips on good eateries and places to visit. There is safe and secure parking on the premises. The property also boasts a stable and about 10 horses or so - very nice, if you love horses. We visited in winter, so the swimming pool was covered and obviously too cold to swim (so no review on that). The 1-bedroom apartment is beautiful, spacious and furnished in typical Tuscan style. Everything was clean and the heating worked very well: nice and toasty! We were allowed to check in earlier and check out later as stipulated (by prior arrangement) as we were the only visitors (low season), and we were very happy that our house-cat was a welcome guest as well. The owner was very kind and friendly, and upon departure gifted us a small bottle of Chianti produced by her husband's winery. We would like to return in another season like Spring or Summer (and hopefully have better weather than the rain we had!). Thank you for the lovely stay!
Only a few small issues, but nothing to make a trip a disaster: every evening when we came back from our day trips, we had to fumble in the pitch dark to get to our apartment, as there were no light at the parking area and no light on the pathway. The wifi was a bit iffy and didn't work very well and, even though there are many electric sockets in the apartment, only a few could fit the standard 2-prong plug (phone charger type); I had to dry my hair in the kitchen as that was the only one in the apartment that fit the hairdryer's plug :-p

A favourite Agriturismo of ours and a great spot to stay for small families when visiting Tuscany. The apartments have everything you need including private terraces, with fully equipped kitchen so you can prepare the wonderful food you've bought travelling around. There is a BBQ available too.
The pool area is of course a central point and its great to meet and share with other families, and grassy areas for the kids to kick a ball or throw a frisbee and the horse stables, equestrian area and paddocks will keep the kids intrigued - just bring a few carrots. The owners have been nothing but wonderful, helpful and accommodating and the whole property is immaculate. We're always travelling to new places when we vacation so we never go back to the same place twice, but we made an exception here.
