Hotel Nuovo Tirreno in Lido Di Camaiore

Avoid this hotel at all costs!
What an absolute nightmare dealing with the owner of this hotel. In all my years coming to Italy, I have never experienced anything like this hotel and this level of customer service. The room was 25 C and she insisted that it was working, whilst sweating with our two daughter who are the age of 6 & 8. We did not stay at this hotel. We disputed the charge as she refused to refund us until she had another occupant for the room. Do yourself a favor and stay at other hotels! The Tirreno hotel in Massa was gorgeous and had incredible rooms and service.

If I could leave 0 stars, I would. Just because you’re close to the beach doesn’t mean it’s worth it. We reserved the room in advance but didnt need to pay until check-in. Honestly when I walked into the hotel I did not get good vibes. It looked nothing like the photos. As we are checking in she tells us they don’t accept Amex. I’m asking her if we need to pay now or later and what is she charging on my debit card (i.e. incidentals etc.)and she proceeds to charge my card without even answering any of my questions. She knew what she was doing! We get our room, and what can I say to even depict how terrible this room was. It was muggy, hot, small and nothing was even close to what the pictures looked like through Expedia. The bed sheets looked dirty, the bathroom small and below average. And to think this is for 2 adults and 2 children. It was the most underwhelming room I had ever seen in my 44 years. The wall AC unit was not working so we asked her to come up. She tried to fix it and convince us that it’s starting to work. Mind you, it’s July and we are sweating profusely. After 1 hour, the AC still doesn’t work. We told her we are going to decline our stay and get a refund from Expedia. We contacted Expedia and they asked her to refund our charge and she refused until she booked another occupancy for that room. She was rude and lacked any sort of customer service.
We have since disputed the charge with our credit card company. Do yourself a favor and don’t stay here just because you can walk down to the beach. Not worth any sort of rate they offer you.

I went there as a tour guide with 43 people.The worst hotel I've ever seen. Lady at the night shift sending my people to a restaurant they tried to cheat my customers. Rooms are dirty, breakfast is just peace of croissant and cold coffee. I hope as soon as possible that hotel rescued from you guys. I love the location i stayed there many times, I'll be back but I've never ever come and stay in your hotel. Thanks for pissing my tour off! (!)

Pros:
- very close to the ocean
- nice bars and food spots in the area

Cons:
- very old and dirty (room phone doesn’t work, AC only works at times, dirty mattresses and bed linen, overall bad hygiene)
- MOLD on bedroom and bathroom walls (will make you sick)
- food was eatable and that only

Overall we spend more time outside of the hotel than inside because of reasons that were listed. This might be a 3 star hotel but it does not justify the filthiness.

The hotel is very dirty. The blankets do not have a cover and all guests are covered with the same dirty blanket that has hair and stains from the previous guest.

Despite the winter, the heating only worked for an hour.

The bathroom was swimming in water and there was no shelf to put essentials, not even a glass for a toothbrush.

We were hungry at breakfast. The salami and cheese were cut so thin that you could see through them. There was a lack of bread, and the coffee could not be called coffee.

The girls serving breakfast ignored the lack of food and were rude and angry, throwing trays in front of a group of 56 people.

I do not recommend this hotel, I have never been to a worse one.

STATE ALLA LARGA! Le foto del sito non sono veritiere e davvero servitebbe una vella denuncia! Pagato 430 euro solo pernottamanto di due notti, camera minuscola, vetro della doccia inesistente con conseguente allagamanto del bagno. Fatto presente ovviamente alla responsabile, che aveva dimenticato di dirlo quando ha ci ha consigliato di scegliere la camera in queatione in quanto " con il bagno più carino". Per fortuna. IL Condizionatore perdeva acqua, e ci siamo ritrovati con le scarpe bagnate. Un solo asciugamano presente. Richiesto un secondo kit bagno, visto che eravamo in due e che uno era stato usato per asciugare il bagno allagato... La risposta è stata "STAI SERENA TE LO POETO SUBITO". Mai arrivato. Lo Richiedo per l'ennesima volta, e la risposta è stata " Ma non puoi aspettare domani mattina, adesso non ce l'ho". Senza parole. Zero professionalità, zero cura per il cliente. Rapporto Qualità prezzo assolutamente inadefuato,al limite della truffa. Ah, dimenticavo, il letto è minuscolo, credo sia da una piazza e mezzo e non c'è il Coprimaterasso. Naturalmente non ci ritorneremo e ce ne saremmo andati volentieri se non avessimo già saldato all'arrivo.
