Village Hotel in Kyoto

Everything good. Just need to be able get the parking lot 🤭

Out of all the hotels I stayed at during my trip to Osaka, this one was by far the most comfortable. Everything was top-notch – cleanliness, location, and the overall ambiance. If I ever get the chance to visit Kyoto again, I'll definitely choose this hotel.

Location good and convenient, very close to stations. Some restaurants nearby and convenient stores nearby. Room is not very clean need to improve

This hotel has one of the bigger rooms and it can cater to families.Price is also reasonable. The highlight of this hotel would have to be the free flow of sake. I found one that I like but unfortunately have to search for it outside. The hotel does not sell. In the end, I got to know it is a local brewery near Ine. Hence, not readily available anywhere.

The room was very spacious, and it even had a tatami area. There's a hot spring on the first floor which is quite large, and after a soak, you can enjoy some cold drinks. The lobby also offers various alcoholic beverages for tasting. Overall, I was extremely satisfied and would definitely stay here again.

Lots of shopping options nearby. The hotel doesn't have a car park. Plenty of dining choices around. There's a large public bath. The corridors are breezy, so it gets quite cold at night.

Love village Kyoto stay. Absolute comfortable. Spacious, separate cubicles for toilet, shower. Thick mattresses for bed and ryokan. Silk quilt. Organic toothbrushes, comb, amenities. Free matcha. Extra pillows a plus. Onsen that's big! Free ice cream too.

Very nice & quiet hotel with good location

We arrived at the hotel around 2 PM, and the front desk kindly allowed us to check in early, free of charge. The room was spotlessly clean and felt spacious, featuring traditional tatami flooring. A lovely touch was the complimentary matcha tea, which offered a pleasant opportunity to experience a Japanese tea ceremony right in our room. The hotel offers several complimentary services, including hot spring access (onsen), cold drinks, sake, and an incense appreciation experience, along with luggage storage. For convenience, there are also three coin-operated washing machines and dryers available. The location is excellent: both the subway and bus stations are just about a 3-minute walk away, and Kiyomizu-dera Temple is only one station away. The surrounding area is very well-equipped with convenience stores, supermarkets, and shopping malls, plus there's a Matsuya restaurant nearby, making everything incredibly convenient.

We stayed in a room for three, which had twin beds and a tatami space. It was clean, comfortable, and the space was quite decent. The hotel's ground floor had several complimentary offerings: a public hot spring bath, sake tasting, a DIY scented bookmark station, and free ice cream. These were all fantastic additions and made for a great experience.

The hotel boasts a very convenient location. Just a left turn out the door, you'll find both a subway station and a bus stop. Plus, there are FamilyMart and 7-Eleven convenience stores close by.

I compared many hotels when booking, looking at reviews, and this one stood out for its excellent value for money, balancing both price and amenities. It certainly met my expectations, and I had a great stay overall.

The only minor disappointment was accidentally leaving an umbrella behind upon check-out. Unfortunately, no one from the hotel contacted me afterward to ask if I wanted it returned. 🙄
