Where to stay with kids in Italy

We stayed for a week in October in a two bedroom family room which was perfect for our stay with two young children

We loved the heated family pool which was a nice temperature and the kids splash park was great for our toddler! Be aware the big slides are for ages 5-10

The beach was a short walk through the forest with playground and hammocks on the way. The sunsets were incredible and so nice to enjoy a cocktail at the beach bar all inclusive

We had our wonderful October Holiday in Tui magic Calabria. Really best food, thank you restaurant staff. Great selection of different types of dishes: a lot of fish we have tasted during our stay, amazing pasta & pizza

The entire Calabria TUI Team, including the animation crew, work tirelessly to ensure guests have the best possible experience

We thought the food was delicious at the main restaurant and the other restaurants and our daughter loved sitting at the kids table and buffet area which made it a lot more relaxed for us! We enjoyed a morning excursion to pizzo organised by the hotel

Fabulous holiday at this hotel Amazing location with spectacular views. Clean, basic room cleaned daily. Wonderful pools. Food was fine and value for money. We would definitely recommend this hotel.

Snacks avaliable in the lobby all day (cakes, crisp etc) Ice cream avaliable all day and ice lollys when the pool area was open. Food - overall it wasnt great, pizza and chips were avaliable every lunchtime

Hotel was is a great location, lots of parking avaliable. Rooms were dated but it was clean. Pools were good, never any issues getting a sun lounger, life guards at pools and lake

They were quite strict with no jumping into the pool allowed. Lots of sun loungers at the lake. Drinks although only a small selection of spirits were all self service

Fabulous stay very welcoming and great good and facilities .

We got a free upgrade to the villas on the beach ( there is 8 of these) which was a lovely surprise, as it was my daughters/son in laws 30 th birthdays and this also gave us access to the vip restaurant for breakfast (which costs €30 each ) We found that the staff were Friendly BUT couldn’t speak basic English so trying to ask questions were very difficult and frustrating

Superb daily breakfast followed by a trip to the very impressive spa for an hour or two of relaxation rounded off with a swim in the incredible pool (Olympic swimmers would be impressed at the length of it !) A special thank you to all the reception staff - Roberto, Leonardo, Francesco & Liliana

You were all very professional dealing with all our questions and queries. @ Liliana, you handled our small dental emergency extremely well, many thanks! In conclusion, we are already looking forward to our next visit

The buffet style breakfast with freshly squeezed juices to order and eggs as you want is such a treat for the start of the day, with a selection of every style of breakfast choice available

My wife and I stayed here for a total of 10 nights in October 25 (our stay was so amazing that we extended our initial 6 day stay for another 4 days)

What can I say, everything was absolutely fantastic from the location right on the beautiful beach to the opulent rooms and facilities

Larissa, Adrian, Sante were friendly and funny ( sorry don’t remember all the names ) but all staff at reception was great too. If you need nice relaxing time, I do recommend this hotel Mrs and Mr Pike Grazie Mille !

The resort is very close to the sea, about a 3-4 minute walk away. Unfortunately, the food leaves a bit to be desired in terms of quality and staff efficiency (perhaps because it's understaffed for the busy season)

The location is lovely, has great potential, and could be top-notch with some updates to the various accommodations, such as the wooden villas, which are very cute but in need of renovation due to their age

She's chosen excellent people who are meticulous in ensuring a top-notch holiday full of fun for the little ones with the mini club, where Elena and her group ensure maximum enjoyment for the kids

Angelo and all the other staff (Davide, Edoardo, etc. ) are super efficient in organizing games and events for young and old, leaving nothing to chance

We'll definitely be back because the best thing they offer is the entertainment provided by the SAMARCANDA staff, managed by Federica

We stayed at the resort the first two weeks of August

We went as a family of 4 and got 2 rooms. The breakfast was really good and the staff were very friendly and welcoming.we would definitely come back.

The hotel is absolutely fabulous. Right on the beach but it also has a beautiful swimming pool. The room is refreshed every day

The pool isn't regulated and a few days has been marred by ball throwing, shouting, kids left unattended (were talking toddlers!!) Luckily a few of the dads stepped in to sort that out but it's not their responsibility

Very well positioned hotel,on the beach,very clean,good drinks ,good breakfast but the lunch is not an option,very poor quality for the money!You have to pay for the sunbeds at the pool.

