Kyoto, 13 higashisannocho, Higashikujo, Minami (60 min from centre) 🧭 Map
Extremely good breakfast buffet spread and sufficient varieties for vegetarian travellers at JPY1,980 after tax.. 2nd floor onzen opening hours are long enough to accommodate guests’ travelling plans/schedules (6am to 9am & 4pm to 1am).Great location and hassle free self check in and check out process. Room is small but comfortable. Only fall short in terms of amenities. Only very basic standard items...
Service was good. The hotel comes with onsen and there are many amenities available at the lobby. The best part of the hotel is the location. You can’t get any closer to the train station. Love it!
We took the bus from Osaka Kansai Airport, and it dropped us off right across from the hotel, which was incredibly convenient. The hotel has an main building and a new annex. The new annex has a free public bath on the second floor; you need your room key to enter, and women also have an additional code. After a day of exploring, the public bath was our favorite place to relax every evening. The lobby...
I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights in February and was very satisfied with how clean and quiet it was! I booked another night this time. I also went to the hotel's public bath at night, which was very relaxing. I'll definitely choose to stay here again next time. It's conveniently located on Hachijo Street, right by Kyoto Station, making it super easy to get around by JR, subway, or bus.
The hotel is conveniently located right by Kyoto Station, very close by, with two convenience stores downstairs. Transportation is a breeze.
The front desk service was excellent; both luggage storage and check-in went smoothly. Some front desk staff can speak Chinese.
The room size is decent. My 28-inch suitcase, when fully opened in the entrance hallway, left no room to walk. However, the room facilities...
Took longer time for the check-in process. I have luggage transfer from Tokyo to the hotel. The claiming luggage processed was not smooth. The staff mislook number on her lists and said it was not our luggage but the tag on the bag exactly shows my name haha. Luckily still got my luggage. Overall the room size is okay, consider spacious. Nearby Kyoto Station 😊.

Kyoto, 503-1 Zaimokucho Shimogyo-ku (60 min from centre) 🧭 Map
Service and facilities were excellent. The morning buffet had a large variety of food. And the nightly ramen was a thoughtful touch to the whole onsen.
Everything was wonderful, from the service to the overall environment. The staff were attentive and the experience was very enjoyable.
The only feedback I have would be regarding the robe provided for the onsen, which felt a bit too small. It would be great if guests could be asked for their sizes beforehand to ensure a better fit.
Additionally, while the room itself was comfortable and well-appointed...
This was probably the best hotel I stayed at in Japan. It felt incredibly clean — guests must remove their shoes at the entrance and store them in the shoe cabinets, so everyone walks around in socks.
Breakfast was impressive, with a wide selection of Japanese and Western dishes and even matcha latte. The onsen was outstanding: there were at least four pools, so it never felt crowded, plenty of shower...
Super good service and provide great food and drinks in different places and periods
The room is so comfortable
This is a large onsen hotel, not far from JR Kyoto Station, with plenty of dining options nearby, making it very convenient. Upon entering, you need to take off your shoes and store them. The lobby has a free self-service coffee machine where you can get hot tea/coffee. The front desk offers multilingual service, so you can communicate any additional needs. The onsen (hot spring bath) area is communal...
This place is just amazing. Good foods, location and friendly staffs. Wonderful onsen, perfect supper etc. We will definitely revisit!

