Hotel Anfora in Castiglione della Pescaia

This family-run hotel is located in a quiet and convenient location, just steps from the sea and the center of Castiglione. Alessandro and Matteo are very kind, welcoming, and always available. The rooms are clean and the bed is very comfortable. The breakfast is excellent, with delicious homemade cakes. The pool and parking are a plus. We will definitely be back.

An excellent hotel, highly recommended in every way. Conveniently located near the beach and town center, yet very quiet. The pool and shaded garden are a real plus. The attention to cleanliness and customer service are the real highlights of this family-run hotel. The option to choose half-board each day is also excellent. This option consists of a single dish (there are three options), always prepared with great care and using excellent ingredients. It's no coincidence that we always ate dinner at the hotel...

The hotel is located just after the Castiglione bridge. It's quiet, making it a perfect place to relax, yet still a 10-minute walk from the bustling center.
The staff is extremely friendly, even willing to offer tips on the area or make guests feel comfortable. My sister, for example, needed to make some work calls, and they provided a table in the park near the power outlet so she could work.
The park/pool area is truly beautiful and well-maintained, and there's no noise.
The hotel provides free bicycles, which I recommend using in Castiglione given the routes and scenery.

Alessandro and Matteo's friendliness, helpfulness, and hospitality pleasantly surprised us. A quiet hotel in an excellent location, just steps from the center and the sea. Clean rooms and excellent food; we tried dinner at the hotel one evening and continued to do so throughout our stay. Large outdoor area with a swimming pool surrounded by greenery and bicycles available.
Free indoor parking.
What can I say...an excellent experience.

From the moment we arrived, we were made very welcome by all the staff. Rooms, public rooms, garden and pool were kept scrupulously clean. Breakfast was good, ample choices and fresh. Only 5 minute walk to the sea. Located in a quiet street. Would recommended as excellent value for money.

Nice and quite hotel closed to centre.

I arrived without knowing this hotel, a very pleasant surprise, I had not read any reviews, immediately very kind and helpful, room with bathroom, air conditioning I must say that I did not need to turn it on, TV, wifi very rich and abundant breakfast the staff very helpful and friendly, varied cuisine with very good genuine products three minutes from the sea and ample parking from the center. If I return to Castiglione della Pescaia I will certainly be their guest again.

Wonderful holiday spent in this hotel not only for the location near the sea and the medieval village, but above all for the friendliness and family warmth of the managers. The food is excellent; they are real Petfriendly and even my Betty thanks them warmly. 🐾🐾🐾🐾We will be back.

Stayed in July 2021 family 4 people. 2 functional communicating rooms (one with a cadtello bed for children). Bathroom not very large. The rooms could do with a rejuvenation but I understand that it would be a high financial commitment for this family run hotel. Clean rooms well. Really good eating (I have rarely eaten better) with large portions. Quality fruit (not the usual frozen one). Exquisite kindness. Table service to be commended. Hotel exterior would be 4 star. Lunch under the trees in the outdoor garden is a luxury. The large outdoor pool perhaps deserves more attention in cleaning but that surrounded by trees is a lost war. Not far from the beach with fully equipped bathrooms.
In general a beautiful memory and the desire to return is high.
