Kobe, Higashinada-ku Mikagehonmachi 7-6-17 (7 km from centre) 🧭 Map
This was my second time staying here, and I loved it! I even got to enjoy a bubble bath, which was a real treat. It's so affordable, even on weekends, so I'll definitely be returning!
The bed creaked terribly, but otherwise, I had no complaints.
The value for money was good. Unfortunately, only smoking rooms were available, and the strong lingering smell of cigarette smoke was quite bothersome.
It is a comfortable stay near to Mikage station.
Overall, it's good. It's just a bit old. The hygiene is average. But the room is quite big. The price-performance ratio is quite high. There are big windows and the sun is very bright. It's much better than a commercial hotel. But it's a bit old. I should choose an old hotel next time if I go on a business trip nearby. Will stay there again
Equipment, customer service, rental items It was very good.

Kobe, Kyomachi, 67?2, Chuo, 650-0034 Kobe, Prefektura Hyogo, Yaponiya (in the centre) 🧭 Map
It was a little dimly lit, which was a minor concern, but it was very clean and that was great!
The room wasn't huge, but it was perfectly adequate. More importantly, it was immaculately clean, and the service was excellent and very attentive. The staff at this Italian hotel spoke good English, which was a huge plus. Overall, I was very satisfied. Also, its location in a bustling area made getting around incredibly convenient.
Overall, it was a decent stay, likely an established hotel. The air conditioning unit was quite loud; we had to turn it off to get some quiet. Otherwise, the surroundings were relatively peaceful, and the area was good for exploring. A major inconvenience was that the hotel is located on the second floor. Checking in required us to carry our luggage up numerous steps, which definitely needs improving...
The hotel is located in the CBD, very strategic location to access to everywhere. 5mins walk to the Chinatown, 10mins walk to train station, 15mins walk to Meriken park. The hotel seems a bit old but very well maintained, clean and comfortable. Staffs are very friendly and helpful. We love the stay very much and super valuable for its price!
The hotel is OK and is close to Guoren Street. It is good to shop around. There are good stores.
It's close to Sannomiya Station and the front desk is open 24 hours, so it was okay to come back after walking around late at night~! However, I had to go up the stairs to the front desk, so it was a bit difficult to carry my suitcase up there. Other than that, it was nice and the cleaning was very clean👍

My room was immaculate. The bed was comfortable. The service was excellent. Even though my room was beside the elevator, it was perfectly quiet. The location was great, just a five-minute walk to Sannomiya Station,
It was so cold. I wouldn't recommend it unless you're a traveler who has a hard time finding a place to stay or is on a tight budget due to a sudden visit to Osaka.
Close to Sannomiya Station. Restaurants, supermarkets, convenience stores, everything. Very conveniently located hotel. A little dark, which makes the hotel look bad. If the lights were a little brighter,
The hotel is located about 400 meters from Sannomiya JR station. Chinatown is 1.5 kilometers and the Kobe port tower about 2.5 kilometers. The service was exceptionally good, courteous and helpful. The front desk saw me bringing some Ramen noodles and gave me a teapot. The room was comfortable and large enough.
Lovely hotel 🏨 ♥️♥️♥️supper clean & neat
love the location. the receptionist always tried to help. the room is expectedly small.... but still clean

Kobe, 858 Arima-onsen (13 km from centre) 🧭 Map
This was my favorite hotel during my trip to Japan. The elegant and pleasant environment, the golden hot springs, and the kaiseki cuisine were all unforgettable. The attention to detail in the service made me feel completely relaxed and happy. It was a truly memorable time, and I will definitely choose this onsen hotel again if I have the chance.
absolutely beautiful~ Nice service Quite and comfortable
Cleanliness: The room had bugs; I killed 3 on the first night. Service: The service was very thoughtful. They helped carry luggage into the room and even set up the tatami. At check-out, they proactively helped take luggage to the front desk. Facilities: It's a very old wooden house. You can't make loud noises at night, as it genuinely disturbs others. Environment: It's very close to Arima Onsen Station...
This was our first experience, our first time at an onsen and ryokan. The hot springs were superb. The room was Japanese-style. Dinner and breakfast were also new to us.
Had such an amazing experience at this ryokan! Everything was wonderful - the room, the service, the onsen and the dinner. Highly recommend! There was a brief misunderstanding at check-in, but resolved in no time. The staff is amazing!
The hotel staff provided incredibly attentive and thoughtful service, and the rooms were well-appointed and very comfortable. The Japanese aesthetic was beautifully reflected throughout the architecture, rooms, dining, and service, making for a truly fantastic experience. Its location is also superb, being very close to both bus and subway stations, which makes shopping incredibly convenient.