Our last day has been negative due to one of the elderly reception staff. I had been asking for late check out all week. She just told me no without checking, very rude and unhelpful. Im here with a child until 17

30 and have been told to use the communal shower where there is no air con by the pool! She also charged us to use the towels despite them being included in our stay

walk thru underpass to promenade and lake where there lakeside beaches to swim off which we so enjoyed doing so. We liked to go for a walk along in evening also very clean did not see litter on ground

Pools/Grounds - The hotel does not have any real grounds to speak off, and the pool was smallish and cleaned daily. As it was not huge the water warmed up nicely by the early afternoon

We enjoyed our week in hotel amazing views from our room on 6 th floor and pool area and terrace of restaurant. All staff were friendly efficient and very helpful. good location looking over lake and mountains

Our room was a good size clean with good air conditioning as very hot outside kept us cool. Bus stop right opposite to Malcesine which is beautiful. We enjoyed swimming in pool cleaned regularly

Pool towels can be obtained from reception subject to a 10€ deposit, which is returned when you leave. Beach - The hotel has a tunnel under the main road which leads to the lake Garda shoreline

Location - Small hotel with just over 200 beds. On the northern shore of lake Garda. The transfer from Verona took almost 2 hours fue to numerous drop off points so my first tip is book a private transfer to the hotel

Flawless experience as always - great food for both lunch and dinner, very friendly service at the restaurant and at the hotel in general, and great facilities: the large pool and the optimally positioned beach umbrellas make for a very relaxing vacation spot

A wonderful place with great, tasty food, clean and comfortable rooms, and a big pool. The friendly and caring staff create a positive atmosphere that make you feel like you are the only one.

I came during rainy days but will definitely come back with my family in the summer as the beach is close by and very tempting. Food is outstanding and every night they have a new menu with a great atmosphere

Elegant hotel with romantic ambience situated in a beautiful pine tree park. Great food with modern touch, comfortable rooms, wonderful swimming pool area, green and quiet. Friendly and helpful hotel staff

Very friendly receptionist, beautiful surroundings with swimming pool. A really good place to relax in the off-season.

In addition, there are a few little repairs that are required too (swimming pool toilet door lock is totally broken) However, these things didnt affect out total enjoyment and hopefully, we will make it six years in a row in 2025!!

What a great family owned hotel. Beach is immaculate with silky sand. Rooms are small but spotless. Most rooms in Italian hotels are small though. Staff in the restaurant are so hard working and so efficient

The personal touches offered by all the staff makes any stay at the Aurelia very special and Mrs Batani and her staff are brilliant Hoteliers. The beach is spotless and it’s a very accommodating experience all round

Rooms Ok, but would need an upgrade, staff helpfull, breakfast nothing extra. Good 3 star hotel close to beach.

We came here for dinner expecting a decent amount of food options, especially since this restaurant is attached to a hotel. A sign at the entrance advised that after 07 September no Pizza is available

Great location, great service, excellent rooms, loved the whole experience and would definitely recommend it to anyone!

With no other options in the area we had a rather pricey meal and mediocre service

On the downside, the pool was a bit small, and for dinner (if you book half-board), drinks are not included and must be paid separately. Also, there weren’t many activities for kids

It has great pool and even kids pool with jacuzi and everything. Highlight was evening programs and minidisco. Food was excellent both breakfast and dinner. Staff is supporting and man at restaurant service was very kind

For dinner there are mostly seasfoods (delicious!). At the pool bar they kinda ignore you - so we left without food or drinks several times

You receive reserved table and reserved shack at beach for all your stay so you need not to worry about finding place anywhere. On negative side, i found rooms are bit smaller. Also there is no view as such

Really nice place, stayed 5 days with a 1 year old. Very kid friendly! Close to the beach - you have your own beds at the beach, dont have to fight for it. Rooms are clean and true to pictures

Hotel is at excellent location, just 2 mins walk to beach and near to many restaurants and supermarket. It has underground parking but its sometime hard to search parking if hotel is full

Very lovely spot, away from the center and beach hotel strip/umbrella land. Excellent staff, great breakfast. Never used the pool or spa, but I'm sure they are nice too

It was a nice stay, but the room was small, and I had to walk through a dark hallway inside the building to get there. I believe they should keep the lights on in those areas at all times. Good breakfast.

Spent the morning supervising our high school students at the school assembly. Clean bathroom facilities, has elevator and cloak room too. Unfortunately no food or drinks are available on the site

It's a wonderfull hotel, I've been there for some meeting and everything was more than perfect.

I had a really nice stay here. The spa is great and the ocean is right outside. Loved it!

We spent 8 wonderful nights at BahiaVerde in one of the Gold Apartments, and it was an excellent stay for our family of four (children aged 5 and 7)

The place is very comfortable and conveniently located close to the beach, ideal for a family getaway. But the real highlight of our stay was the amazing team at the Kids Club

The swimming pool was clean and enjoyable, and the beach was very good—spacious and complemented by a refreshing marine breeze

We also appreciated the numerous areas designated for selective garbage disposal, which were kept very clean and regularly emptied—this really added to the sense of care and organization throughout the site

It was absolutely amazing I just have 2 thing the rooms where a bit small and the Wi-Fi didn't work and the food got a bit ropetative and there was a lot of fish and as a family we don't eat much fish but the pool was so pretty and you could spend hours in there and the water in the sea is so clear and there's a lot to do in the resort we went for my aunt's wedding and they made it the best they could...

