Nice location ! this vintage hotel does have style. The decoration does remind you the good old bygone days. The room is on the small side but if you happen to have a Seaview room, the view is quite impressive

The pool area could do with an update, but perhaps this is next as our room was freshly decorated with a lovely new bathroom. Excellent breakfast and perhaps the best ever scrambled eggs from a buffet

Great front desk staff who spoke excellent English and were very helpful. Restaurant staff also efficient. Our room was spacious and house keeping always kept room immaculately clean

Staff ok, although following my request for extra pillows&douvet - there were none in the wardrobe like in ALL the hotels I have ever stayed! - a member of staff entered my room while the "do not disturb" sign was on and just THREW the items on my unmade bed, in a very uncerimonious way, it seemed to me, and I found them on my return from my breakfast

The front desk manager is the person you wish to be dealing with at every hotel. The room with a seaview is stunning, enjoy golden sunsets, a spacious clean and practical place to relax

We had a very nice and spacious apartment with a huge terrace and very nice view, beach across the hotel. Have to pay a reduce rate to use the beach, it is not free, Breakfast can be better

Loved everything about this property, location, so many places to eat and be entertained, loved loved the Monday market that covered almost all of the promenade, fabulous experience and staff were top notch!!

A charming modern and high quality hotel with a pool, gym, sauna and hot tub. Great breakfasts with a good buffet, extra items on a menu and highly professional and attentive staff

We got a sea facing room which had stunning views. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Facilities were clean including the indoor pool and SPA. Location was great for restaurants with a variety of dinner options

Great for digital nomads with a good sized bright and airy bar/lounge. Parking is easy (November) via a ticket the hotel submits for you at 10 euros a day there is a garage available at 30 euros a day

This hotel is fantastic if you're going to Viareggio. Awesome beach and pool across the street, all the waterside shops and restaurants steps away. Very helpful staff, solid breakfast buffet

Numerous restaurants, stunning beach and pool club that the hotel can arrange for you a day at a time. Highly, highly recommend if you're looking for an Italian Riviera beach vacation

The location is perfect and could not be improved. You can walk to the train station for a day-trip to Pisa (as we did) or anywhere else

There are no amenities like rooftops, bars, pools etc which TBF they don't claim to have but even the partnership with a beach they have, you can only get the furthest from the sea row for €30

There is no bar in the hotel which is a shame but plenty of bars outside the hotel. Reception sorted out a booking for a beach club for us and when we returned at about 3

We had the super-suite at the top of the hotel, a trio of fabulous rooms, bedroom, dining, sitting. Outside is a huge terrace, not overlooked and a jacuzzi. Seriously, this is my kind of place

We spent two weeks at the Palace Hotel which overall I would recommend to anyone. The hotel location was perfect, just across the road from the beach, and beach club which as a hotel guest allows you access

We had a lovely stay at Palace Hotel a few weeks ago and the staff was absolutely wonderful, so friendly and thoughtful. the hotel is gorgeous and the breakfast was delicious, with plenty of options

The staff were amazing, very friendly and couldn't enough for you. We were half board, which if we went back we wouldn't have again. I would definitely recommend Bed and breakfast, which was excellent

The evening meal was nice, but consisted of a limited choice of five items for each of the three courses. This menu changed every three days, so by the third day you may not find anything you like

My main criticism is the bar and lounge area on the ground floor. It is a lovely area, but is hardly used. The bar is not open until November when the roof terrace closes for drinks

The deckchairs and parasol are free, but you pay 10 euros for each sun lounger per day. Our room was nice, at the side of the hotel with a small balcony which you could sit out on

We’re just a bit disappointed about the beach because when the afternoon arrives, the water has many sea moss and there were some dead jellyfish also. But our experience with this hotel was very great!!!! 🥰🥰🥰

We loved this place! It is directly across the street from the beach and shops. We stayed in #202, huge room, nice staff, great breakfast. I don't get what the negative reviews are about

The rooms are clean, the place is very near(front) of the beach.

The aircondition is functioning very well, just make sure to close the blinds (taparella) and the curtain so the room will get cold faster

We stayed there for 3 nights and 4 days. The housekeeping were great, they always clean the room everytime we go out

The location of this hotel is perfect for exploring Tuscany. The staff are wonderful and Nicole made our family feel special. The pool was perfect for the children

Beds are super comfy and the roll down shutters are the bomb for noise and heat reduction. Excellent service all around. We had dinner at the hotel one night and it excellent!

