The hotel has a considerable history. Situated high in the mountains, the air is pleasant. The Japanese-style rooms are excellent, and the balconies are nice. It has all the necessary amenities for a holiday
The onsen is really good, with many indoor and outdoor baths. Because it's an old and large hotel, there are certainly some areas that could be improved
But overall, it's still acceptable considering the price and the quality of service
It was so good! I'll definitely be coming here every winter.
Breakfast offered a wide selection of Japanese and Western dishes, a wide variety of drinks, and homemade dishes like scrambled eggs and simmered pumpkin. We were very satisfied with both the variety and the taste
The hot spring water is rich and contains a high amount of iron, making it impossible to see the bottom of the tub, and the iron solidifies outside the bathtub. It was a memorable experience for hot spring lovers

Our server didn't speak English and we didn't speak Japanese so there was a minor misunderstanding but everything was resolved 😅 I'm definitely a fan of such kind of a meal now! We visited all the hot springs that are available in this hotel and it's sister hotel across the river
Unfortunately they are closed from 9:00 to 12:00(check out time) which make it impossible to enjoy them in the morning for those who prefer to sleep in(( Would definitely reccommend the stay for relaxing and luxurious experience
We saw the shuttle arrive and leave twice, and we didn't have time to go out and stop it. It would have been great if a doorman could have held the car for us. This caused a delay of about 20 minutes
The facilities were a bit old but still clean and hygienic. The older staff members were incredibly helpful; when we requested water delivery around 6 AM, it was brought to our room immediately
However, the younger staff seemed to lack a bit. We had luggage and told the front desk that we'd wait in the lobby for about ten minutes before taking the hotel's shuttle to the Hankyu bus station
The room was slightly different from the pictures, but it didn't affect our stay. The surroundings were truly beautiful, especially the colorful autumn mountain scenery right next to the hotel

Kobe, 3-3-20 Yamamotodori, Chuo Ku (in the centre) 🧭 Map
Pool: Pool
To start with the room, a fairy tale I never wanted to leave this fabulous place the establishment is of an incomparable chic, the gastronomic space of the restaurant is fabulous the dishes are of a finesse and taste to make you fall from your chair, I recommend more than nature, an incredible setting with an auxiliary establishment at the top of the mountain where I wish you to go there one day
EV friendly as they have free charging stations (bring your charger. Tesla doesn't need it as they have one for Tesla). "The most delicious breakfast" sounds true as they serve homemade food, using local ingredients
The hotel is indeed a bit old, and the facilities are relatively old, but it is still well maintained and clean. The room size is OK, at least a family of three can use it normally
Kitano Tenmangu Shrine and Kitano Ijinkan Street are not far away, but Kobe is always uphill and downhill, and it is a bit tiring to walk
The bathroom is quite large, but the shower room is a bit compact. The breakfast mentioned in the comments is indeed very diverse
It is amazing at first sight, but to be honest, I can't eat it after two bites, but many Japanese come here specifically to eat

It was really easy to just walk up to the front desk and ask if we could use just their bath. Men and women separated, no swimsuits nor towels nor tattoos allowed in the water
The room was a good size with mountain views. The hotel didn't have private bathrooms, but had a large public bath with seven different hot spring flavors, said to treat various ailments and insomnia
The hotel also offered complimentary gold or silver hot spring experiences. Unfortunately, I didn't have the chance to try the hotel's breakfast and dinner this time
It is a very cost-effective hotel in the surrounding area. I basically stay here every time I come. It is clean and tidy, the service is good, and the transportation is convenient. There is nothing to fault at this price
(Typical bathhouse rules) it was under 1400yen/person when we visited. Nice and clean, but don't be surprised if there is an older woman cleaning while you get naked/dressed
Overall, it's great in every aspect! The environment is quiet, and the location is not far from the city center; Arimada Street is within walking distance.

An old hotel with very few hot spring pools, you can count them on one hand. The overall comfort level is just average
Like the quaint yet very elaborate ryokan style of living. The onsen may not be as big and fancy as in noboribetsu but it is still comfortable. I subscribed to their dinner and breakfast which was pretty good
One of the best experiences in my life. The view from the windows is incredible. Kaiseki dinner was awesome (requires booking in advance, though). The staff is extremely polite and helpful
Very nice traditional hotel. Perfect location, a nice remote village with services and shops, if needed. Good staff, always helping and are there to even open doors. Very relaxing onsen
great location, just a couple of minutes from Arima-onsen bus station. The staff and service amazing. I was provided a vegetarian kaiseki dinner and breakfast upon request
Excellent place to experience traditional Japanese living.  To avoid difficulties with getting to the hotel you should take a bus at Shin-Kobe station before darkness

