I went there for New Year's Eve. I recommend flying instead of taking the train. The train station is a boat ride away from the hotel, but the airport has the hotel's own shuttle boat service, which is much more convenient.

It's quiet here, but the quality of the Waldorf Astoria is not up to par. The parking fee is 45 yuan a day, which is incredible on the hill of Rome. The facilities are relatively old and really not worth the price.

The location of the hotel is very close to Spanish steps. Just walk up the steps and it’s very close. Their service is impeccable and friendly. I love their buffet breakfast especially the thick hot chocolate serve at the buffet.

A perfect selection for foreign trackers to Alghero who enjoy high end hotels without being overly pretentious. The shuttle bus won't be able to board if there are too many people. We waited for half an hour past 10 pm. The hotel front desk didn't inform us in advance. Then, when I checked out, I was overcharged twice, saying I had the same last name and room number. Luckily, I checked in, otherwise I would have lost 90 euros. Be careful when checking out. Luckily, Ctrip helped me file a complaint.

Nice hotel, we stayed here for 4 nights and had no complaints. All the staff was friendly and helpful especially the pool attendant, who both AM and PM came around to make sure everyone was happy. Hotel location is good and easy to walk around to see several of the attractions and get food. Only issue we had was the rooms had ants in the original room we were in. However the hotel did take care of it and apologized. If our room did not have the issue with the ants it would be 5 stars all.

Hotel is dated. The air conditioning was making a loud noise. This was addressed however the noise was still there after albeit less loud. The lights flicker every once in awhile. The rooms were clean though and the receptionist was very friendly.

The overall environment is quite good.

The hotel itself was lovely and staff very pleasant. However, if you stay there, be aware that your room may have the same issues ours did (see pictures). Once we reported the issue to the front desk staff, nothing more than a "oh, sorry" was offered. Not what was expected at this level of property but is what will keep us from staying there again.
