Hakodate, 16-3 Wakamatsu-cho (in the centre) 🧭 Map
The room was a bit small, but it's very close to Hakodate JR Station, which you can see from the window and is about a 5-minute walk away. The hotel is also very near Hakodate Morning Market, roughly 100m away, and there's a tram stop right outside. The breakfast was good, and the price in January was very cheap, offering excellent value for money. The front desk staff can speak simple English, and...
The location is good, near JR station, just 5 to 10 minutes walk. Tram station is just in front of the hotel. 5 minutes walk to the ‘Morning seafood’ market. The price is good, so the room is small. The breakfast is better than you expected. If you just need a room for sleeping & shower and good location, this is recommended.
Room is a bit small as usual in Japan for the money we paid for it. Breakfast is very good. Location also very near to the JR station.
Perfect location near bus stops and railway station (we were arrived by train). Good and full breakfast. Rooms are so clean and comfortable. There are luggage store in the reception and a lot of information about transport and attractions in Hakodate. My recommends 👍
Perfect location near the Hakodate Station, tram and central to tourist areas.
Nice to stay in the Comfort Hotel Hakodate. The location is very best, just a walk to the Hakodate station and Hakodate eki mae trem. Just a minute going to Hakodate Morning Market and 1.3 km to the Red Brick.
The staff very helpful and friendly.
The breakfast is good and healthy.
The room is spacious enough for me with my medium luggage 🧳.
The bed is comfortable to sleep in the night.

I chose this hotel after looking at the photos, but was disappointed to find that the interior hadn't been renovated. It was on the sixth floor, so I was amazed to see the Tsugaru Straits when I opened the window. Early in the morning, there was no traffic noise, so I could close my eyes and listen to the sound of the waves, which felt great. However, a colleague of mine who stayed on a lower floor...
The food was delicious, with plenty of sashimi, my favorite dish!
Also, the bath slippers had numbered tags, a nice touch not found at other hot spring inns.
The service staff is very friendly, breakfast is also very rich and delicious
The sea view outside the room window is relaxing
The rooms are a bit old, but the front desk, dining area, and hot springs have all been renovated. The open-air bath, where you can listen to the sound of the waves, is also quite nice.
The location is at the Yunokawa Seaside. The view from the seaside rooms is amazing, and the outdoor hot springs can directly see the sea, which is amazing. However, the room facilities are old and the toilet is not smart. Can you believe that Japanese public toilets are all smart, but the toilet in this hotel is not smart. I went there in winter and it was cold. The experience was terrible. But the...
This is the hotel we changed from the chain hotel at the station. Because there is a hot spring here. It is only one stop from the airport to the hotel, and even if you take a taxi, it is only 50 RMB. There is a very convenient bus stop at the door of the hotel, and it takes about 30 minutes to get to the city. The hotel's breakfast is very rich and you can eat it every day. The hot spring service...

Conveniently located. It was the reason I choose this hotel. Went Hakodate for a meal
We stayed here last minute due to some transport cancellations. The location was fantastic, right next to the station. Room was basic but very comfortable. The staff were friendly. Really enjoyed the outdoor bath while the snow fell.
This hotel is right next to Shin-Hakodate-Hokuto JR Station, making it perfect for a layover when traveling by Shinkansen from Tokyo to Hakodate. It's a business hotel, but the facilities and service are excellent, and they even have a hot spring bath.
The room was clean and tidy, a good experience overall.
This is an excellent option if you need an overnight stay between train rides or picking up a rental car near Hakodate. Easy train access to Hakodate city if you want to visit. Very nice onsen facilities and the rooms themselves are pretty big! WIll definitely stay here again if I'm taking trains between Honshu and Hokkaido.
New and next to station, staff are nice and responsive to email requests.

