Location is good as is just a few minutes walk across the bridge . You can ask for “porter” service to bring your heavy luggages across the bridge :)
The hotel is very close to the station, and I slept very comfortably. The front desk staff were all very welcoming.
Environment: Very clean. The moment I entered the hotel, I felt the comfort typical of Marriott hotels. A very good stay.
The room wasn't very big, but it had everything you needed, including a safe. I stayed on the main island of Venice, and this hotel was very close to the Venice train station—just a short walk from there. The facilities were clean, and the receptionists and staff were very friendly. The location was excellent, very close to train and ferry services.
Pleasant, nice, and clean hotel. Easy to get to, and the service is excellent. The rooms are comfortable and well-appointed. I would stay again.
The hotel service is very good, the only drawback is that there are a lot of small insects flying around in the room.
In addition, because the hotel and the train station are on different islands, you have to walk across a bridge that has only stairs but no elevator. Many locals will rush to help you carry your luggage across the bridge, and some even force you to do so. After crossing the bridge,...
The room is bigger than the picture shows. You can open a 26-inch and 20-inch suitcase. There are few breakfast options but the fried eggs are delicious. The hotel is conveniently located. Overall, it is very good.

We had a 2 night stay here and it was perfect. The room was big as there were 3 of us. It also had wheelchair user facilities and front of house Mustafa was the best host ever. Very friendly, knowledgeable and an all round lovely caring man. Thank you for making our stay even better
I contacted the hotel the night before arriving for transportation from airport and Mustafa at the front desk was great to give us directions :) We had an issue with the lock and the key broke One guy at the front desk was annoyed by it however someone else assisted with replacing key the fallowing morning Not ideal room next to dining area where breakfast is served every morning and you can hear...

The breakfast was excellent and very friendly service! Rooms were clean, very friendly staff, location excellent!
We liked the traditional Venetian style of this hotel. The staff were exceptional in the way they treated & informed us of local transport & dinning options.
We loved the central location.
Perfect! Our first visit to Venice and the perfect boutique hotel! Absolutely charming and the staff were over and beyond, even recommending local restaurants. Great breakfast and location! Would recommend to everyone!

If you want to have a good night of sleep, don't book this place. Before 7 am, you will start hearing all the existing noises. It's impossible to sleep with all the conversations, closing windows, cleaning noises, and sounds from people loading and unloading goods from the restaurants nearby.
The room has a beautiful, exotic feel. It's located right in the city center, and the water bus to the airport, as well as water buses for getting around the city, are directly across the street – very convenient. The breakfast restaurant is also lovely.
It was good except they put us on 4th floor. No elevator
This hotel is obviously Old however it is comfortable. I can’t compare it to any of the other hotels there as I haven’t stayed at the others but I will say it has no lift and I was a little concerned how we would get out in the fire. The hallways are long and go round and round like a rabbits Warren.
My overall stay was pleasant and the best thing about it was the awesome breakfast. If you do decide...
Great little hotel! Nice breakfast. Easy to explore Venice from here.
Wanderfull location, definitely one of the best in Venice! For the rest it's a pretty old hotel (like all these kind of hotels in Venice), but pretty clean. Breakfast also was very good. Overall recommended.