Stayed here again. It's conveniently located and clean. However, the breakfast and dinner package isn't as elaborate as it used to be.
Great location, right on a shopping street. The dinner was especially good and very filling.
Nice Services. A staff can speak fluent Cantonese! Well done dinning for both breakfast and dinner served with Kobe beef!
Chinese-speaking staff at check-in and during meals were a definite plus. This hotel offers great value for money, with spacious榻榻米 rooms. The rooftop onsen, featuring both gold and silver baths, was a fantastic experience. The price included both breakfast and dinner, and the meals were very traditional Japanese; some dishes were delicious, while others weren't quite to my taste.
The onsen is smaller but the effect I guess is better . Also they provide all the amenties generously like shampoo shower gel hair treatment facial milk etc .
Location is very near train station. Dinner and breakfast are good, especially Dinner food are more than enough. Onsen are good.

We had a wonderful stay here. The Osen, facilities , services were good however the room setup lighting would need some upgrade for better ambience & mood on such a nice setting & locations as it does not have cove effect, dimming or warm light.
One of my favorite hotels during my trip to Japan
The hotel service is very good, free pick-up and drop-off, free bus ticket booking, average food, small pool
Really good! Very unique, I like the hot spring hotel very much, the scenery outside the window is pleasant and beautiful! If you like a leisurely and quiet place, you can choose this place👍
The price/performance ratio is extremely low. The hotel facilities are the lowest among all the places I have visited in Japan. I highly do not recommend it. 5000+ for three people a night, the shuttle bus will not come to pick you up until after 3 o'clock. I see that other hotels in the hot spring area have on-demand shuttle services. It's a very ordinary, old tatami room. The area is not very large...
It was worth the trip~~!!! Although it is on the mountain, there is a car to take you to the town at the foot of the mountain. You can make an appointment for a private bath every hour, but there is actually no one in the public bath~ Breakfast, lunch and dinner are all very rich and impeccable~ You can also experience Yukata and tatami. Always nice and big room size.
The hotel is so very cozy and our room is so big and look so luxury i love it! the onsen is so great my husband and i really refreshed and relax the onsen but its too far from our room and i really love the gelato icecream its so really good! but over all the hotel is so nice looking for to come back and stay again thank you!
Thus is a love hotel For privacy, this hotel was built on top of a hill. You must drive! There is no public transport It takes at least 30 minutes from Shintetsu Rokko Station to walk up the hill. They only provide breakfast. Luckily they served me an all day breakfast upon my arrival cause I arrived in the evening ! The room is very good! Clean , comfortable, fridge ,big tv screen , lightings ...
Hotel amenities quite good. Not near to city but if going to rokkosan, is quite convenient
This was a good place but the location was on the mountain which was a little far from restaurants. Definitely not a place to take your children, there was a massager on the table. But a nice hotel with friendly staff.
A love hotel close to the Mt Rokko Observatory Deck for night view. The roads around the hotel are hard to navigate. If the price is right, it's a good choice with free parking.

The private onsen was super convenient, and the room itself was very spacious. There was even a charming little garden right outside the door, perfect for photos! Breakfast was a set menu and quite substantial.
The staff were incredibly friendly. I accidentally left something behind, and they kindly responded to my inquiries and even sent it back to me by mail, which I really appreciated.
Not a bad ryokan. The rooms are large and cozy, with comfortable beds and pillows. Inside the ryokan, there are two small private onsens. They're a bit worn out. You can also access the public onsen for free, which we actually preferred. We skipped the kaiseki dinner and just had breakfast. It was a pretty tasty and filling traditional breakfast.
An excellent, authentic ryokan. Friendly staff. Interesting kaiseki breakfasts and dinners. There are two private hot springs in the ocean—access to both is included in the room rate. You can also use the onsen at the nearby partner ryokan. The village of Arima Onsen itself is beautiful! Be sure to visit the park and ride the cable car up Mount Rokko.
This is a quaint traditional hot spring hotel. Because it is not very large, it only has 2 indoor hot springs (but you can use the outdoor hot spring in the main building), and the indoor hot spring is relatively small. As for the food, the portions are not too big and the ingredients are not very high-end, but the taste is good. As for the service attitude, except for the female waiter I met when...
The hotel service attitude is very good, the hotel location is good, the staff is very friendly and will inform you that you can take a free hot spring bath in Taoquan Goshofang. The breakfast and dinner are also very delicious

