Kobe Plaza Hotel West in Kobe

For my relatives hospital visits, my mother and I use this hotel as a hub to do things. And I enjoy the environment progresses every time I stay. I see Paul ( notable French cafe) is under construction and Korean market is next to the hotel for shopping. Vietnamese casual select shop, and I bought a running shoes of Adidas ( marathon runner type). I go back soon again with excitement!

Overall, everything is fine. The only issues are that the room is a bit small, and there are very few places to hang clothes.

Taking the bus from Kansai Airport, it's not a long walk from Sannomiya Station. However, we initially went to the wrong hotel, finding another one by mistake. The hotel is located in a bustling market, which is very convenient. It's right behind Nanjingmachi (Chinatown) and extremely close to the seaside and Sannomiya. The hotel has Chinese-speaking staff who were very polite. The room was also quiet, and the toiletries were excellent. There's a 7-Eleven convenience store to the left. A 5-minute walk to the right will take you to Daimaru Department Store. We stayed for three days and were very satisfied. If we come to Kobe again, we'll likely stay here.

The stay was just so so, strategic location and delicious chocolate drinks were provided but the room were smaller than expected & bed were rather stiff & uncomfortable for me. Anyhow kudos to the counter staff for their excellent service!

The room is on the smaller side comparing with the two hotels I lived in Osaka and Hiroshima, but enough for solo traveler like me. The location is just no comparison. I can walk to the harbor and the main shopping center in 15 min. There are so many good restaurants around.

The hotel's location is excellent, right on a shopping street. There's a 7-11 to the left downstairs, and plenty of drugstores nearby. It's very close to Shin-Kobe and Sannomiya stations. If you want to go to Kobe Port, it's just over a kilometer's walk. The value for money is superb. Next time I come to Kobe directly from Shanghai, I'll definitely stay here. The front desk service was also great. I traveled alone in Japan, and Kobe was my last stop and also where I found the most satisfying hotel. The room facilities were complete, and overall cleanliness was quite satisfactory.

The corner room was significantly larger than the single room, making it quite suitable for two people. However, the soundproofing of the room door was almost non-existent; you could hear every word spoken in the hallway clearly. The hotel is located in Motomachi, a bit of a walk from Sannomiya, about 15 minutes on foot. There's a shopping street nearby, which is great for eating and browsing, and it's within walking distance of Daimaru Department Store. Meriken Park is also within walking distance. Surprisingly, there's even a Yang Guofu hot pot restaurant on the shopping street! 🤪

Great location! The hotel is right above a bustling commercial street, making dining, drinking, and shopping incredibly convenient. The facilities are comprehensive, clean, and tidy, and the service is warm and friendly. It's also within walking distance of all the main attractions. Highly recommended!

The hotel's location is excellent, right within the Motomachi shopping street, yet surprisingly quiet. Next door there's a lovely coffee shop with great coffee and delicious bread. Several famous old coffee shops like Nishimura, Kohshodo, Taco, the bakery Riki, and a drugstore are all within a 1-2 minute walk. Daimaru department store is conveniently located at the entrance of the shopping street. It's about a 3-minute walk to JR Motomachi Station, and you can reach Osaka Umeda in about 30 minutes. Sannomiya, Kobe, is roughly a 10-15 minute walk away. This hotel offers easy access to everything.

What's particularly impressive is that the hotel cleans the rooms daily, which is not always common in Japan. Even if you don't require a full cleaning, they'll hang fresh toiletries and towels on your door. Although the room isn't huge, it's perfectly fine for a solo traveler. It's clean, well-maintained, and offers incredible value for money, truly exceeding my expectations and making my trip more enjoyable. The front desk also has staff who speak Chinese, and everyone is incredibly patient and always smiling. The service is truly top-notch.