Room- Stayed top floor #305, I believe it was. Perfect to accommodate the 4 of us. Cute older Italian theme room. Beds were comfortable enough. Shower wasn't as clean and drainage was poor. The windows can open but too hot to stay open. The AC was terrible, we were miserable and so hot, couldn't sleep. Luckily we were there for only 2 days. Some how mosquitoes got into our room. Our body was bitten...
It is expensive, but seems like everything in Venice is very expensive. Location was great, in the heart of the city.
Room was a decent size, and in good condition for and old hotel. Only issue was not very clean bathroom. There were hair in the shower.
Breakfast was ok, but coffee was very good.
Staff was friendly and helpful.
Thank you!
This place has a really nice workers. Friendly and helpfull. Hotel doesn’t have elevator to the last floors, meaning you would have to take your luggage by the stairs. Room is dusty because of the tapestry on the walls. Also unfortunetly room was full of mosquitoes. Hotel offers free breakfast, you can get orange juice, make some sandwitches, have yogurt, coffee, small toasts with jams, cereals with...
Ideal location. My room was a little dark, but it was in a traditional Venetian style. Simple breakfast. Friendly helpful staff. They all speak English quite well. It was quiet in my room, absolutely no external noises
A very traditional hotel in a spectacular location, just a short walk from San Marco square. We were lucky to get the room 210, were everything was done in Venetian style, but new and immaculate. We particularly appreciated the newly decorated fabric walls, the gold framed mirrors and paintings. Breakfast was not great, it would be nice to add some fresh fruit and eggs.
Located steps away from St Mark's Square, this vintage hotel offers clean rooms and clean bedding. Reception staff are friendly and helpful. However, breakfast quality is lacking, and kitchen staff seem nervous, especially when ordering extra coffee. Overall, a decent option for its charm, location and price but don't expect a stellar breakfast experience.

Stayed at the Locanda al Leon for three nights at the end of March 2026. The location of the hotel could not be more ideally located. Literally a 3 minute walk to St Marks Basillica / Doge’s Palace. The hotel is closely located to bars / coffee shops / restaurants as well. The rooms are traditionally decorated and quite basic, but lovely and clean (with comfortable bed!) Breakfast was basic continental...
Excellent location, all major attractions are around the corner. Very friendly staff. Clean and uniquely decorated room. The only downside is that the front desk isn’t 24/7 so when we checked in, there’s no help with the luggage for the 3 stories stairs.
What a fabulous little gem of a hotel. Great location just a stones throw from San Marco and five min from rialto. The most comfortable bed! Friendly staff too!
Convenient location. Friendly staff. Really helped us all the way. Would recommend people to book near the train station instead - we spent 30 euros shelving our luggage there. Host was GREAT here though!

Spotless amazing room, amazing staff, loved the location and my specific room was a great location as well. Breakfast in the mornings was great!
I highly recommend Hotel Acca. A warm welcome on arrival, the room was quiet and convenient to all tourist spots and restaurants. Breakfast was a great way
GREAT location to explore the city… a bit of a walk to station (especially with luggage), but well worth it.
If you get a chance to book it, I’d recommend jumping on it
Beautiful place in the middle of Venice.. all updated.. wonderful new updated rooms beautiful bathroom and great breakfast.. highly recommend.
What an amazing stay for our first trip to Europe. The staff are all so nice and helpful. I was concerned about the language barrier but all the staff spoke fluent English which was a great relief. tiny and comfortable, i would wish this hotel offer slippers
Clean room, friendly staff, proximity to the Basilica good restaurants and shopping centers. Came back twice. 💛
A great experience in Venice, very centrally located hotel.
Hotel Dell’Opera is absolutely remarkable in the beauty, the service, and the location. Our room had a private balcony, overlooking a small canal. We enjoyed watching the gondola’s go by and walking to great coffee in the morning. Still fancy a drink after the restaurants are closed? Ask the front desk about the Honor Bar on the top of the hotel!
Probably one of the cutest hotels I’ve ever stayed in! The room was beautiful and so spacious and had everything you need. The front desk staff were SO friendly and helpful. And the location was close to everything! Highly recommend.
I booked a family room, so it had a balcony! A balcony facing the canal! You could see boats passing by, a nice experience. The room had a retro feel, and the front desk staff were great. As for breakfast, the selection was too small. If breakfast is rated 5 out of 5, it's probably only worth 1.5.