Kyoto, 〒601-8002 Kyoto, Minami Ward, Higashikujo Kamitonodacho, 44-1 (60 min from centre) 🧭 Map
The hotel boasts an excellent location right by the main Kyoto Station. The facilities are great, and the service is top-notch. The Japanese breakfast is a unique highlight.
The breakfast was great, and the location was convenient for getting around. Plus, the price wasn't too steep.
The location is incredibly convenient, right next to Kyoto Station. It's just a few minutes' walk to the station, which makes getting to tourist spots super easy. You can catch a bus nearby directly to Kiyomizu-dera Temple and Sanjusangen-do Temple. Plus, the room was surprisingly spacious – much better than hotel rooms in Tokyo!
Decided to visit Kyoto with my parents last minute, and the price for this hotel was quite good for a last-minute booking. It's very close to Kyoto Station, just a 5-minute walk. Plus, it's near the airport limousine bus stop, which was super convenient for our departure; we took the bus directly to Osaka Itami Airport and arrived in just 50 minutes. Check-in was done via a machine, which was very...
The location is super convenient, right near Kyoto Station, making it easy to get around. The breakfast was also excellent.
This was my second stay, and compared to last March, the housekeeping was a bit lacking. A small clump of trash in the bathroom was still there from the first day until I checked out. Also, I felt the soundproofing was worse; every morning at 8 am, the cleaning cart outside my room made quite a racket. The location is super convenient, just a 5-minute walk to the airport bus, 7 minutes to Kyoto Station...

Excellent location, right in the heart of the shopping district, and convenient for visiting all the attractions. Although the room was small, it was clean and tidy. The bathroom deserves a special mention – coming back each day for a bath was a real treat!
This is my second stay at Hotel Forza Kyoto. The location right in Kawaramachi is super convenient for shopping and dining. My first stay, I had a room facing the street which was a bit noisy. This time, I got an inner room which was quiet, but I did miss out on the view.
Location is like a 10-15min walk from station. There are STAIRS, no lift or elevator so it’s a pain if have a large and heavy suitcase! When I arrived at the lobby, I actually wasn’t sure whether it was the reception because it looked more like a counter at a large restaurant. The reception staff didn’t really dress like a reception staff. She was just wearing a very casual looking striped top like...
Clean hotel at good location with delicious breakfast, nothing more you need to ask for ;-)
Water is only given 2 bottles per day.
However there is a free sake daily.
Free coffee unlimited.
Location is just very near nishiki market.
The room was very clean, and the location was convenient. I loved the self-check-in and check-out options, which are great for introverts. Plus, there's a free cup of sake and coffee in the lobby every day! The only downside was that my room faced the street and was a bit noisy. Still, I'd choose this hotel again next time.

The hotel’s location is excellent, situated right above Kyoto Station, which makes traveling anywhere incredibly convenient. Even though it’s close to the railway, the room was surprisingly quiet due to the double-glass windows. A very comfortable and hassle-free stay in Kyoto.
Fantastic hotel stay at Kintetsu Hotel. My family enjoyed the stay very much. Room and amenities are good.Excellent breakfast with choice of local and western menu
Near to train stations convenient and comfortable. Lots of eateries and shopping within a short distance.
Very close to kyoto station you can go many place near hotel,
It's our first time staying here and we really love the hotel location. Apart from it took us a while to find the entrance coz we missed it the first time and went back down the escalator near the Starbucks than it's on the right side. Just look out for the signage. There were so many things to explore around the hotel and if we walked up towards the Kyoto teamlab there's a couple of halal food. We...
Great hotel! Literally just beside the train station and tracks. My room faces the train station and tracks. You can see the people and train up close! 😁

The hotel was quite okay & the location was good as it was near stations.
We came to Kyoto for three nights and checked into this wonderful hotel. It's within walking distance of a very large and bustling train station filled with shops, perfect for buying souvenirs, for example! There's also a shopping mall near the hotel, though we never made it there.
We really liked the hotel itself; it's clean, cozy, and offers good service. The breakfasts are delicious and varied...
hallways smelt of smoke a bit. would stay here again, staff were nice and room was cozy.
very clean, friendly staffs and great breakfast. very closed to Aeon mall Kyoto and metro&bus station.
About a 10min walk from Kyoto Station. Room for one in the main building was the standard business hotel (Bed, table/desk, bathroom). Also has a side building/annex but not sure of the rooms there. Has a restaurant and a large bathing place as well.