However the location is somewhat remote and the season doesn't start until June for adequate bus service so you really need a car to get about

Showers were extremely powerful, great water pressure. Pool is very nice and hotel in general is lovely. Was very quiet when we went, never saw more than 3 or 4 groups of people around the main pool at any one time

Lovely setting and great pool and bar area. Ideally situated next to the beach. What let's the resort down is the poor breakfast and attitude of some of the staff. Seem reluctant to replenish food and juices

Rooms were nice, although our Aircon didn't work, was told system was changing over from 23rd May but nothing changed, it was blowing out air which I'm fairly confident was hotter than the outside temp, was always colder outside the room than inside

We only stayed 4 days so was cheaper for us to hire a car for £100 than pay £130 each way for travel. Plus we then had the freedom to go wherever we wanted. The hotel has a nice car park that's free to use

We received the most heartwarming hand-written thank you note from the entire hotel staff. Such gestures make you realize what true hospitality looks like, and we couldn't be more grateful for their kind words

This hotel really exceeded my expectations, thank you again to the whole team ! The Room: we had a double bedroom with a small garden, it was excellent

And it's this small charming bay where children feel good and parents don't have to worry because it's not a huge long beach. Perfect holiday, looking forward to coming back !

Also, the rumor is true, Italians love children. I was actually looking forward to seeing the team for every meal

The food was excellent, prepared according to italian traditions (as far as I know ;-) and most of all: prepared with love and passion. That's something I can feel when I eat

The beds are comfortable and you get a set of 2 pillows (one thicker, the other one thinner) for all your needs. I had my own pillow with me, I ended up not using it

We stayed at Hotel Tiffany’s Riccione during the Ecomondo fair and everything was absolutely wonderful. The hotel is beautiful, the food was excellent, and the staff were incredibly kind and professional

They even organized a fantastic Italian dance evening that everyone loved — it made our stay unforgettable! We’ll be very happy to come back next year, whether for work or just for a relaxing holiday

Swimming pool is great although a bit cold when you first get in. Outside areas are very pleasant and there was never any shortage of sunbeds. Everywhere was nice and clean and rooms well serviced each day

We happy to chose this place. We had a car and travelled from hotel to different places. Very good relax close to the beach and pool area.

He could have done so much better with the ingredients - no imagination - lots of glutinous, flavourless sauces on pasta dishes could have been so easily improved with seasoning and herbs and some imagination

The hotel snack bar serves the most amazing pizzas overlooking the sea. Drink prices were very reasonable and the pool and beach area were kept immaculate. You can walk along the beach to the small village of Torre Canne

Very nice hotel right next to the beach, heated pool, large suites, very warm animation for kids (pool games, pizza baking, dinner table for kids with the animators, baby disco, etc), good breakfast and dinner (good choice of salads, antipasti, pasta, meat, cheese, fruits, deserts), very friendly and helpful weiters and personnel

Staff was always very nice to us and to our childs. We were also very happy with the pools. As our child's were still young, they really appreciated the indoor pool that was just perfectly warm for us

The hotel even provided with some really nice safety fences for the child beds, just in case. Lot of choices ranging from sea food, pasta and lot of different meats for the carnivores like me

This is our second time here, and we're once again thrilled and very comfortable. The hotel is very clean, offers plenty of attractions, and the beach is just a 5-minute walk away

Nicely located, cozy hotel, not too big, on a beautiful resort. Sun lovers can choose between the beach 50 meters away and a large swimming pool, see photos. I stayed for a week on a bed and breakfast basis

The breakfast was very poorish, only basic things, the area where the hotel served the breakfast could have been nice with a but messy. Only old-fashioned jazz was played all day in the pool area

Location of single rooms right next to lifts, therefore guest movement, children screaming, running along corridor made for a very restless stay

You can rent a bicycle and car through the hotel, Miss Frederica next to the reception knows all about this! You can also book many excursions there. Staff was very friendly and hospitable

The hotel is located about 5 km from the center, which you can walk if you wish - first 500m along a road, the rest along the beach boulevard with many beach bars

Really nice staff at reception. Beach beautiful, and hotel in beautiful spot. No restaurants, bars or options within walking distance, so you have to eat at the hotel if your not wanting to drive 10 minutes to Gallipoli

Adlon hotel is excelent for families with children

Well worth purchasing the breakfast and dinners, food was very nice, lots of choice and fresh fruit, salad, vegetables, bread, cheese and meats included. Staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome

A really friendly and accommodating team! Everyone was super friendly, at reception, at the bar and also the cleaning team. The cleaning team cleaned extremely quickly and cleanly

The breakfast was fine, it was the same every day. The only thing to complain about was that you only get one pillow, which was quite thin and flat

The rooms are also a bit thin and you can hear people talking on the balcony. Otherwise a really great hotel with a perfect location!

Title: Disappointed Compared to My First Visit This was my second stay at this hotel, and unfortunately, a lot has changed since my previous visit

On the negative side, check-in was slow with no additional information, like where breakfast would be, or discounted pricing for the beaches, or information about the facilities (we realized only after a few days that the hotel has a big swimming pool area at the back)
