Kyoto, Nakagyo-ku Ichinofunairi-cho 537-4, rayon Nakagyo, 604-8558 Kioto, Prefektura Kioto, Yaponiya (2 km from centre) 🧭 Map
The location is convenient, and the hotel staff are warm and thoughtful. I really liked it and will definitely come again next time! (The previous review was already very detailed, so I'm just leaving a quick comment as I saw a pending review here. I'll definitely be back next time I visit Kyoto!)
Traveling to Kyoto with my family, choosing to stay here was definitely the right decision. The hotel offers a shuttle service to and from Kyoto Station, which is incredibly convenient. The buffet breakfast is on the 17th floor, offering lovely views of Higashiyama and the Kamo River. The breakfast spread is quite extensive and the quality is good.
Hotel Okura Kyoto was the most pleasant surprise of our entire trip. First off, you can walk directly into the hotel from the subway. After getting off the subway, you enter a shopping mall, and the walk from the mall to the hotel has a very upscale feel to it. The hotel staff were incredibly welcoming; we weren't sure how to get to the lobby for check-in from a shop in the mall, and a staff member...
We recommended this hotel to all kinds of travelers from nearby beautiful places and shopping areas spacious room, delicious meals and good services
Beautiful and very hospitality hotel
Top end hotel of all we tried while traveling around Japan. Large room, spacious bathroom, good quality beds and pillows. Convenient central Kyoto location, next to subway station and in close proximity to many local attractions. If you a keen runner, there is a beautiful run and walking route around the river and map is provided by hotel. Breakfast was reasonable prices with good verity of both...

The room facilities are relatively new. The hotel's 7th-floor courtyard is a nice place for a walk. Rooms facing inward overlook the courtyard, and with the window open, you can hear the sound of flowing water. The red leaves in autumn are absolutely beautiful.
The hotel has a pick-up point in Kyoto, and it's also a convenient 3-5 minute walk from Keage subway station, right next to Nanzen-ji Temple – a peaceful oasis amidst the bustle. The hotel facilities are excellent, and the rooms, renovated a few years ago, are well-maintained. Amenities are plentiful, with a thoughtful selection of various cups. You can access beautiful gardens directly from the hotel...
The hotel service was excellent, truly a luxury experience. It has a swimming pool, gym, and hot springs, all of which we thoroughly enjoyed during our two-day stay. A big plus is the free shuttle service to and from Kyoto Metro Station, which was incredibly convenient. The shuttle even makes free stops at attractions along the way, which was super handy. The hotel is also less than two kilometers...
The Junior Suite is great! The room is spacious with a fabulous countryside and temple view, the welcoming snacks and water are warm and sweet. Shuttle Bus service and Family Mart is convenient. Cake shop and Club Lounge offered wide variety of food and drinks. Overall it’s a pleasant stay, will definitely come back again. Hopefully can get a higher floor next time :) :) p.s As a shopaholic that...
queit location to enjoy the authenticity of kyoto. it has everything we need, a well equipped gym, good size indoor pool and a hotpring spa. breakfast is very good. we had a room with terrace overlooking the city. beautiful and elegant. will be back!
It’s definitely the most remarkable New Year’s Eve experience we ever had, from the city luggage service, shuttle bus to the trail within the hotel. Food wasn’t just good it’s great we will come back and stay longer next time !

It was a great location and the staffs were wonderful and please do try the breakfast. The food quality was spectacular.
I stayed here 10 years ago. The hotel looked exactly the same. It is a little bit on the old school side, but everything is clean and impeccable. The first day I arrived I had a stomach issue and the hotel was really kind and helped send fresh ginger tea up to my room and requested. They went out out of their way to find me fresh ginger. The second day I strained my back from lifting heavy luggage...
Great service, clean and tidy.
Spacious room and excellent service from everyone. Feels like living in a garden

The room met our expectations, and the location is great, right behind Sanjusangendo Temple.

