Fortunately they booked us into a brand newly renovated room. Room smells spanky new, located is great for us as we can easily catch different buses to different corners of Kyoto to visit the major sites. And a beautiful authentic temple beside the hotel

There is no mirror that we found in the room outside of the bathroom, there is also a window that we couldn’t see a way of blocking out light (no curtain).