The hotel lobby is big and bright. The hotel offers tea bags and toiletries at the lobby for you to take to your room. The hotel staff are friendly and professional. The location of the hotel is very convenient. It is next to the Kyoto JR train station.
Excellent location. Easy to find and get around from hotel. Warm reception and staff. Clean room. Will return again :)
Even though it's quite old, the service is excellent and very professional. The location is also good. I stayed for 2 or 3 nights, and overall it was decent 😌.
Facilities: Average
Cleanliness: Good
Ambiance: Okay
Service: Excellent
Old hotel, still using manual key but good enough and clean. Room is big enough for luggages to open and store. Location is superb across the Kyoto Station next to Kyoto Tower. The only minor thing to criticize is the aircon not that cold but still decent.
The rooms were decent, clean, and the breakfast offered a wide variety of choices. The location is excellent, right across the street from Kyoto Station, making dining and shopping incredibly convenient. The only downside was parking; getting into the garage was a bit of a hassle as we had to wait for a lobby attendant to operate the elevator every time.

We enjoyed our stay here with no issues. They are very nice and accommodating tomorrow stays. They leave a bag on your door every day with a fresh bath towel, coffee and cup for the coffee maker; and you can use that bag to leave your used towel items to put outside your door for them to pick up. I think that is a great system.
The room was cozy and just enjoy for my husband and I. He especially...
Likes:
- Excellent location in Gion; right by the Gion bus stop; lots of places to eat/shop; a few steps away from the Yasaka Shrine and other landmarks
- They give cute little things like a foldable comb and a nice wash towel (which I never got in any other hotel)
- There's a press for pants on every floor
- Water is replenished daily
- Coffee is Starbucks Dolce pods
- Comfy beds and nice pillows...
One of the better APA hotels we have stayed at. We were originally in a smoking room. But they were able to switch us to a non-smoking room. We were very pleased with the rest of our stay there. Great location all in all and close to everything in the area.
Staff were amazing, amenities are great, location is FANTASTIC!
2 nights stay with a toddler.
I gave it 3 stars because of its great location, price, and the staff (really helpful and kind).
I would’ve rated it less otherwise.
The beds and pillows were so uncomfortable,
And room really small.
Honestly I don’t recommend it if you have kids.
It’s OK otherwise but only for a short stay.
Great location, good price, quiet. In need of little refresh but did the job. I would recommand if on budget in the city.

Despite being away from the city they charge for parking and also despite being a platinum elite member no benefits extended. They were pretty stuck about everything and I did not enjoy the lack of care. We celebrated my wife’s 50th birthday there and they were aware and the gift that was kept in the room was 2 sachets of bath salt. Something really needs to be done in terms of service.
This hotel stay was quite bizarre from start to finish. First off, because we booked during maple leaf season, the price was in the four figures, but neither the service nor the facilities met the standards one would expect for that price point or for a 5-star hotel, as some reviews claimed. The hotel's location is actually quite convenient; although it's a bit far out, it's very close to the subway...
The location is quiet, the hotel environment is excellent, and the service is very professional. The rooms are spacious with great views, and opening the window lets in fresh air. The welcome gift was a pleasant surprise. The only downside was the high price due to the holiday season.
The environment here is great, very tidy and clean. The breakfast was delicious, and the location is super convenient for visiting nearby temples. Getting around by subway is also very easy. Overall, the hotel felt very quiet and comfortable.
Excellent! The room was very spacious and clean. The front desk service was also great. This was the most satisfying stay during my trip to Japan.
They upgraded us to a massive suite, which was a pleasant surprise and a little unexpected 😀. The hotel itself has good facilities and service. It's a bit far from Kyoto's main attractions, and dining options nearby aren't very convenient. The luggage delivery service to Kyoto Station was very thoughtful (and inexpensive).

