I loved this place. Everythig nwas convenient, cheap but oh so classy. Everything was provided in the public restroom from toothbrushes to hairproducts and even shaving utilitites. The capsule itself was also very comfortable and easy to sleep in. The Onsen (spa) was a great addition, and it was just a magical stay. In many ways better than getting a hotel room. Oh, but if you are shy like me, I wouldn...
The location is ideally, right in the center of the city and close to metro station. The common area, the bathroom and caspsule beds were very clean.. perfect for solo travellers
Our stay at this hotel was excellent, so much so that we booked 4 more nights at the sister hotel in Tokyo. The staff were phenomenal, we were provided with more toiletries than I’ve ever seen before (toothbrush, toothpaste, mouthwash, Q-tips, pajamas, hair gels and products, lotion, soap, shampoo, body wash, slippers, floss, razors, bottled water, earplugs… the list goes on. The food provided for...
Perfect place to stay in Kyoto, you are close from everything, the capsules are clean so are the bathrooms. The complementary breakfast, hot drinks, soda and a full range of different alcool are a bonus. The front office staff did not speak much English but they did their hardest to try. They also have a translating voice machine which is just magical.
First time in a capsule hotel and I just loved it. Everything is made to let you enjoy your stay. Bathrooms are clean (with a lot of amenities displayed), bed is so comfy with charger cable, earplugs, locker, TV ect .. If you forgot something, they’ll have it for sure and for free. The staff is very friendly and take the time to explain you everything. My only comment is that the team should translate...
I absolutely loved my stay! Everything was super clean and efficient! I will always stay at capsule hotels from now on, and when in Kyoto, Anshin Oyado will be my go to capsule hotel!

Highly recommend. The location is perfect, right in the middle of a very animated street and close to bus stations. The beds are confortable and clean, as well as the amenities.
Great location and friendly service. One small luggage will fit under the bed and you can put backpacks and bags on the top rack inside your sleeping space. Free beer everyday from 5:30-6:30pm in the common area is a plus!
It is a perfect place to stay if you are traveling on a budget. It was very clean and smelled good. The sleeping pod was very comfortable. I would definitely choose here again when I come to Kyoto in the future.
Bed was very comfortable and the area was very quiet. Added bonus was having a laundry on the level to dry my clothes as while I was there it was very heavy rain so I was soaked.
Best hostel including incredibly comfortable bed and well designed lounge. The appliances are from balmuda and they offer free beers and coffee. It definitely surpassed my expectations.
Good location Good zone for rest Administration is good too It is not convinient place for sleeping -noisy

Best place to stay. The room is big, but the bathroom is not inside.
Check-in time ends too early and you can't go out at night
For the price its a good deal. However, note that the room is really small. We had to open our suitcases on the table to save space.
The space is enough to open two suitcases. It's OK. The public space is large and there are free instant noodles and popsicles to eat at night There is a dedicated luggage storage area where you can lock your own luggage
The hostel is not bad in principle, but the breakfasts are nothing special, they give you a hot dog and a bun with mayonnaise, there was hair on the bed, the pillows were dented, the washbasin in the room is very small and uncomfortable, and the noise is very strong, you can hear everyone talking and walking along the corridor. There are also advantages, they also give you free noodles and ice cream...
It was a little difficult that there was no bathroom in the room, but there was a sink, so it was somewhat comfortable, and the bed was wide, so it was really nice! The room and shower facilities were clean, so I was satisfied with the accommodation. The quick turnaround area, baggage storage, and shower facilities are all on the basement floor. There is a cafe-like space on the first floor that serves...

super comfy beds, clean bathrooms and amazing shower
There are a number of low-rated reviews, but I'm very satisfied and my favorite inn. If everyone is so nervous, don't stay at a hotel in the first place, but pay for it and stay at a high-priced hotel directly connected to Kyoto Station. How about requesting more service than the price even if you stay at a cheap price? The facility is new and clean. The interior is fashionable. The clerk is also friendly...
English speaking Staff, Guitar and Ukulele at the bottom floor. One free big towel and a nice tree house looking bunk bed. Easy and direct explanations. Also, it looks really modern. I got the bunk beds for 1800yen in total. Will do again if I need a place. I LOVE IT.
Simply great! Kind and helpful staffs and nicely designed and perfect facilities. Moreover, it’s close to the main Kyoto station. Definitely recommended 🙌🏻🙌🏻.