Kyoto, 445-3 Myohoin Maekawa-cho (60 min from centre) 🧭 Map
Beautiful scenery, excellent location.
The hotel was pretty good overall. Its location is excellent, very close to Sanjusangendo Temple. The front desk staff, a lovely lady from China, was very thoughtful and helpful. The only minor drawback was that our room was quite a long walk from the elevator, which was a bit annoying.
This hotel is great in every season, except for the breakfast, which was a bit disappointing.
Facilities: Very good Cleanliness: Cleaned very well every day Ambience: Great location, I like the hotel design Service: Initially, the service was okay, but I felt a lack of responsibility. I forgot to pick up my child's allergy medicine when I left the hotel on Tuesday. They called and promised to ship it to Four Seasons Osaka the next day at the latest. They called on Thursday afternoon and were...
The environment is very good. Most of the service staff are Southeast Asians. Their service is not as meticulous as that of the Japanese, but it is also very good.
The hotel is nice. However, the weather was not so good. The hotel is not too far from Kyoto station but not close to any major attractions by walking. Terrence is comfortable with a nice view over the garden and Japanese not call amenities. Maiko performance are available on Tuesdays and Sundays. Food is good.

Nice environment and big room in Japan. Also, the staff is helpful
New hotel with very nice and new room.
The Duji restaurant is excellent!
The hotel's location is excellent, right across from Nijo Castle. The staff are quite friendly, but it feels like this might be Mitsui Fudosan's first foray into such a high-end luxury hotel, as the overall system operation seems a bit unrefined. In particular, one older gentleman at the Italian restaurant, who seemed to be from the head office, really dropped the ball on service. The hotel design...
An absolute must-stay for maximum indulgence and relaxation. Love the private onsen spa! It's a delightful stay with a marvelous location.
The staffs were really helpful and kind. Breakfast was good. Parking was easy with valley parking available. We did however got complaints when kids were being kids in the room. I didn’t think the kids were making excessive noise though. Overall good, but a bit pricy.

Very good hotel. Room a bit small as per the standard here. I can rate room as 4+ to 5 stars level. However, location is a bit poor. Quote a walking distance to the main attentions.
Newly opened hotel, close to Dongshan. The environment is absolutely superb, especially the garden view from inside. The service attitude is excellent. Highly recommend staying here, it offers good value for money. The room's overall decor is simple yet elegant.
We had a very comfortable stay during a short holiday. The hotel has a calm and high-quality atmosphere, and everything was clean, modern, and well maintained. Breakfast was excellent and clearly above average, especially the Japanese selection with wagyu shabu-shabu. The location is convenient while still being in a quiet area. Service was smooth and professional throughout. Would definitely stay...
The room is quite spacious, and the transportation is very convenient, with a subway station not far away. The front desk staff speaks fluent English, and there were quite a few Western guests during my stay. For the cherry blossom season, the value for money was pretty good. The room was relatively spacious compared to other Japanese hotels. Rooms facing the street can be a bit noisy late at night. Breakfast leans towards a Western style. It's very close to the subway, just a short walk to the Kamo River...

Absolutely great hotel with such a nice interiour design, very helpful and nice staff and great, spacious room. we even got a free room upgrade. breakfast was delicious and had a nice athmosphere. there is free coffee available in the lobby which is also a very nice extra. we fully enjoyed our stay here. location could not be better, many sightseeing spots in walkable distance and subway is just around...
The decor is very stylish, but the bedding isn't great. The 'super king size bed' is actually two beds pushed together, and there's a big gap in the middle. We had to squeeze with our child on one side, which was really cramped. Plus, the bedding was too soft and offered no support, leaving me with a sore back for all three days of our stay.
Stayed here for 3 nights. The hotel was aesthetically pleasing with its decoration. The welcome drink was pleasantly served as well. The staff was friendly and helpful with our checking in process. They also provide luggage transfer services for you. The room was done up nicely and the metro was just one traffic light away. Overall, we had a awesome stay there. We got to see snow on our 2nd day!

It’s so wonderful and natural view. Feeling relax and I love it.
Very good, I liked the hotel's atmosphere.
The service was great and the location was just perfect. I love everything about this hotel. Especially the thermal pool right outside the door.
The room was very spacious and comfortable, and the service was attentive. The in-room bathtub was also very comfortable, and the outdoor pool was a natural hot spring; unfortunately, I didn't bring my swimsuit to try it out. Every corner offered a beautiful view. The hotel is a tranquil oasis amidst the hustle and bustle. The rooms are cozy, and the service is impeccable. There was a Chinese-speaking staff member who was incredibly nice and helped us with our check-in. All the hotel staff were warm and polite; everything was just perfect. There's a cemetery nearby. I wonder if it's the war criminal graveyard mentioned on Xiaohongshu. Just thinking about it gives me the creeps.
Great location, great service.
**Facilities:** The hotel is relatively new and well-equipped. The amenities provided are the standard Le Labo products, as is customary with Park Hyatt. **Ambiance:** The setting is quite tranquil, and with few guests, it offers excellent privacy. However, the lighting at night is a bit dim, which can feel a little eerie. **Service:** Service was decent.
The room was spotless and well-equipped. Every corner is picture-perfect, and stepping out, you're right in the scenic area, making a leisurely stroll incredibly relaxing. I absolutely loved my stay here, and the service was excellent. The only slight disappointment was the breakfast; it felt rather basic. Overall it’s a very nice hotel. Centralized location.
For nearly 8,000 CNY a night, my high expectations were thoroughly dashed. 1. There was a noticeable difference in how the front desk treated foreign guests versus locals; during check-in, foreigners received an almost 'kneeling' level of deference. The hotel is small, and its only appeal comes from the scenery outside the teahouse. 2. The rooms are dated, minibar items were not complimentary, and...