The hotel had a great feel throughout, and they offered complimentary iced water, which was a nice touch. However, the price was quite high during my stay, and then it dropped by half right after I checked out. That left me feeling like I didn't get the best value for money, but despite that, the hotel itself is excellent.
The Karasuma subway line is super close, making it incredibly convenient to get to Kyoto Station. There's a proper supermarket nearby, not just a convenience store, and a KAMO shop. It's also not far to walk to the lively Kawaramachi Sanjo area. The room has a window that opens, and there's free water available. The location is quiet yet central, ensuring a comfortable night's sleep. Kyoto Imperial...
The room was very spacious, and the location was excellent. Everything was within walking distance, including convenience stores and a nearby train station.
Nice area to with a lot of facilities… The hotel has a self laundry mate that helps a lot. Overall it was a nice experience stay with them.
I booked for two days, and the hotel was great. The front desk upgraded my room, and it's close to the subway station, which makes getting around super convenient. The hotel offers comprehensive services; I could get toiletries downstairs. There's even a scale, which is handy for when you head home. Everything was good. I've attached some photos of the surroundings – hope they make you want to visit...
The hotel offers complimentary skincare products on the first floor. However, the room facilities are a bit old, and not being able to open the window made it a bit stuffy. The environment is nice, and public transportation is right outside, making shopping convenient. There are plenty of food stalls and various duty-free shops nearby. The front desk service was excellent! The only downside is that it's a bit pricey. 😄
Convenient location, has a bus stop just a few steps away and 24/7 supermarket
The room is small but well-equipped. The lobby downstairs has a cute little landscape display. There's a bus stop and a convenience store right downstairs, and a Life supermarket across the street, which is very convenient.
The room was very clean, compact as always, and the bathroom had a bathtub 🛁. The location is excellent; the bus stop downstairs goes to all the main attractions. Across the street, Xidong Cafeteria is a self-service restaurant, perfect for breakfast.
The room was definitely small, and the toilet remote wasn't working. The first day's cleaning was thorough, but it seemed like a different person cleaned on the second day as it was quite sloppy. There's a microwave in the lobby, and the hotel's location is excellent – right next to a bus stop, making it convenient to get anywhere.
Stayed for one night. The location is excellent, just a 5-minute walk from the subway station, with plenty of shops, large and small supermarkets, and restaurants nearby. The room was a bit small, and there was a slight odor in the bathroom.

The hotel isn't in the best location, but for the price, it's acceptable. The cleanliness could be better, but again, for this price, you can't expect too much.
This is great place to stay in Kyoto. We walked to see the beautiful spot. Great breakfast!
Very good experience (tourism trip). The location is quite good, close to the metro line, a lot of bus lines near, and a lot of attractions that can be reached by walk. Good breakfast buffet (with menu different every day of the week), friendly staff.

I found this hotel after I searched for hotel that very convenient for my parents and location of this hotel was incredible. Very large hotel with large room too. Price was also valuable for size and location. They have lot of restaurants nearby.
Always a great stay! The location is super convenient, making it easy to get anywhere. There's a Starbucks right outside the hotel, which was perfect for a hot latte on a cold day – very nice. The room, though small, was perfectly adequate for one person. The next morning, I woke up to snow and went to a coffee shop across the street for breakfast. Good overall, however a few bits with the room. There is no mirror that we found in the room outside of the bathroom, there is also a window that we couldn’t see a way of blocking out light (no curtain). The hotel was also quite loud overnight, but probably expected due to the location. Not far at all from the station which is really handy. Good value for money.
The staff went above and beyond to help us. We were shocked by the lengths they went to ensure orur comfortability. I would have expected this kind of service from a 5 star hotel. Big shoutout to the staff working in nightshift 5th November. He helped with so many questions. Thanks again and highly recommended.
Basic hotel but the service and cleanliness of this hotel is beyond basic. The staff are extremely friendly and attentive. The hotel looks newly renovated and well-maintained.