1. The rooftop indoor and outdoor onsen are absolutely amazing! The indoor pool is very large and long, and in the open-air bath, you can even feel planes flying overhead – a truly unforgettable experience!
2. After your bath, you can also enjoy complimentary snacks, ice cream, and drinks (orange juice, water, beer) at the Sky Lounge outside the onsen, all while taking in the superb views of Hakodate...
The front desk service was excellent, and the room was spacious and comfortable. However, there were some large black bugs in the hot spring water in the public bath. Luckily, I noticed them early and wasn't bitten. Everything else was top-notch!
Booked the room with a private onsen and it was an amazing experience! The staff there are also warm and welcoming. Soe showed us our room and patiently explained the different opening hours for lounge and cafe. Breakfast included was a traditional Japanese style course and it was an amazing experience
The room was large, but going up and down the stairs was inconvenient. Unlike Noboribetsu, they didn't offer to help carry luggage to the room.
The duvet cover was too small; the duvet tucked inside, not covering the feet or shoulders—it wasn't designed for adults.
The shower faucet was difficult to turn on and off.
Perhaps because we checked in late, we were offered an early dinner and an early breakfast. Since we checked in late at noon, we managed to request a later dinner, but it was a bit difficult the next morning. If you have a preferred time, I recommend checking in earlier.
The room was spacious and very nice!
Perhaps because there was a bath in the room, the large public bath was empty and we had it...
A typical hot spring hotel, a bit far from the city center, but the rooms have private hot spring baths, which is very convenient! The service was excellent, the environment was nice, and the breakfast was thoughtfully prepared! Recommended!

Didn't pay attention it was a smoker room so it's my bad. But other wise it's what you need to sleep and shower nothing more nothing less. Close the the train station with lot of restaurant nearby.
This time, I was assigned a smoking room, and as soon as I entered, I felt it was incredibly smelly. I wanted to switch to a non-smoking room, but the hotel was fully booked that night, so there were no rooms available.
The front desk staff were very helpful and had a great attitude, but they couldn't resolve the issue.
I tried opening the window for ventilation. It was very windy that night, almost...
Clean and tidy, with spacious rooms.
The room's location is excellent, just a 5-7 minute walk from Hakodate Station, making it very convenient for getting around. There are also many restaurants nearby. It's not too far from the Red Brick Warehouses and Mount Hakodate, just a few bus stops away.
Clean and comfortable, with convenient stores and restaurants nearby. Very convenient.
I had to catch a 6 AM JR train. They had already prepared some breakfast, but refused to serve it before 6:30 AM. This is a negative point. Will I get a refund for the breakfast cost?

Room was clean, food was delicious!
I will definitely stay again.
The hotel's location is convenient. While there's no particular view, there's a small balcony. The room is also quite spacious. For this price, it includes a dinner buffet and a breakfast buffet, both of which are excellent quality with a good variety of choices. This offers extremely high value for money.
The rooms were clean and comfortable, the buffet dinner and breakfast were plentiful, the bath was quite large, complimentary tea and popsicles were provided outside the hot spring, free parking was available, and the staff were friendly. Overall, it was a good experience.
Check-in was at 3:00 PM, but I was able to arrive around 2:15 PM, which was nice.
The man's English was easy to understand, which was great.
It was the easiest I've ever understood during my trip to Japan!
The room was very clean, the food was good, the staff was very welcoming, and I loved being able to watch the sunrise from my room.
I think it would be nice if the amenities were a little softer...
The location was a bit far from the city's tourist attractions, but it was great to relax, take a walk around the area, soak in the hot springs, and enjoy delicious breakfast and dinner. The staff were friendly, and they even kept my luggage after check-out. The food was delicious, and it was a satisfying two-night stay in every way.
The meals at this unexpected stay in Hakodate were outstanding, and I was truly moved by the receptionist’s fluent English – a rare experience in Japan. Thanks to their helpful guidance, I had a comfortable and relaxing time.

Hotel is a bit far from the City, but the surrounding have a lot of restaurants for dinning! The most disappointing point are no separate air conditioning in the room, only central air conditioning that you cannot control your room temperature, I have to ask for a fan, the other disappointment is the structure or the floor of the hotel was too thin, you can hear your neighbours from above floor and...
What we like:
- Has its own skiing place, convenient;
- love the Onsen and chilling area
- Kid likes the two floors wood cabin.
- there is game arcade too kid likes it
- good service
- Reasonable price
What we don’t like:
- Food: we bought breakfast and dinner, dinner portion was huge (2-3 times to what my family normally eat) but quality is so so, I’d rather have fewer but higher quality. After two...
I love the onsen, especially the outdoor onsen where the snow falls on you when you are enjoying the warm waters. The receptionists don’t really speak English so communication is a bit tough if you cannot speak Japanese. The room is nice and clean. Food is good too.