Fantastic location, very clean room, people are very friendly and smiley. Everything is easily reachable by walking such as Restaurants, branded shop’s, every single house is different and full of history. Gondola ride is in just 50 meter from Hotel and San Marco square is in 100 mtr.
Breakfast is not so worthy.
I would love to come again in this place.
Old-fashioned hotel, spacious room, antique furnishings. Steep stairs, but overall, considering the location and price, it seems like a great compromise.
There’s a small fridge in the room.
The hotel was nice and clean; in the room, there was a mini fridge and an AC, which was handy. The bathroom was spacious and there was toiletries. The only negative thing about the room was the bed; the mattres was too flat and the bed base made a lot of noise every time you turned around/lay on the bed.
Breakfast is served at the hotel; it's simple but abundant. The hotel clerks were always super...
The hotel has a great location, just a two-minute walk from the water bus stop. The room is a decent size, but it's older and more run-down than it appears in the photos. There's only a thin sheet on the bed; if you feel cold, you can take a blanket (a bit dirty) from the closet and put it on top of the sheet. Breakfast includes bread, yogurt, croissants, juice, and coffee. The staff are friendly....
Do not be fooled by pictures. The room we had was outdated to put it very mildly.
Soundproofing was zero. It felt like someone was peeing right on your forehead...
Do NOT book unless you are planning to get drunk beyond ALL your senses.

This was a last minute booking for a spur of the moment trip to Venice from Piran. The location couldnt be more perfect as it was just 5 minutes from Doge Palace. The furnishings was a little outdated but it was completely fine for a 1 night stay.
The location was perfect, cleanliness was top, breakfast was plentiful, hotel in general was showing its age, service at breakfast was very unfriendly.
The hotel left only warm memories! I will definitely recommend it and will use it again myself if the opportunity arises! A very warm, family atmosphere. We had the balcony room & the view was lovely. The beds were very comfortable (even the lounge bed for the 3rd person was quite comfortable). The included breakfast was a nice bonus. Especially for the price, we were quite pleased.
We spent 4 days in Hotel San Moise. We were satisfied. Breakfast, location, equipment all was ok. Well, one refridgerator wasn't working (we had two so no problem) and air con didn't cool (we visited last week im October so not so important)..
Love love it highly recommended
I really loved my stay here. Staying here felt like I was in a movie. It’s not everyday you get to stay in a 17th century Villa. I was lucky enough to stay in a room with a balcony and it was magical.

The hotel was good value for money. Everything was there, including functional air conditioning, clean linens, and fresh towels. Check-in and check-out were at the Panda Hotel across the street. Breakfast was simple: rolls, croissants, yellow cheese, ham, salami, jam, chocolate spread, milk and muesli, coffee, tea, juice, and water. This hotel is for the undemanding, and for the price, you can't complain
The hotel is well located, close to several restaurants and bars. It was an incredible experience.
Because it was on the top floor, the room was extremely hot. There was an air conditioner, but it hardly worked. However, it was good that there was a balcony.

A good hotel in a residential part of Venice, few tourists, but the hotel itself is very tired, does not live up to its stars, for one night in the summer it's ok

Upon arriving Venice, per Google advice I took water bus from S Lucia train station to Rialto, then walked for 10 min to the hotel. Upon leaving as the staff told me I took water bus at San Marco (Vallaresso) SX station to train station, the boat journey was longer but the walking was easier.

Excellent location, room was wonderful for 3 people. Would definitely stay there again
We loved this hotel. Such a beautiful room (#25) and fantastic location. Breakfast was included and exceeded expectations. The staff was wonderful. Highly recommended.
Our room was very large and well-appointed and very clean. The hotel is steps away from one of the larger canals so getting there was easy. Our family of four enjoyed our stay at this property. It is in a traditional building (with renovated and modern bathroom of course) in the middle of a popular square. I thought noise might be a problem at night given its central location, but that’s not at all the case, we had the most peaceful and restful sleep. Highly recommended.

Ca’ Bragadin Carabba is a great value option in Venice. The room was incredibly large by Venice standards — and even by European standards — and the bathroom was also very spacious, which is a rare find in the city.
