The city itself is a main beach attraction for mostly Italians to summer as the beach is HUGE and the "Prince" is setup to rule the beach. Old school elegance with a TOP staff

During dinner, there was a live music concert, mainly jazz, my favorite genre, so I was more than happy to listen to my favorite melodies, surrounded by people joyfully dancing and smiling

Prince is not a worthy enough title! Visiting a friend was enhanced by this jewel on the beach ( across the street from their beach club) and it really made our trip to Viareggio

The staff were exceptional attentive and made our stay even more special. The rooms are spacious with fabulous service. The breakfast is a highlight not only with wonderful service but exceptional food and variety

The 2 Michelin star restaurant certainly lives up to its stars withe both the service and wonderful food being a taste sensation. Excellent location close to the Cinque Terra and Pisa

Staff ok, although following my request for extra pillows&douvet - there were none in the wardrobe like in ALL the hotels I have ever stayed! - a member of staff entered my room while the "do not disturb" sign was on and just THREW the items on my unmade bed, in a very uncerimonious way, it seemed to me, and I found them on my return from my breakfast

The correct way I would have expected from such a 4☆ hotel, would have been to place them tidely on the table, perhaps, or the chair or the wardrobe!? Not just chucked on the unmade bed! Seemed to me a rather SHODDY way of doing things! Breakfast: totally marvellous! Bar, not used

The pool area could do with an update, but perhaps this is next as our room was freshly decorated with a lovely new bathroom. Excellent breakfast and perhaps the best ever scrambled eggs from a buffet

Dinner was fine, but not nearly as good as breakfast. Lovely pre dinner drinks in the cocktail bar with a nice selection of canapés. If you enjoy old world style, you will enjoy staying here

com didn't transmit our booking – the hotel was fully booked! Countless phone calls later, a solution was immediately sought and found – perfect! The food in the restaurant was excellent – ​​expensive – but absolutely worth the quality! We'll definitely be back

I have stayed at a lot of beautiful hotels over the years, and the staff has been great. However, almost all the staff I encountered had gone above and beyond to help make our stay incredible

The hotel is beautiful – modern but not impersonal – the staff is very friendly and tries to make things right when something goes wrong

If you are in the area, this is a good choice. The breakfast is good and the place is bright. There are only a few rooms, but this is common in Europe. It is close to the beach and several good restaurants.

Be careful with rooms located opposite the elevators. There's a service entrance nearby, so it can be quite noisy.

This hotel is fantastic if you're going to Viareggio. Awesome beach and pool across the street, all the waterside shops and restaurants steps away. Very helpful staff, solid breakfast buffet

Numerous restaurants, stunning beach and pool club that the hotel can arrange for you a day at a time. Highly, highly recommend if you're looking for an Italian Riviera beach vacation

When we got to our room which was very clean and comfortable it obviously hadn’t been checked as for the 2 of us there was only one bath towel and one pair of slippers. We told reception and this was sorted

There is no bar in the hotel which is a shame but plenty of bars outside the hotel. Reception sorted out a booking for a beach club for us and when we returned at about 3

30 we noticed that there was a room service tray outside the room opposite ours, it was still there when we went out for dinner in the evening and yes you guessed it was still there later that night when we returned

Just behind the hotel are bus stops with frequent (and cheap) buses running the Viareggio to the east and Pietransanta to the west. We had a lovely family holiday there for the week and would highly recommend

Beds are super comfy and the roll down shutters are the bomb for noise and heat reduction. Excellent service all around. We had dinner at the hotel one night and it excellent!

The location of this hotel is perfect for exploring Tuscany. The staff are wonderful and Nicole made our family feel special. The pool was perfect for the children

We had a really nice stay and wished we’d booked for a day or two longer. Breakfast buffet and a la carte options were super. Could only wish for perhaps more prompt service on the coffee front

The hotel is a lovely boutique hotel. Our room was large with two big closets and a nice bathroom. We had two balcony's with partial sea view. I highly recommend this hotel

Even on mornings when we arrived early it seemed a bit of a struggle. We also loved the lobby bar in the evening for a night cap and a card game

Very convenient location, close to the beach, restaurants and stores. The room was very small with a huge closet though. The bathroom was very tight but it served its purpose

Great location near to beach, shopping and restaurants. Can be a little loud if you have a room facing or near main street. Parking is available for 5 euro a day for your stay. Rooms are ok. Friendly staff. Good value.

Bikes to lend are free, but most of them more or less broken :) Wifi also free and running well. Free private parking however is a real pro in the area. And sea view from the balconies that have it really great

Beautiful hotel large, comfortable and clean rooms. A few steps from the sea and the beautiful promenade. The best, however, is the sympathy of the owners of the hotel. I recommend it to everybody

Davide and the rest of the staff at Stella del Mare are very kind, welcoming and helpful. The breakfast is a very simple Italian-style selection, but the lunch was outstanding, and for a great price

It is true that it is dated and the bathrooms are very small, but it is functional! Air conditioning, wi fi, TV, promenade at 30 MT and the sea at 50 MT. the owners very kind, and very helpful

The rooms are indeed rather small and outdated, and the mattresses could be replaced, but considering it is a budget hotel 2 steps from the sea, the value is great

Unfortunately, I have personally noticed one thing that I see as a flaw; through a door (entirely sealed and without lock), you can hear the neighboring room all too well, unfortunately interrupting a minimum of privacy with your roommates

I’ve been travelling for three months and this is probably the best place I’ve stayed in. Room is updated and renovated. Fantastic view of the beach and sea. Great restaurants right out the front door of the hotel

The room's furnishings are a little dated, but functional, there is a telephone and a TV, the minibar was empty, but given the season these things are not essential

I would have preferred the coffee made at the bar and not the one from the machine that dispensed cappuccinos and hot chocolate. The price of the room was very good. However satisfied and would happily return!

We spent one night on the west coast during our trip around Italy in late October -it was so quiet and peaceful! Didn't have anything booked, Lungomare was the first place we found on a map as we were searching for a place to stay for the night - we couldn't have asked for a better one