The facilities, the food, it was amazing.
I just wished that the snow would have came earlier this year. I did not get to snowboard as planned infront of the hotel.
Hotel itself is 10/10. Overall due to no snow, a 8/10.
You can book a pick-up and drop-off service. The price of one night's accommodation with two meals is quite reasonable. You can enjoy hot springs and snow activities. It's a great resort! It's a bit of a shame that skiing won't open until after December 25th!

Probably. It's too cozy.

Simple style, clean and tidy, breakfast and dinner included
Small and old, I chose a non-smoking room, but the corridor was full of cigarette smell, very bad experience
Pleasantly surprised that the hotel provided a free phone with internet access during stay! Fast and hassle free check in and out! Good location and reasonably priced! Recommended ?

Although there are all the necessary facilities, the overall accommodation is a bit small.
The ventilation facilities in the bathroom are not very good. There is a smell as soon as it is opened. Others are okay. The front desk is also very welcoming. It is okay for those who do not have high requirements for the living environment.
It's great.
Family travel accommodation for 2 nights, breakfast and dinner are provided free of charge.
The service is warm and thoughtful, the Japanese house is clean and tidy, and the clerk helped me order it on the last morning.
It's great.
it's beautiful, safe and silence hotel but there's only one cloth dry machine so we have to wait all night to clean and dry it
I liked the unexpected simple breakfast service.
Because I booked a smoking room, it seems to be in an old hotel, so the equipment is older, and the smell of oil smoke from the restaurant will spread to the corridor of the room, but the room is clean.
The hotel will also come with a free meal coupon (choose one of ramen or curry rice)

Lovely hotel. Really enjoyed the stay. Very clean, well built hotel. Run by friendly staff.
The pictures are just random, but the environment is really great! You can self-check-in, and the staff are super friendly. The location is also fantastic, right next to Hachiman-zaka slope, and you step out to a beautiful ocean view.
First off, the location of this guesthouse is fantastic. It's only a three-minute walk to the Kanemori Red Brick Warehouses, and getting to other places is also convenient. The front desk staff was very welcoming and helpful; I really appreciate their assistance.
Have been staying here ever since I first travelled in Hakodate, and I have to say it's still as good as before. The hotel is located minutes away from a tram station and just beside the Red Brick Warehouse area. Towels and amenities are provided, bunk room and bed are big and comfortable.
Will continue staying at this hotel when I come back again in the future.
Deep guided tour of Hakodate. The hotel is right by the sea. Such beautiful ocean views, and on the other side, it's very convenient to get to the top of Mount Hakodate.

Hakodate, 16-18 Matsukazecho (in the centre) 🧭 Map
I stayed here for two nights and had a great time. It was cheaper than nearby hotels, and the parking lot was 500 yen and available for unlimited entry and exit. At other budget hotels, you might encounter issues like a crowded breakfast area, slow check-in and check-out, or a noisy atmosphere. However, here, I was able to enjoy breakfast at a relatively leisurely pace, and even though I checked out...
It offers good value for money. It's also not far from Hakodate Station. There are good restaurants nearby. Overall, if your expectations aren't too high, it's a good value hotel. While the breakfast selection isn't extensive, it's sufficient.
Although the hotel's facilities are old, it's conveniently located next to the train station and Matsukaze-cho, with a McDonald's, drugstore, and local convenience store nearby. Yokomachi is a 5-minute walk away for dining. Overall, it was a good experience.
Although it is an older hotel, it is well-maintained and clean. Considering that breakfast is included, it seems to be very good value for money.
The location is fantastic, about an eight-minute walk from Hakodate Station. There's a McDonald's right next door, a large drugstore across the street, and a convenience store next to the drugstore—it's perfect!
The breakfast is simple but decent, and the staff are all excellent. A highly recommended restaurant.
If you don't smoke, don't save the non-smoking room fee. The room was quite smelly.
The location was terrible, and the facilities were average. The front desk staff was the only good. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone traveling unless you're looking to save money.

