Agriturismo Le Ginestre in Saturina

Truly beautiful place in classic Tuscan style on a hill with a cypress alley. The access road is dusty for the last 3km. The exterior is very well maintained. We were given a different room than we booked through Booking and if I didn't speak Italian (I complained), we probably wouldn't have made it. After we had already accepted that we would "survive" on the couch for 3 days, the owner came and announced that we would get the room I had booked. From that moment on, our vacation was as it should be. The exterior is truly lovely, the buildings, garden, pool, terrace, flowers. Interior of the structure needs small improvements, but for short stay was ok.
Breakfast was good enough, the choice was sufficient. Dinners are in the form of menu, you have to book in the morning probably (?-nobody tells you/asks you) and was more or less the same both days.
The pool is beautiful and clean, it's crowded on the weekend, if you can choose, come during the week. But we enjoyed it very much.
Thanks to the fact that I speak Italian, the friendliness of the staff was more pleasant. It would be nice to have someone who speaks English and could pay attention to foreign guests.

They don't offer vegetarian options. Weird - Italy has so many vegetables in the summer.
They don't offer lunch here, which is a big pitty, it would be very practical. If you don't go on a trip to the surrounding towns, it's hard to find something for lunch. The closest opened restaurant was in Saturnia (20min by car), but even though on internet they say – they offer pizza, it was not for lunch, but only in the evening and lunch options are reduced. That's why I think that if Relais had offered something (panini, risotto…), it would have been interesting for them financially and guests would really appreciate. If you come with small children, bring your food supplies, but only for mini fridge in the room.

Absolutely beautiful. Beds are like slabs of concrete but totally worth it.

A nice place to stay if you go for termes or sightseeing in Toskana. No special comfort, this is what locals call agriturismo. But it is very nice to spend a night or two in this place when you are not going to stay there all day long (though, some senior people do).

We spent a weekend at the Ginestre, together with 2 other couples of friends, we stayed in the new villa, still under renovation, the rooms and the bathrooms are very large, the air conditioner in our room could not cool, there was no furniture to be able to put down clothes, there were no ceiling lights to the bulbs, all in all the bed was comfortable but the room was very hot. The hotel is located in an enviable hillside position with breathtaking views. The restaurant on the evening of our arrival did not have a great menu, however a good dinner. A nice pool and nice and friendly staff. Overall a nice weekend.
