Overall service quality was OK, and the staff were polite.

The hotel was a bit far from the station; it took about 20 minutes to walk there with luggage. However, it was very close to the hot spring town. On the return trip, the hotel sent someone to drive us back to the station. Although the hotel was a little old, it was quite clean. Soaking in the hot spring water at Gero Onsen made my skin feel smooth and silky – it was a wonderful experience!

I experienced the best satisfaction at a price that is not expensive for a ryokan.
The building is old and worn out, but it was well maintained and clean, and unlike the outside, the inside was quite spacious.
The host family was very friendly and provided the best service and meals.
The hot spring is also small, but the water is very good and clean.
It is a place that I definitely want to visit again in the future.

The futon were very confortable, the hosts were very nice and friendly, the dinner was incredibly refined.

Several staff members spoke English and everyone was very kind and helpful. They let us practice our Japanese with them and went out of their way to make us feel at home. The rooms were a bit older, but that added to the traditional feel of the hotel. I have a wonderful time relaxing. My only disappointment was not being able to pay with credit card. But that is very common in Japan so it wasn't a big deal