The price-performance ratio is quite high. There are big windows and the sun is very bright. It's much better than a commercial hotel. I should choose an old hotel next time if I go on a business trip nearby
This was my second time staying here, and I loved it! I even got to enjoy a bubble bath, which was a real treat. It's so affordable, even on weekends, so I'll definitely be returning!
Equipment, customer service, rental items It was very good.
The price and facilities were really great! !! !!
The price around time is cheap and the room is also beautiful. Considering the cost performance, it can be said that the service is also high quality
This hotel is recommended not only for young people but also for people in the third and fourth generations

We had a great 1 night stay at this hotel! This was a wonderful experience! Although we only spent 1 night here, as this was meant to be an overnight stop between cities in our travel road trip, this left such a good impression on us, that we would like to come back to Akashi just to stay in this hotel again
The room was super spacious and designed nicely, with a huge hot tube jacuzzi, and since we took the ocean view room, the view overlooking the ocean and bridge was just breath-taking 👌 The breakfast was just right, and they totally accommodated my meal requests and accomplished to have a very good result
There's also a self-service snack bar with drinks on the 3rd floor – don't miss it! If the weather is nice, be sure to take a walk or bike ride around the hotel area 🚲 – it's so relaxing 😌 I've stayed at several hotels in this area, and this is definitely the best value for money and most comfortable!
Excellent hotel for a weekend trip, the room is huge and as a soda chair and table. The lounge offer you wine, beer, juices, milk and lots of snacks like peanut, cookies, coffee , tea,ect excellent Location
The hotel has a beautiful view, and the rooms are large and comfortable. The room decor is very stylish, and the appliances are all the latest. The service was excellent, and I had a great rest
The location, food, and service were all excellent. The view of the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge right in front of us was spectacular! We spent a relaxing time watching the ever-changing scenery

The hotel is conveniently located, only 2 minute walk from the bus stop on the main street of Arima. I believe it could be the oldest hotel within the area, judging from the deco
And yet it provides the environment and the atmosphere that we like from an onsen hotel. The onsen on the top floor is medium in size, and providing both gold and silver hot spa that are both famous in the place
The price included both breakfast and dinner, and the meals were very traditional Japanese; some dishes were delicious, while others weren't quite to my taste
Chinese-speaking staff at check-in and during meals were a definite plus. This hotel offers great value for money, with spacious榻榻米 rooms
Location is very near train station. Dinner and breakfast are good, especially Dinner food are more than enough. Onsen are good.
Nice Services. A staff can speak fluent Cantonese! Well done dinning for both breakfast and dinner served with Kobe beef!

The hotel service is very good, free pick-up and drop-off, free bus ticket booking, average food, small pool
Staff attitude is excellent. Lots of useful information for us. I tried the indoor swimming pool with my son after dinner, have a wonderful time. Breakfast is delicious. Highly recommended for family with young kids
The Osen, facilities , services were good however the room setup lighting would need some upgrade for better ambience & mood on such a nice setting & locations as it does not have cove effect, dimming or warm light
There is a service staff who works in Taiwan and helped us translate throughout the whole process. Very nice and took care of us. Very suitable for children~ You can go to the official website to check it out
It takes a big slope to get there from the station. It's too hard to pull the luggage. I wanted to call to pick up, but the store number provided by Ctrip was one digit less, so I couldn't get through
The various children's facilities are amazing! ! ! The children had a lot of fun

The hotel is so very cozy and our room is so big and look so luxury i love it! the onsen is so great my husband and i really refreshed and relax the onsen but its too far from our room and i really love the gelato icecream its so really good! but over all the hotel is so nice looking for to come back and stay again thank you!
So my lovely wife booked this hotel for us on our honeymoon because she was looking for a place with a king sized bed. When we arrived, we discovered (to our amusement and delight) that it was a love hotel
Other than the fact that it's a bit out of the way (20 minute walk down some steep hills) from transit, it is a fantastic place to spend a few nights
A lot of space, really nice room
Luckily they served me an all day breakfast upon my arrival cause I arrived in the evening ! The room is very good! Clean , comfortable, fridge ,big tv screen , lightings !Free tea bags and coffee ! There are plenty of amenities! You can watch tv while you have a bath in the tub
This was a good place but the location was on the mountain which was a little far from restaurants. Definitely not a place to take your children, there was a massager on the table. But a nice hotel with friendly staff.

