The cleaning was thorough in every corner, making for a very pleasant stay. The food was also delicious and very generous in portion size. I would like to stay here again if I have business in Kita-Karuizawa.

It is a pension where you can stay with your dog. The owner couple are very warm, gentle and welcoming. Although it is small, there is a dog run, and the dogs are satisfied. The food is completely homemade and very healthy and delicious. It's not fancy, but it's enough to fill you up. It's a great location to escape the heat in the summer and enjoy skiing in the winter.

I really enjoyed this hot spring hotel. On Mondays, it was so crowded that the entire place was practically reserved. It's said that the former shogunate soldier, Hijikata, bathed there. The water is a saline spring. The dinner was rich and delicious, especially the stew. It was perfect for enjoying a leisurely meal while looking out at the sea.

This is the first time visited Arima Osen. The experience was great. The location of this hotel is ok. If you go to the Main Street from hotel it takes around 5mins. But the pathway is a bit beveled. Stayed here for 2 nights after landing into Tokyo. It’s a friendly and clean hostel with great facilities! It’s slightly out of the centre, but easy enough to travel to via the metro and underground! It is under a train line that runs from 5am to 10pm so do expect some shaking and noise!

Beds were comfy and friendly staff, great location and price. However, I felt like I was staying in an old people's home with lots of long term stays. Unfortunately, this meant the most amount of snoring I have ever heard, literally every bunk bed in the dorm. Bunk curtains are also no good for blocking light out or privacy. This is a standard, established, large hot spring hotel. The lobby is beautifully decorated, the koi fish are charming, and the rooms are spacious. The hot springs are rather unremarkable, and the semi-buffet dinner was particularly disappointing. I've stayed at many onsen hotels with a stay and two meals option, and this one was quite subpar. The open-air bath is amazing. The sauna next to the open-air bath is also very comfortable. There is a wide variety of food, including shabu-shabu and crab shabu-shabu, but the portions are just right. I would like to come back next year at the end of the year.

The two bath facilities were really great. The men's and women's baths were switched between morning and evening, so I got up early in the morning and enjoyed all four. There were also free drinks (but no alcohol), so it was a very satisfying experience. The yukata were also roomy, so I was able to choose my size based on the length.

This hotel is the most expensive one I have stayed in more than 10 times in Japan, but it also has the best service. I experienced the butler service, and I didn't need to carry any bags when I entered the door. The price includes breakfast and dinner, and the breakfast and dinner for two days are different. It's very close to Asamushi Station and has a very spacious parking lot. It seems to be the largest ryokan in Asamushi Onsen. The food is average for a Japanese onsen hotel or ryokan, but the onsen itself is subpar. The colorless, odorless, and ordinary onsen seems below average for a Japanese onsen. The ocean views from the hotel and bathing area are stunning, but the open-air bath is too small.
