Go to Beppu Station's west exit, on the left, at Station 3. Take Line 1 bus 🚌 to the last stop, Kannawa. It's a two-minute walk to Sansuikan. It's so convenient. From Sansuikan, walk left for about eight minutes to Umijigoku 😊. Umijigoku isn't big, but it has a foot bath where you can soak your feet. An hour's worth of exploration is enough. Beppu is a rural area, so don't expect great restaurants...

The rooms are very clean and a must-see for a stay with two meals. Right next to the hotel are White Pond Hell and Sea Hell, a 15-minute walk away. Blood Pond Hell and Tornado Hell are also easily accessible via bus number 16, which takes 15 minutes.

The hotel is in a great location, just across from Kannawa Station from Fukuoka Airport. While the hotel is older, the rooms are clean and the service is excellent. The public hot springs are large and private, so you can enjoy them privately. You can even watch the sunrise from your room.

The hotel room was very spacious with a great location and sea views. There were many dining options nearby, and the service was excellent. The bathhouse was comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious. The cleanliness was also top-notch. I had a really good night's sleep on the floor in the Japanese-style room.

The hotel is in a very good location, close to the bus station, JR station and several large shopping malls. The hotel hot spring is also good, but the outdoor hot spring is not satisfactory and the facilities are very simple. The room is big enough. The only regret is the breakfast. I booked a single room, but the clerk said it was full that day so I upgraded it to a double room for free. The room was a bit old, but spacious and clean without any odor. The only drawback was that the check-in time was too late (15:00~), and even if you check in a little earlier, you still need to pay extra.

It was conveniently located and close to a famous hot spring, so I experienced a sand bath for the first time. The hotel also has a hot spring, and you can enjoy an open-air bath. The rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable, and although most of the staff were from overseas, they were all smiling and left a very good impression. I would definitely like to use it again.

The hotel has been renovated, and the outdoor hot spring is quite large, fed directly by natural spring water. However, compared to other hot spring hotels in the same price range, there's no welcome drink or all-you-can-drink option, and only iced water is provided after the hot spring bath.

The hotel is located halfway up the mountain, so it's more convenient if you're driving. We booked breakfast and dinner, and the food was absolutely amazing; you definitely have to try it if you stay here. My favorite part was the private hot spring in the room. I'd come back again if I get the chance.

The location is pretty good because it’s private. It’s suit for guest comes with the car. About 15 mins drive to downtown. The room was big with private onsen, clean and simple. The facility is only the public onsen, which is indoor with no view. The breakfast is quite basic, the taste could be more outstanding.

I stayed here in 2024 and had a great experience! This time, however, it was a bit disappointing. The facilities are starting to show their age. The food quality is excellent (half-board with dinner and breakfast). The private onsen in the room is definitely a highlight.

Nice place with great staff. The whole hotel is peaceful ground covered with tatami. We reserved the private onsen and was satisfied with the amenities. Bfast was a set meal with refillable sides and rice. Located not too far from beppu station, its just a straight walk all the way.

location is not ideal without personal transport, have to arrange private pick up or taxi from train station. Room has private onsen but it's not comfortable or inviting as it's a bath tub... not your typical outdoor- pool like tub , so a little disappointing. food was well presented and tasty. Having a private onsen in your room is awesome! But the hotel itself is in dire need of renovation. The floors in the room are scuffed. The wallpaper in the hallway is peeling. And the shower glass is caked with film. This can definitely be cleaned, but alas. Breakfast and dinner are delicious, but very long. Dinner lasts about two hours, with very long breaks between courses.

Unfortunately the room was super moldy and it was ruining the experience. We stayed there for two days. The first day, the dinner was delicious and so was the breakfast but the second day, the food was not as great and the breakfast was served as a Western style, was much less in portion compared to the first day. It was still nice to have Onsen in your room. But it comes with a price.

I think the hotel would get a higher rating if the toilets had at least a bidet. I'd even be willing to pay a bit more for that. It's close to the station and offers great value for money.

Nicely located hotel with free Onsen. The rooms are fairly old and mine was once a smoker friendly room, which explains the slight smell of cigarettes and the yellowish walls. It is great that the hotel is located directly in front of the main station, but be aware of outside noise. I still slept like a stone so for the price I can recommend it.

The staff were super helpful. I had lost my watch the day before and they called around the places that I had visited the day before to ask them for me. It's a little bit of an older hotel but if you're travelling solo and cheap I don't think you can complain about this price.

The place I located 10 minute walk from Beppu station. The checkin is done through a tablet on the reception. Unmanned. Make sure you have the entrance pin code. Not the easiest of checkins. The walls in the bathroom are dusty, the AC too. The bathroom is not heated, so very cold. We had the AC on max, still very cold, there was a cold draft from one of the light switches. The hotel is new and the rooms are large, perfect for families. Everything is very clean and modern, so we were very satisfied. The only downside is that there's no elevator, so you have to carry your luggage yourself. There's a big supermarket nearby, and if you're driving, you can park in the paid parking lot right outside the supermarket, which has reasonable rates.

It was a very pleasant inn. The view from the entrance was great, and although I had a room facing the mountains, I could see the view from the entrance whenever I wanted.