The environment is very good, very comfortable, and the service is good. The only thing is that it is not close to a convenience store. If you want to buy snacks, you have to buy them in advance before checking in.
excellent onsen hotel! despite its difficult location, they provide shuttle service probably from anywhere around arima station (but you gotta have a JP phone number and you speak japanese)
combined modern and traditional wooden japanese style. once checked in, they serve welcome drink and snacks at the lounge and immediately we felt ourselves in another world. alcoholic drinks available too
however if you'd like to dine outside, they're happy to arrange pick up service to and from. the staff cannot speak much english but they're equipped with the little translation machine
and for breakfast, they don't serve in-house, but they will send you to the cooperated Sora Cafe which is only a few mins drive apart. overall we had a really nice stay here
there's a restaurant enclosed but you must reserve dinner when the time you made your room reservation, they need time to prepare in advance

The hotel has very attentive and friendly staff. The onsen is very pleasant. The rooms are atmospheric. The hotel has all the necessary services. Next time I would like to spend more time at this hotel.
A heartwarming and thoughtful mountain hotel experience. This hotel stay completely exceeded my expectations
From the moment I arrived, I felt a deep sense of genuine hospitality – there was a dedicated shuttle service directly from the station to the hotel, saving me the hassle of dragging my luggage around
The service throughout was attentive yet unobtrusive. From the shuttle arrangements to the luggage storage, everything was efficient and heartwarming. It's truly perfect for travelers planning a hot spring trip
The food was surprisingly delicious, with fresh ingredients and thoughtful pairings. The room was clean and comfortable, meticulously cleaned daily, and the common areas were also spotless
We always book the same room with our private onsen so we can soak ourselves unlimited times a day while enjoying their cuisine both in the evenings and mornings in our room

They also provide Chinese-speaking staff, and every employee was incredibly polite, always greeting guests with a bow. The kaiseki dinner we had ordered was absolutely delicious. Overall, a fantastic experience!
The hot springs are especially good, with the 'Golden Spring' and 'Silver Spring' swapping daily. After soaking in the Golden Spring, my skin felt amazing the next day! I also really loved the outdoor bath
Located in a hot spring town, I visited on a weekday, so it was pleasantly uncrowded. The ambiance was incredibly pleasant, and the soak was wonderfully relaxing. I'd love to go back for another soak!
This ryokan (traditional Japanese inn) is a bit older, with a very traditional Japanese style. The staff are all very enthusiastic and patient, doing their best to answer any questions you have
The surrounding area only features a small onsen town to explore, but the real charm of this place lies in enjoying the delicious food, relaxing in the onsen, and getting a truly restful sleep
A truly classic Japanese onsen hotel. The service, cuisine, and onsen were all absolutely outstanding! I'm already thinking about a return visit when the weather gets a bit cooler

Really appreciated the service we received when checking in. Please note that the check-in is at a different location around the corner. When we followed Google search, it gave us a location that was part the Toy Museum
From the window you can look at the gold bath. There is also a bathroom, but it's just in front of the water, so I hope you'll go there. We walk a little to Gin no Yu, but there is feeling in town and walk is wonderful
The location of this place is so convenient. It is within walking distance to everything! It is literally 2 minutes walk to Kin no Yu, around 2 corners. It is also a 10-ish minutes walk to Gin No Yu
The location is about 5 minutes walk to the bus terminal. The Arima onsen train station is a little bit further, but within 10 minutes walk. Arima onsen is a little town and everything is within walking distance
The staff helping at check-in showed us around the rooms and how to use everything. She even helped us wipe the wheels on our suitcase. The accommodation provides sweet senbei and yukatas for sleepwear
The building is a traditional Japanese house with multi-storeys. There are tatami mats on the floor in the living area. The toilets and bathroom are all well cleaned, including the vent in the shower

Be aware that the main building's public onsen for men and women is only separated by a thin partition, making it essentially a mixed-gender bath. Our room was spacious but rather dim, and the soundproofing was poor
This was my favorite hotel during my trip to Japan. The elegant and pleasant environment, the golden hot springs, and the kaiseki cuisine were all unforgettable
The attention to detail in the service made me feel completely relaxed and happy. It was a truly memorable time, and I will definitely choose this onsen hotel again if I have the chance
Had such an amazing experience at this ryokan! Everything was wonderful - the room, the service, the onsen and the dinner. Highly recommend! There was a brief misunderstanding at check-in, but resolved in no time
Both breakfast and dinner were generous and delicious. The restaurant boasts a charmingly retro atmosphere, with a vintage feel that is impeccably maintained. The public Kinsen (Golden Spring) bath was wonderful
Gosho-bo is conveniently located right next to an orange souvenir shop, a common stop on the way from Kyoto to Arima. Upon check-in, guests are asked to change into slippers for use throughout the ryokan
