Hotels for smokers in Japan

I have been here several times. It is one of my favorite get away spots. They have hot springs, a great international buffet, lovely rooms with great views. It is very modern and spacious. I also think the staff are fantastic and kind.

Recently renovated throughout. Great views of the Saikaibashi bridge, and the whirlpools below. Good breakfast and dinner. Walk the rose garden and continue with a stroll through the nearby fishing harbor to appreciate the spectacular natural surroundings. I would stay here rather than at the Huis Ten Bosch and take advAntage of their free shuttle.

Highly recommended. It offers good rooms and beds. Shower is nice. Plus they offer a hot spring. The lobby has free beer and other drinks and snacks. I will ho back many times.

Great hotel for families. It has everything you need (small pool, kids corner, buffet, spacious rooms, garden...) I highly recommend it.

Not a hotel, a resort! Absolutely perfect vacation stop. Entertainment in the evenings, amazing chefs and food prepared, and couldn't ask for a better atmosphere and lodging. Not to mention the staff that is always looking out for you. I'll be back many times! Thank you for the perfect stay!

Big hotel located by the bay. we got the big room facing the bay. The view is so beautiful. Big room, Clean. Onsen fee 450 yen, free 3 bottles water and 3 little packs of cracker (local snack) in the room. Free parking. Staffs is very helpful. Reading the other reviews, it seems that they have refurbished the rooms (?) Central wifi is available with good connection and fast speed. Room is clean with cold aircon (such a necessity during Japan's notorious summer) and good amenities as well. One thing that bothered me though, during check-in there was a long queue that took me almost an hour. They only had three staffs on the reception desk...

They have smoking and non smoking floors. I was luck to book on the 9th floor which was a non smoking. My experience was amazing. Big room, big bathroom . everything was just perfect. A must visit hotel.

This is an absolutely amazing budget hotel, with all of the bare essentials such as a small refrigerator, tea kettle, some free tea, a wonderful TV, a hair dryer, small toiletries, linen press, and places to hang your wet clothes. Also, the bath is also fantastic, although it may be a bit small for westerners.

The hotel facilities are excellent and the service is great. The location is a bit out of the way, and the shuttle bus schedule is quite limited. Also, the nightly menu rotation is rather uninspired. I'd recommend staying one night, but not multiple days in a row.

Our first experience staying at a traditional hotel was a success! The room with its own outdoor hot spring exceeded expectations. Dinner and breakfast were amazing and varied. The staff was polite and friendly.

We stayed in the Asahi Garden in the villa building. First, we were able to check in on a private sofa. The room was spacious and comfortable for three people. The breakfast buffet was excellent. We had all-you-can-eat seafood bowls (salmon roe, salmon, tuna, and squid), and the salad was delicious. The room was so spacious it felt unbelievable for a single room.

The top floor had a great view. It's in the annex, so if you want a better stay, you'll have to go to the new building. Absolutely loved this hotel! We had a pure ocean-view room on the eighth floor; I imagine the higher up you go, the better the view gets. The breakfast spread was fantastic, with nearly thirty different options, and there's a coffee machine in the lobby. My only minor gripe is that the hot spring pool felt a bit basic. If I ever visit Atami again, I'd definitely stay here.

Loved it is correct but no more. How in any logic could the IDIOTS in Marriott HQ dispose of this property???? From the room you can get a direct view of that iconic Nagoya Castle. Now that it is in other hands, no value to stay there at the same prices. 🤔👹😤😎

Many thanks to all the staff that helped us to find the bag of our daughter that we forgot on the train from Tokyo to Nagoya. Location is 10mins walk from busy street on a small slope, if not requesting pick up from train station, walking there seems a bit far away. Typical Japanese hot spring hotel with excellent view. A bit far from the main street but wont be a problem if you can have a 6-7 mins walk from there.

Thank you for letting us into our room early despite our early arrival. The hot spring was just right, allowing us to relax. The service and hot spring were both excellent, but I wish the food had been a little more creative. The main dishes (sashimi, pork shabu-shabu), and the deep-fried sea bream head were adequate, but I wish there had been a few more side dishes. Still, everything was delicious

We stayed here on a tour of Shonai in Yamagata Prefecture. The hotel is at the entrance to Atsumi Onsen, and is a little far from the area where the ryokans are lined up. The rooms come with kitchens. The annex has a spa and pool, making it easy to get around. There are no convenience stores nearby, so you'll need to buy food at the station. Tokyu Resort across the street is a 5-minute walk away. You can eat desserts and pizza toast at the cafe until 4pm.