A very nice hostel. I would definitely recommend it.
Good location. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Nice common area. Free tea and coffee, free umbrellas to use. Well equipped kitchen. Everything is clean and organised. I would definitely stay again.
Arrived at 10 which still not the time for check in, but the staff understand my situation and very nicely let me check in earlier and bring me to my room, so i dont have to rush and check in on 3 pm. Really appreciate theres lots of restrooms, the only problem is the room is a bit muggy. Other than that, its really nice
it’s so convenient to stay. I hope it’s more comfortable separate shared bathroom for men and women.
good service. Clean and tidy. Bed wasn’t that big. For 2 people so so in a bed

A capsule hotel and sauna located along Shijo Street. This time, I only used the sauna. The sauna front desk is on the 6th floor, the lockers are large, and the inside of the building is very spacious and clean. A large-scale renovation was completed a few years ago, and in addition to the large sauna, there is also a sauna on the rooftop, and there is also plenty of outdoor bathing space. The jacuzzi...
the onsen, spa and sauna is like the best i experience in kyoto man. very comfortable and relaxing. the breakfast was very good with alot of different varieties everyday.
Great location, love the spa option. Lots of rules. If you have tattoos you can cover it with bandage's
Just a few minutes walk from Gion-Shijo station and not that far from the shopping streets. Great service and location, however, was kinda disappointed with the capsule as I felt stuffy inside and ventilation weren't that great. I do love the sauna though, there's the roof sauna and hot spring. Perhaps the sauna could indicate more English posters to educate the tourists on proper sauna etiquette
Honestly the best capsule hotel I've seen so far! The perfect location, very friendly staff, clean rooms, etc. The free sauna use is amazing, there are various kinds of sauna and baths that you can enjoy and even massages that aren't expensive.
Staying the Capsule for Men here for twice and I still like to come back again. The Capsule hotel was amazing, they provide very good buffet breakfast (Japanese & Western). Onsen, hot & cold bath, sauna room was super nice which located at the top floor & rooftop (the onsen water will change to medicine or spices everyday). We stayed at Khaosan for a week. It is very good bang for your buck. The beds are comfortable with an individual curtain. The room AC kept the room cool even on the 5th floor. Each bed also comes with a locker within the room. The bathrooms and showers are clean. You can hang your laundry to dry on the rooftop. The shared kitchen/lounge is a great place to cook/eat/relax. Great place, exactly how I remembered it back in 2016. The staff is incredibly friendly. Good location and close to the station. The place was clean and the hallways were quite. I will definitely stay here again
Great area, we walked along the river and it was very very nice. spacious kitchen and common area! Rooms are dark and dated. The wall paper is atrocious. So it isn't a perfect place. But if you are not picky like me, you should be able to enjoy it reasonably well.
Great hostel. Friendly helpful service. Nice and clean. Tidy facilities, including full sized kitchen, and laundry. Rooftop area has nice views. Great locatiom near Gion and the river. Would love to stay here again.
The location is close to the subway and a couple of convenience stores. There's a nice restaurant next door and a bath house nearby. There's a shared shower, but they do have a women only shower on the third floor. You can walk to the Gion district easily. The staff speaks excellent English.

Our room was clean and spacious. common area was very nice and all the necessary appliances could be found there.
The personal was fantastic and agradable even after the stay.
Decent hostel but not worth the cost. Pros: 1. Very close to metro station. 2. Provides Tea/coffee and basic bread. 3. Has kitchen and cooking facilities for guests. 4. Clean washroom. Cons: 1. Average quality room. 2. Uncomfortable beds. 3. Very slow internet, wifi not working properly.
Very nice hotel, pretty cheap. Breakfast consists of different sorts of toast with a small selection of jam with butter on the side. As for drinks at breakfast there is coffee, matcha and cold water. Since it's free don't expect anything fancy. By far one of the best hostels I've stayed in - the cleanliness and interior was reminiscent of a 4-star hotel! Location was great, staff were friendly, and absolutely no complaints. It was definitely a highlight on my first trip to Japan late 2019.
Facilities are good but need improvement, albeit that might not be easy. We arrived here from a long holiday, so we had quite some luggage. The standard rooms are really and really small. 7.5 m2 for 2 people with double bed; you do the math yourself. Of course, I should have known during the booking but it isn't told really explicitly unless you go to details of the room. Moreover, they should add...

