Took longer time for the check-in process. I have luggage transfer from Tokyo to the hotel. The claiming luggage processed was not smooth. The hotel meets all the standards of a star-rated hotel, but it's very discreet. We had a hard time finding it at night, even with navigation, because the dim hotel sign was hidden behind some bamboo.

It’s definitely the most remarkable New Year’s Eve experience we ever had, from the city luggage service, shuttle bus to the trail within the hotel. Food wasn’t just good it’s great we will come back and stay longer next time !

It was an amazing stay. The onsen is clean and spacious. Rooms are spacious too for Japan. The lighting is on point. Water pressure in the shower is great and loved the scent of their hotel bath gels and shampoo. There are water filters to refill water and small washers/dryers at several floors.

The hotel's location is fantastic! The design is also very modern and forward-thinking. This was my third stay, and I was a bit disappointed. When I entered the room, there was a strong body odor that various measures couldn't fix. I had to sleep with a mask on, and it only got better after two days of ventilation. When I went down to the front desk to discuss it, the staff seemed a little impatient. The room was smaller than expected but still in a good size. I spent some time on the balcony and really enjoyed it. However, it became quite dark at night as there was no light there. The environment is very good. Most of the service staff are Southeast Asians. Their service is not as meticulous as that of the Japanese, but it is also very good.

The hotel is nice. However, the weather was not so good. The hotel is not too far from Kyoto station but not close to any major attractions by walking.  Terrence is comfortable with a nice view over the garden and Japanese not call amenities. Maiko performance are available on Tuesdays and Sundays. Food is good. 

I was very pleased with the hotel room design, comfort and space. The parking is first come first serve even though I had requested for it earlier so I had to park elsewhere for the first few nights. Location is excellent. Staff even found my discarded SIM card and were honest to callback and inform me about it.

I chose this hotel because they mentioned to have parking spot however it was very disappointed. Everyday you have to go somewhere else to park and pay a very high fee. The reception is not very helpful and feel very frustrated. The hot spring is dirty and packed with people.

The decor is very stylish, but the bedding isn't great. The 'super king size bed' is actually two beds pushed together, and there's a big gap in the middle. We had to squeeze with our child on one side, which was really cramped. Plus, the bedding was too soft and offered no support, leaving me with a sore back for all three days of our stay.