I reserved my room through airbnb, so it went easy and smooth. Overall I love staying in this place, it offers many great benefits. The price is also affordable, good location, and complete amenities. The owner also responsive to our chat. Highly recommended.

The location was absolutely fabulous and close to the main part of Fukuoka. The room was extremely clean and even had a washing machine! The hotel is also across from a really delicious bread store, which I highly recommend!

The location is great, directly facing the Kamogawa River. There are many restaurants just outside. The service is also very good, and champagne was given as a gift. The service staff all speak good English and are very nice. The room is clean and large, very suitable for our family of three.

The hotel is in a great location, quiet in a busy area, and you can enjoy the view of Kamogawa River from your room. The hotel has complete facilities, most importantly, a washing machine and dryer, which makes washing clothes very convenient.

Amazing luxury hotel in the best possible location south of Pontocho and across the bridge from Gion. Thoroughly enjoyed the serene escape. The hotel's facilities seamlessly blend with the natural environment, making for a truly relaxing stay. The staff lived up to Aman's standards – proactive, warm, and always remembered guests' names. Both the Japanese omakase and the Western dinner, as well as breakfast, were of high quality. The private onsen at the spa was a highlight, especially during sunrise
This hotel, a secluded gem, is a complete contrast to the Tokyo Aman. It's perfect for introverts, with very few rooms and not many guests, making it ideal for unwinding. The hotel offers plenty of activities, and the views are absolutely stunning. Highly recommended.
The hotel service was exceptionally good. I left something behind, and they delivered it to my new hotel first thing in the morning the next day.
The hotel environment is beautiful and very zen, nestled within a forest. When you open the room curtains, you're greeted with a view of the woods. There are many activities to choose from at the hotel, and breakfast is incredibly rich and varied.
Aman Kyoto gave me a feeling of calm and tranquility. I received lovely little surprises like complimentary snacks and champagne from the hotel. The Japanese cuisine at Taka-an is definitely worth trying – it's exquisite and absolutely delicious.
The most beautiful secret garden, the whole vibe is quiet and meditative. Although the hotel isn't huge, it has a strong wild, mountaintop feel, and the air is incredibly fresh. I particularly recommend dinner at the Aman restaurant; each chef...

It's good. The room is great for taking photos. The scenery is great. There is a firefly show after dinner. However, the food is average. The main purpose of Kawashima cuisine is to eat the atmosphere. The price-performance ratio is not particularly high.
Environment: The environment is amazing. It is in the mountains of Kyoto. The scenery is so beautiful, with streams, mountains and flowing water. Service: Because it is a traditional Japanese inn, all services are butler-level, very, very good! Facilities: There is a separate private hot spring that can be booked at the front desk for 3,000 yen per time for 45 minutes, and up to 3 people can be together
Traditional Japanese-style rooms, Kyoto cuisine with dinner and a hearty breakfast. The service is in place. Absolutely awesome location and room
Made our trip to Kyoto even more magical. When booking, the pictures did not come close to expressing the beauty of the materials used and the design of the space. Felt like I was in a Wong Kar-Wai film at times. Incredible staff, walking distance from shops and Kyoto station. Highly recommended.
The excellent location, you had access to plenty of food options, quiet enough in front of the apartment, but within 15 metres buzzing with life. Great size for families with young children and the super service from staff who were friendly and accommodating to us. Highly recommended
A perfect reward room in the center of Kyoto. The special space that can only be found here was the beauty of forgetting time. After all, a bath and a bedrock bath. It is a very nice inn where you can spend your own time carefully. It was nice to go through one path, which made me feel like Kyoto.
