The accommodation is very beautiful, surrounded by nature, and exceptionally clean and well maintained.
The bedroom features large glass windows that offer a lovely view of the trees.
The bathroom, with an onsen-style bathtub, provides a truly wonderful and relaxing experience.

The staff are very welcoming and kind.
Dinner was beautifully presented and exquisitely delicious, featuring special techniques that I had never seen before. 😊

If I have the opportunity, I would love to return again.

What a lovely inn, owned by a husband and wife team, is perfect for unplugging and just relaxing, whether by the wood burning stoves, on the porch or taking a walk in the park just down the hill. The inn is beautifully decorated in Japanese minimalist style which just calms the soul. I really appreciated the shared, private onsen and took advantage of it several times in the two days I was there. Let’s talk about the food- outstanding!!! Breakfast was delicious for sure, but dinner was next level: five courses of exquisitely prepared and presented food. And if you do the wine pairing? Oooh. The sommelier is passionate about his 300-bottle cellar and the combos he came up with just elevated the food in an incredible way.

What an absolutely amazing property. Everything about this hotel is thought out and intentional, from the entrance to the lobby, the food to the music they play. This is the best of Japanese hospitality with western comforts. The property is very minimalistic in the best way possible. It is modern danish meets Japanese style set in a beautiful and quiet area outside of town. If your looking for a place to rest and get away from the craziness Japan can be... This is it! Don't be turned off by the lack of shower in the rooms. Each room has a private toilet and sink. Yes, the showers are shared but think of it as a private onsen. There are two showers rooms. Each one is private and lockable and suitable for 2 people so you can shower with your partner. There is a changing area and wet room that has two separate shower heads and a beautiful wooden hot tub. It was an amazing and relaxing experience, not at all a downside. The rooms are very simple but clean and comfortable with western style beds. The hotel is located outside of the city but the hotel has luxury vans and is willing to shuttle you. Let me also say the food is AMAZING. Meals are served at set times and worth taking a part of. Meals are western style and delicious. My wife and I are foodies and have eaten at some of the best restaurants around the world and trust me when I say the coursed dinner was michelen star worthy! It was so good we ate there twice. Lastly the owners that run the property are absolutely delightful their service is 5 star, this is their home and they make you feel as their special guests. Do not hesitate in booking this hotel. It will be one of the highlights of your time in Japan.

Words feel inadequate to describe the stay here, easily one of the most beautiful accomodation and dining experiences I’ve ever had. From the moment you arrive, you are transported into a tranquil haven, and are looked after by the beautifully kind family that treat you to this special experience. A time to be offline in nature, to rest, to enjoy exquisite food, and have the best sleep of your life. A spiritual experience. Highly, highly recommend.

What an amazing and special place. This hotel is the best of East meets West. Japanese charm and service with Western comforms. The hotel is truly beautiful and it feels like you're staying in someone's home. The property is quiet and comfortable and we'll maintialed. Everything had been thought of here from the amenities to the curated music. I almost didn't book this hotel because of the shared showers but don't let this stop you! Each room has a private sink and toilet and comfortable western beds. Think of the showers as your own private onsen. There are two private shower rooms. Each with a changing room and shower room. The shower room has two showers and a beautiful wooden hot tub. It is clean and comfortable and a very enjoyable experience. The food is AMAZING! we loved it so much we ate dinner there twice. The owners are lovely and the service is kind and genuine. The fact the hotel is 10 minutes from the city center is a bonus. It's in a beautiful and quiet area with great views of the mountains. The hotel has luxury vans and will shuttle you into the city as needed. Don't hesitate in booking here, this hotel will be the highlight of our 4 week stay in Japan.

It was a very sophisticated inn with a wood-burning stove and we were able to relax and unwind.

This hotel was a sanctuary of calm with forest views from every window, excellent food, very friendly staff, and a minimalist aesthetic. Bathrooms were shared as it provided a traditional Japanese experience but as someone who would generally avoid a shared bathroom this was more part of the experience than a drawback. Rooms extremely clean, calming, and comfortable with own sink and toilet.