This hotel, nestled halfway up the mountain, offers a traditional Japanese ryokan experience with tatami mats, which was a wonderful experience. When there are fewer guests, it feels like you have the whole place to...
Helpful staff and good location, room and amenities are a bit old though.
Great experience and excellent services. The room was great and the food was yummy.
The hotel boasts an excellent location near the station, making it highly convenient. The service is attentive and thoughtful, while the dining options are outstanding. Rooms are clean and well-maintained, ensuring a comfortable stay. Highly recommended for travelers seeking quality and convenience.
The hot spring is very good. I came here with my family this time and felt like I was at home. The service was friendly and excellent.
The service of the staff is superb and way beyond expectation.  I noticed that the yugata for my wife is men’s size and my slipper is women’s size. I hope they can be more prepared on the suitable sizes to be available for guest. The only thing I don't really like is the toilet room inside the Japanese style room. The room was generally clean. It was a shame that there were burn marks on the tatami mats, even though it was supposed to be a non-smoking room (probably the fault of the smokers), but there was no smell, so it was fine. I wanted to sleep well, but the window only had a shoji screen, so it was too bright and I had to wake up. Also, I could hear quite a bit of noise from the next room, which was bothersome
The hotel staff was very kind and helpful. The suite was spacious
Love the location very close to the center and public transport. Onsen is very clean .. definitely book a room with the onsen in the room, solo traveler can reserved a private time on schedule. The hostess is very helpful and speak English .. at night the security lock the front door please take note of the number to help you get in . Have a nice stay 😉
Great little hotel with very friendly staff. Excellent value with free natural Spa (hot water with healing powers emerging from the ground) and an excellent Japanese breakfast (see picture). A few minutes' walk from the bullet train station. Highly recommended.
I wish the price was a little cheaper since it was just a room without meals. Other than that I am satisfied.

Great place and experience if you wanna try a ryokan. Eating kaiseki and sleeping on a futon. Also it was pretty big room with a nice view loggia. For the onsens, I did like the left opened one of a gin water. Although they are switched for male and female thrice a day. It is not necessary to leave it during the day, but if you want to have a stroll, there is Rokko mountain near around.
Nice traditional ryokan with hospitable staff in a convenient location close to Arima onsen. Everything’s was great, however if you’re sensitive to sound and are staying on the ground floor, you will hear noise from the room upstairs.
We wanted authentic experience in traditional japanese hotel and this place was a perfect match. It is located within walking distance from center of the village and it was really calm and quiet. Environment: Arima Onsen has a nice environment. Since it's primarily a carbonated spring, there's no rotten egg smell like sulfur. The town is easy to explore and well-developed commercially. Cleanliness: Although we booked a traditional Japanese onsen ryokan (traditional Japanese inn), we requested a twin room. The room was quite large, very clean and tidy, and we didn't have to worry about not...
Second time staying here. Although the location is far, there is a special car to pick you up after arriving in Arima area. The price is reasonable. One night and two meals are provided. The portions are sufficient and very delicious. The place is clean and quiet. It is a good choice.
Stayed in a private bath room, but the room was very small, the bath was like a bathtub, and it looked different from what I thought when I booked the room. I thought it had hot spring bath, but it turned out to be a public bath. The food was delicious, and the environment was quiet, but it was not possible to check in ten minutes earlier. It was inconvenient to have to go to a second place for dinner
The hotel room has a built-in hot spring, which is well equipped and convenient. To use the large hot springs and baths, you have to walk a few minutes to the sister store, which is a bit inconvenient and cold. The food is good, although there is not much beef, but everything else is good. Better than cost-effectiveness
Arima Onsen is very quiet like this family-style hotel. There are private hot springs across the street and public breakfast and dinner, which are very rich! The choice this time was really correct. The whole family had a great time.
Not a bad experience. The hotel provides free round-trip transfer service, but you can only contact the hotel from 1430 on the day of arrival. Dinner is kaiseki cuisine, mainly fish dishes, and you need to walk to the sister hotel nearby (1-2 minutes away) to enjoy it. Breakfast is a set meal and you need to stay in the hotel to eat. The Japanese-style rooms for two are located on the second and third floors of the building called Yamatogokoro. Check-in is at the Goshobo Inn. The hotel was very clean and well-equipped, with a fridge and microwave, which was great.
It would have been nice if tea or coffee was provided.
The smell of the baldness concealing powder at the front desk was strong.
Unusually for a hotel, there were no tea leaves and we were told to buy tea from a vending machine. On the plus side, since we were only staying overnight, there was a microwave which was a relief. The room was well cleaned, but the bottom of the bathroom curtain was stained with black mold and was disgusting. There was a crack at the bottom of the sink area and it had been sealed with duct tape.

We really loved our stay. The host was great, everything was clean and cozy. Dinner and breakfast were delicious. The staff were friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed our stay very much.
The owner was very welcoming! The balcony view was great, it had a real Japanese town vibe from the era of sake breweries! ❤️❤️❤️
Pros: Clean, although everything is ancient, located next to the bus station. The blankets are warm. Cons: The onsen is terrible!!!!! Everything is moldy, the basement stinks, slime. We couldn't even go inside. We went to a neighboring hotel, everything was clean and nice there. Cold! My back fell off the futons, my neck fell off the pillows.