My room was very clean, modern and well furnished and the hotel bedrooms bathrooms and reception is equipped to a very high standard. I will be booking here again when next in Viareggio in October

Very nice hotel! I liked it a lot! As a solo female traveller I felt very safe as there was always someone at the reception and as it’s directly at the main walk

If you arrive by train: it’s a bit far to walk and the ambiance arround the train station is not very nice, but during the daylight it’s okay

I enjoyed my single room with an amazing view over the ocean and little shops. The staff was very friendly and polite

They had some vegan and many glutenfree options at the breakfast. It would be great if they would add margarine & some vegetables

Very close to beach! Actually, most of the beach is not free in Viareggio but the Hotel Marchionni is just opposite the public beach and you can walk and enjoy the sun and swim by the sandy beach

It was a really nice hotel with art nouveau style interior design and the unique elevator that I have never seen before. Service and all the hotel workers are very polite and helpful

Teresa and her family were so kind and helpful, nothing was too much trouble, Teresa recommended good restaurants for our dinner and sent as to a lovely beach called Timovo

The location was excellent, very central , there was a tourist information centre across the road and a bus stop, there were lots of lovely bars and restaurants in the vicinity

Our bathroom was well equipped with a forceful shower and a good selection of towels. Our continental breakfast was delicious & abundant

This hotel has very good location, because it is near the beach and sea. It is only a few steps. Room was big and clean. Breakfast was good. You can park your car near the hotel on the big free parking place.

There is free parking on the street but it's first come first serve and there are at least 3 more hotels on the road. Their parking is on the side of the hotel in the ally and fits 5 or 6 cars

It is very close to the boardwalk but the"view" from the rooms isn't worth paying extra for. The rooms are super clean, it has memory foam beds, and a great breakfast with a large variety

First line to the beach, great sea view and main street view. Room quite small, 18 sqm. Very clean, very nice staff

Hotel lobby and restaurant looks nice and clean and has a boutique feel to it. Room we were in was smaller, but with a beautiful view of the sea. Also, the room would definitely need an update to match the hotel

Great location near to beach, shopping and restaurants. Can be a little loud if you have a room facing or near main street. Parking is available for 5 euro a day for your stay. Rooms are ok. Friendly staff. Good value.

Parking area is public and subject to availability and payment, but Viareggio train station is 0. 6 mi away, and Pisa can be reached in about 30 minutes by car

Very good location for the beach

hotel not very close to the station but can be reached in 10 minutes, I think there is also a car park but I didn't use it, small room and bathroom too but clean, bed a little small, very friendly and helpful staff, quiet area 15 minutes from the seafront

Very simple hotel. A little noisy. Bed small enough for two people. Nice staff. Not very well located but not far from the beach all the same 15-20' Pleasant for one night.

Rather high room prices but at least we managed to book in high season. In conclusion we found ourselves well 👍

The hotel was lovely, the room clean and cool and reception friendly. We had to pay extra for parking in the hotels garage when we got there which wasn’t clear when we booked

Bikes to lend are free, but most of them more or less broken :) Wifi also free and running well. Free private parking however is a real pro in the area. And sea view from the balconies that have it really great

Quite good for a 3 star hotel. Newly refurbished, room size is decent, breakfast better than expected (although not amazing) Use of bikes too

The only major problem is the balcony door - if you're on the balcony and the door closes, there's no way to open it so you're stuck there until you call the front desk to set you free

First day with 2 kids but the hotel and our room is very nice, clean and comfortable. rooms seems well renovated and really clean. and the best thing is it so near to the beach

They speak italian, french and english! if available, ask for a room with a balcony, it totally makes the difference. Breakfast was mainly pastries, fruits and eggs n bacon

We had a room in the 3rd floor. From there you have a pleasant view to the sea.

Luca, the owner, is incredibly kind and helpful, and the mascot, Pepito the parrot, makes everything absolutely unique and fun. I highly recommend this hotel

Ideal location for a trip to Viareggio. Probably a 15 min walk from train station, but less than 5 minutes from the beach. Staff spoke pretty good English, which was great. Bedrooms were clean and decent size

Breakfast was really good and set us up for the day. Nice areas to sit inside and outside for a drink in the evening. Apparently they also do lunch and dinner but we didn't have any so can't say anything about that

Beautiful beachfront hotel with easy walking distance from the train station.

We liked the breakfast, there was so much variety! And I have to mention the extraordinary Breakfast-staff & the Ladies at the reception (one tall blond one in the mornings/daytime and one with dark hair in the evenings)

July 2025 We stayed 15 days at this hotel, located in a quiet area just 5 minutes from the beach. Friendly staff, clean room, excellent and varied food. We had a wonderful holiday in a family atmosphere

I would recommend adding more fresh fruit to both breakfast and lunch, as this is a season with so much variety. We didn't use it, but I would consider adding more attention to the existing gym/sauna/bikes

Hotel in a quiet area, a 5-minute walk from the beach. Dated furnishings, bathroom with a shower over the tub without curtains or a cubicle. The bed was uncomfortable and very hard

Lovely place with nice rooms. Easy check in and check out, also very forthcoming as we got stuck in Florence due to wildfires. We would love to come again soon. We missed the eggs at breakfast 😊. Grazie Laura 😊