Convenient transportation, there is a bar downstairs, the room is clean, and the luggage storage fee for the next day is 300 yen. The front desk is very small and is together with the bar on the first floor. Although there is a bar downstairs, the room is not noisy at all. It is a good experience. Very friendly staff and lovely atmosphere. Stylish, super clean, lovely guest house. Outstanding service.
It was extremely clean, literally spotless! The lounge area was cozy if you just wanted to chill somewhere other than your room and they even had desks in case people need to get work done. The location is great, if you walk about 15 mins you’re already in the fun/central area of Kyoto and it’s incredibly well connected with public transport if you want to go visit famous landmarks in Kyoto.
I live in Kyoto, but I stopped here for lunch (I originally came to pick up a PiPPA rental bicycle) and was really pleased by the quality of the lunch especially for the reasonable price. The ingredients seemed really fresh, for example they use freshly-shaved katsuo flakes. It's in a convenient location and is comfortable and well-ventilated. I'll definitely stop by again next time I'm in the area
Best place to stay if you are in Kyoto. It has a great location, amazing staff and the rooms are really spacious. The breakfast was really fulfilling. They also have different services available like rent a bike. The staff will help you out with a lot of things.
Our stay in Kyoto was vastly improved by the beautiful and multi-talented staff at Niniroom. They had a recommendation for every dinner, and were able to guide us to great tourist spots. My partner Sophie and I loved the breakfast (which is a bargain) and having chats with everyone there. We will definitely be back! Love from Adelaide, Australia.
I cannot say enough nice things about this hostel! All of the staff are incredibly kind and fun. The beds are traditional Japanese futons which are great, they have yoga on Sunday’s. The hotel was great, with the nice authentic rooms and common spaces. Sleeping on the futon was actually pretty comfortable, so we enjoyed it a lot! But it would be better if some accessories (like towels and toothbrushes) were included in the price in advance, so we wouldn’t have to bother counting how much we need to give extra while checking out.
Do not go there for the location, service but for the experience of an authentic one century old Japanese. Priceless!
This is an old-fashioned Japan house, so staying in it was interesting. You also can get free rice porridge in the morning ❤️
Very chill and comfortable stay, WiFi can be a little slow at times and you have to pay for your towels etc, other than that the staffs are all super friendly, speaks good English too.
1 km from Kyoto Station, have to check in by self. Just 1 minutes walk to bus station and convenience store.
We enjoyed the room and the house which is really easily accessible from Kyoto train station (10min by bus). I especially appreciated the suggestions of visits around the hotel, and the public bath recommanded, which I did try! I recommand also the park. The environment is very nice. A comfortable place to live away from the city. There are various room types to choose from. The facilities are very complete. The breakfast is great. There is a bus nearby.
The environment and surrounding makes you feel super comfortable. Sadly, I only stay 1 night but will definitely come back on my next trip to Kyoto, Thanks…
A very cost-effective youth hostel, very large, with a good environment, very quiet location in the suburbs, and high cost-effectiveness
It is just like an ideal society, where everyone uses public facilities with respect, and the facilities are still neatly organized and clean after use. It is a distance away from the city, suitable for tourists who come to Kyoto for a short stay and don't rush to the attractions. I will choose it again if I come to Kyoto alone next time.
The environment is very good, and it is cheap. The food in the cafeteria is also very good.

Not adding any pics as there are more than enough already. This place was AMAZING! Location was perfectly situated close to the heart of all things ancient Japan; which is what the Gion region is popular for. This is a dormitory-style guesthouse next to Kyoto University, not a youth hostel, which is also its charm in my opinion. Living here requires consideration for others and certain climbing skills. In short, whether the accommodation is good or not depends mainly on the roommate, which is a matter of luck and probability. The store itself has done its best.
Clean and nice hostel in a quiet area. A bit far from the center, but there is a metro station nearby. Also nearby is a supermarket. I liked the room for 4 guests and the spacious common area. Showers and toilets are in good condition.

The toilet and bathroom are separated, making it convenient for multiple people to live in the same room. It was OK for the three of us to sleep, but if we had more suitcases, it might be a bit troublesome to pack.