The restaurant and front desk staff provided the best hospitality. I was a little disappointed that the massage machine in the relaxation area near the bath and the coffee in the lobby had to be paid for, but I was satisfied because the staff were so friendly.

A 3-star hotel conveniently located near Nagano train station. It's small but comfortable and was clean.

The location is fantastic! It's just a short walk to Nagano Station, and there's a Lawson convenience store less than a five-minute walk downstairs. The hotel provides amenities like a microwave and drinks, and they also offer luggage storage. The room was clean, comfortable, and tidy. Highly recommend!

Room and bathroom were squeaky clean. PJ was very comfy. Breakfast was delicious and good assortment. It’s not too close to the train station but there were free shuttle buses between station to hotel until almost midnight.

Spacious hotel, clean and tidy, love the personal care products you can get at lobby. The lobby closed after midnight, need to page to get in hotel, but the response is immediate, did not cause any problems.

There is a bus to the station and the location is good.

The parking lot is open to guests with unlimited access (please hand in your parking ticket to the counter for processing each time you enter or exit).

I stayed here with my daughter. The location was easy to find, and it wasn't too difficult to walk to the station. The room was clean, and the bathroom and toilet were also clean! We arrived at the hotel a little early, but they were happy to let us check in, which was very helpful. We only stayed one night, but it was very comfortable. I would like to use it again if I have the opportunity.

I stayed here for 4 nights and honestly had a really good experience. The location is great — about a 5-minute walk from Ikebukuro Station’s west exit. The location is good but The hotel room is old and dated , the reception barely speak english and don't expect helpful service. Orginal booking was smoking room but the room was too old and i pay in hotel to change to smoking room. Would suggested to look for other chain hotel nearby like Toyoko Inn.

A family-friendly inn. The beach was right in front of us, but the sea was full of jellyfish, so we were hesitant to swim too much.

It was a great location. Super close to the train station as well as the shopping district. Krispy Kreme and Starbucks is right by the hotel and there are so many stores near by. The room itself is okay. We had a queen bed and a loft bed that fits one teenager or two small children. It was a bit cramped, but it worked for what we needed. Staff was pretty friendly! Excellent Service. Close to the subway. Hotel comes with a free cell phone that you are able to have free Wi-Fi and free international calls. They have free breakfast in the morning. Extremely close to a Street Mall.

Great service in a large Japanese Tradional Onsen hotel. Minutes from the famous Kompira Shrine , room is spacious with great facilities, the outdoor Onsen is good but provide no views. Hotel has free car parking in an area some distance away, though shuttle are free.

This is my second trip to Kotohira. I paid twice as much as I did last time at Kotosankaku, but I can't tell the difference. And I used two types of rooms, but they gave me the same room even though the price was different. I don't understand why. So I felt bad about my trip. I don't think I'll go again.

Very beautiful ryokan, nice and clean with a zen lush garden which you can walk around in the morning and evening. Meals were fantastic and prepared using fresh local ingredients, portions were great and filling. Overall, a very warm and memorablestay in Unzen!

No very good service during dinner

Everything was great! The dinner was wonderful, especially the beef and fish with mashed potatoes (a French dish). Everything is explained very clearly and politely! The staff is very warm-hearted.

Family trip and chose Miyako Daiichi hotel for location. All of the staff were courteous, helpful and thankful for holding our baggage until we could check in. The room seemed remodeled fairly recent and spacious with 2 good sized beds. Quiet for good rest. Table and refrigerator with microwave 2 floors down. No interruptions with Wifi and decent. The hotel has 30 free car parks and its location of the tourist hotel is strategic. I had buffet breakfasts in the Hotel and Miyoka beef dinners at restaurants nearby. It was great value for money for my 2-nights stay from August 18-20, 2019.

Stayed for a night for a convenient way to the airport the next day. Very old hotel (still uses keys) + bed was terrible with super flat pillows.

Location is convenient, close to train station and a lot of restaurant nearby. The toilet/ bathroom was smelly but overall the room was clean. Have a big parking lot right in front of the hotel which is a plus.

Takamatsu Century Hotel is conveniently located nearby Takamatsu Station and Kagawa University where the conference that I was attending took place. The hotel provides all the necessary basic facilities and room is equipped with perfect amenities for a comfortable stay.

The hotel is a 10-minute walk from Takamatsu JR Station and the pier, offering a very convenient location. The room was quite spacious, and the stay offered excellent value for money. I would definitely choose to stay here again on my next trip to Takamatsu.