Right across the street is Hakodate...
The hotel service was pretty good, with smiling faces at check-in. In the afternoon, there was a faint, recurring noise, but it was never resolved. We walked directly to and from Mount Hakodate. Oh, and on the second floor, there's a ping-pong and pool table. The facilities are quite basic, but it's still fun to play a bit.
Had a nice comfortable stay!
Room is spacious, staff really polite and helpful. They're is a very nice lobby space with free drinks for guests of the hotel. I happened to have the greatest view, ships in the bay
Location is great! Very close to the station and morning fish market. Area around has lots of restaurants and cafe.
Room is big, very near to the tram, about 5 mins away from JR Hakodate station, there’s a 7-11 opposite, very convenient

Hakodate Morning Market and Kanemori Red Brick Warehouses are within walking distance, making it incredibly convenient for sightseeing. The hotel's facilities are well-maintained...

I like this hotel. The staff are friendly and the rooms are nice 😁👍🏻
Nice hotel, the room is spacious
The hotel is a 6-minute walk from the station. The room is spacious and very clean, perfect for Chinese travelers. It has a microwave and cooking utensils, so you can prepare your own meals. It's a great hotel. Plus, the Hakodate tram is quite famous, with over 100 years of history.
The service was excellent and the room was very spacious. The bathtub was smart – you just press a button and it automatically fills up and stops. There was also a microwave, which was great! The hygiene was good too.
The bathtub was large and I could really relax in the warm water. It's also conveniently located near the station and a convenience store, which was great.

The location is very good. Hotel is a bit old but clean. No food service, which is a bit disappoint. In general is Ok.
Nice location if you drive to there. Old japanese style room. Convenience store is just near the building.
The location was good for sightseeing.
However, the facilities were old and the cleaning was poor.
About 20 minutes walk from the station. It's fine except for the smell of cigarettes in the bathroom. There is a large bath, but I was too tired to go. It's a cheap and good place to stay near Hakodate Station.
I had cold tanuki soba. It was a very good 28 soba. There is also a daily lunch, and I think it's a little-known spot. However, the inside of the store is too dark and it is difficult to find the menu (laughs)
cheap!
Bedrock bath is the best! !
Yonaki soba is also great!
It's super hot with a coupon that can be used at the Seicomart next door! !
Because it is far from the city center, it is essential to use the streetcar, but it was a wonderful little-known hotel.

5 minutes walk from Hakodate station, although the hotel looks nostalgic but clean and tidy.
Staffs are very friendly and helpful, can speak simple English, lift available.
Free simple and delicious breakfast.
As a solo traveller the twin room are super big for me.
Very near to the morning market which sells fresh seafood. At night hotel alley is quite dark.
They are friendly and helpful people. We had a tatami room, the place is uniquely beautiful, gave us the olden Japanese vibe.
It's not on a main road so you have to be careful about which way to go, but it's close to the station, restaurants, and markets.
The building is old and not suitable for young women, but I felt it had a nostalgic feel to it.
They offer breakfast service, which I used, and felt was good value considering the price of the room.
The environment wasn't great in terms of pure ambiance, as it's a rather old hotel. However, the price was incredibly cheap, and the owner was very warm and welcoming, as evidenced by the hand-drawn map of the station area. Plus, although the owner is older, his English is quite good, so communication wasn't a problem. Overall, I quite enjoyed my stay.
Nice location (station is literally just one turn away), good traditional room with futon and yukata. Tea is provided and cute set of cups.
Friendly and helpful staff!
However, be careful - elevator is hidden and at first I was not pleasantly surprised to bring my luggage to the second floor. Elevator is hidden in the garage.
All in all hotel is a bit old, but still nice for staying.
If you want to experience sleeping on tatami mats and futons, this is the hotel for you. Super clean, super friendly staff, and a delicious breakfast. We'd stay there again! Although be warned: the pillows are firm, traditional pillows.

We were at our last stop a tad apprehensive about this property, various things popped up that made me question our choice!
However this was probably the best stay on this trip!

We stayed for 5 days and had room (suite) 502. We enjoyed every aspect of this lovely hotel, for example each morning we had a different breakfast, beautifully prepared and more than enough. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Nice view at the mountain. Good supermarkt (Co-op) nearby.
Welcoming staff and a super cozy lounge where you can browse a solid selection of books and enjoy some free drinks. The room was spotless, and the welcome dessert—black sesame pudding—was amazing. I had it while playing jazz through their old-fashioned audio system, which made for the perfect kind of 洋風 experience. Would definitely stay here again next time I’m in Hakodate.

Good, fair and worth 😇😌☺️
The amenities were great and even though I extended my check-out time by two hours, I was still able to get a good deal. The rooms were also very clean.
Was good, near station. Was clean and good.
