A perfect inn in every way.
It's such a favorite place that I don't even want to tell anyone about it.
If I had to say something, I wish we could have used the Kero Sauna and Mist Sauna for a little longer...

Traditional ryokan located away from town centre. Nice onsen facilities coupled with Good services. Hotel provides free shuttle service to the train station at check out.

Nevertheless they didn’t allow us to have dinner or breakfast in the hotel as they said it was fully booked, and when requested for late check in we were asked to pay more. It would have been expected to be able to at least check in a bit later since we couldn’t enjoy the dinner or breakfast in the hotel and was inconvenient.

Magnificent photos, taken at night, which are deceptive. The site is beautiful but very isolated. Fortunately Rendaiji station is about ten minutes away on foot to reach Shimoda. The baths and onsen are splendid and very pleasant. The swimming pool deserves to be a little better arranged to be able to take full advantage of it. Room 210, superior according to the reservation, is large, typically Japanese of course but so dated. The 3 futons are not - 2 mattresses placed on top of each other. The beds were made without any care. The windows are held with Scotch tape. Very disappointing experience of Japanese accommodation. We've been traveling on the island for 2 weeks and everything is still so neat... Impossible to communicate with the staff who don't speak English, and we don't speak Japanese. We are not used to booking half board depending on what we find on site. Here, far from the city, we asked to add meals and breakfast when checking in, request refused.

Fantastic experience. We stayed in late September, off-peak season, and there were only a few guests besides us. The staff was incredibly friendly and professional, making us feel right at home. Our room was huge, with our own private onsen, and the facilities left us thoroughly impressed. We couldn't get enough of the Finnish sauna! We regret not choosing the meal-inclusive plan, but the concierge ordered food for us from a nearby sushi restaurant. I highly recommend this place!

Great ryokan with two beautiful onsens and one private bath.
The room is spacious and offers a relaxing atmosphere with a nice view on the river.

Fantastic ryokan inn with great amenities, including baths, saunas, pools, and lounges. Highly recommended if you're planning on staying in the Izu Peninsula.
