Great location right across the main train station. Right next to AEON mall for any food/shopping. Highly recommended.

The hotel is located right opposite to the railway station, made it very convenient to go anywhere in town. There are lots of restaurants and convenience stores nearby. Aeon is about the corner. The room is very clean and the beds are so comfortable. The check-in starts at 2 pm with the machine, also very fast and easy.

Good new room on the 10th floor. Had a view of the trains but it wasn't noisy at all.

We stayed at Miyako and it was very convenient as it was next to Aeon Mall (10 minutes away you can walk to Avanti Mall) and the Kyoto Station (just cross the road)- near exit 6. Can see the JR train from our bedroom window. The room was spacious , bed and pillow was very comfortable. There was also a sofa & small table for us to have meals. Overall a very pleasant stay and will definitely stay again...

The hotel is next to Kyoto station get out for Hachiacho exit walk towards right side cross the red light and u find the hotel in the front . There is todoji temple at walking distance and Aeon mall next to the hotel .value for money .

It was a nice hotel to stay in though opened many years, well equipped. Free parking and free shuttle to and from hotel to Kyoto train station. Enjoyed the top floor rotating dining for breakfast great experience indeed.

It is a Famous hotel in Kyoto, which is under a 90 years history hotel group Rihga. Got shuttle bus to pick up and departure to Kyoto Station within the operation time is the best experience. I stay 3nights here and everything is good and we are comfortable staying here.

The room itself was fine and comfortable enough despite the shower head not actually being able to spray you instead of the wall, but the main issue I had was the check in check out time and process. As soon as you arrive they delight in telling you that check in is only at 3pm. They're almost excited to tell you that. Then to add insult to injury, they say that checkout is 10am. So they need 5 hours...

This is a business hotel that is very close to the Kyoto station. Great for first timers to Kyoto who wants to take some time to get used to Kyoto while staying in a convenient location. There are smoking rooms too though the smoke smell seems to have permeated through the carpets so it smells of smoke all the time

This hotel is in a great location. I traveled from Osaka to Kyoto, and this hotel was literally across the street from Kyoto Station, the primary transportation hub for buses and trains. Hotel looks nice and almost luxurious. The room is small but looks very good. The problem with this hotel is that if you are allergic to dust like me, you gonna have a hard time. Also bathroom is small like any other hotel here but the toilets position can be very difficult. Also the A/C didn't work, it was just a heater. And when the room gets hot the only option is to open the window but it opens...

Nice hotel with polite personnel and good position. Only issues are the small rooms with little place for the luggages, and non-swiveling chair, which was quite annoying to use in conjunction with the small table. Nice onsen on the top floor, quiet area, and internal laundry, even if often busy.

I think this place is one of the older APA hotels in the city. In our walking around the city I think I saw two newer ones. Nonetheless, this place looked well kept on the inside. IT WAS GREAT. location wise, it is abit off city centre but the amenities in the hotel made up for it.

Location is a bit of a walk from Kyoto station but you can take the public bus, it's around 2 or 3 stops. One of the best hotels we visited in Japan! Truly amazing experience. All visitors walk without shoes in the hotel but the floor was absolutely clean and nice. The hotel was very near JR Kyoto station maybe about 5 mins walk. Opposite is Don Quitoe which made it easier to buy things. We loved the separation of the toilet and shower area and the shower area is big and comes with deep bathtub. The room is also quite spacious. I can fully open my luggage and still have space to move around. The buffet breakfast is amazing as there are many choices to choose...

This hotel is close to train station.  I walked there in 15 mins.   The room is small but bring clean and the price is  nice.

What a beautiful hotel! The onsen provided was nice enough but it can get noisy due to the tourists. It is not the most convenient location but the staff are good in advising how to best get around. LUUP station right outside the hotel is helpful!

Room size was small but adequate. Hotel is near to Nishiki Market, subway station and convenience store. Easy to get around.

Excellent services. The hotel has a hot spring bath which is free to hotel guests. After the bath, one can stay in the relaxation lounge which has good view of the city skyline. It offers complementary soft drinks and beer.

As usual, Hotel Monterey Kyoto provided superior service. My room was clean and spacious and I enjoyed the ocha and coffee provided. The water from the tap is not good though, so be sure to buy bottled water to drink and to make hot drinks. Access to bus and subway is excellent making this my only place to stay when I go to Kyoto.

Very convenient location of the hotel, close to Kyoto train station, bus stop. The rooms are comfortable, there is a small wardrobe, a shelf by the bed, a small table. Next to the bed is a USB socket for charging a smartphone. Cleaning, clean towels and a set of home clothes (sweatshirt and trousers) every day. Excellent breakfasts, a large selection of delicious Japanese and European dishes.

very convenient location near Kyoto station. Clean, new and big Triple room. Twin rooms are good enough too. Left luggage facilities and they hold luggage before check-in. Connected to 7-eleven. Wifi sometimes disconnects for family, but works well for me. Have to do self check-in and self checkout which can be tedious. Will book again if visiting Kyoto.

The location was perfect, right next to Kyoto Station. The room was new, spacious, and very comfortable. However, service was lacking—check-in/out was via an unfriendly self-service machine, and our request for extra pillows was ignored. We had to collect them ourselves in plastic bags from reception. 2 nights stay with a toddler. I gave it 3 stars because of its great location, price, and the staff (really helpful and kind). I would’ve rated it less otherwise. The hotel is very close to metro station, just 5min walk. Quite quiet at the area around but it is walking distance from the centre of Osaka for shops and restaurants. The room is small but still large enough to open 2 big luggages.

very close to the subway station, breakfast in the hot spring are both awesome. Double bed setting a very friendly to family trip with children. More importantly they don't charge extra for children sleeping with parents, why you only need to pay 1,000 yen for each children's breakfast, overall speaking, great experience in Kyoto.

The hotel was clean and great value for money. There was a free diy fairy-floss machine in the lobby one evening and the kids loved it. We needed to forward our luggages to the next hotel and the front desk was very efficient in helping get it done. Perfect location! It’s close to the main train station. The heated pool was great after a day of walking. The amenities were available to all guests at their own discretion. However the use of the room iPad posed a language miscommunication with regards to housekeeping. Otherwise it was all good as the staff were helpful and hospitable.

convenient shuttle service to Kyoto station, I took the shuttle with 2 large suitcases to Kyoto station then travel directly to Kansai airport to return home.

Hotels in Japan are always nice, but this is awesome! We will come back again!
