Kyoto, Nakagyo-ku Ichinofunairi-cho 537-4, rayon Nakagyo, 604-8558 Kioto, Prefektura Kioto, Yaponiya (2 km from centre) 🧭 Map
The location is convenient, and the hotel staff are warm and thoughtful. I really liked it and will definitely come again next time! (The previous review was already very detailed, so I'm just leaving a quick comment as I saw a pending review here. I'll definitely be back next time I visit Kyoto!)
Traveling to Kyoto with my family, choosing to stay here was definitely the right decision. The hotel offers a shuttle service to and from Kyoto Station, which is incredibly convenient. The buffet breakfast is on the 17th floor, offering lovely views of Higashiyama and the Kamo River. The breakfast spread is quite extensive and the quality is good.
Hotel Okura Kyoto was the most pleasant surprise of our entire trip. First off, you can walk directly into the hotel from the subway. After getting off the subway, you enter a shopping mall, and the walk from the mall to the hotel has a very upscale feel to it. The hotel staff were incredibly welcoming; we weren't sure how to get to the lobby for check-in from a shop in the mall, and a staff member...
We recommended this hotel to all kinds of travelers from nearby beautiful places and shopping areas spacious room, delicious meals and good services
Beautiful and very hospitality hotel
Top end hotel of all we tried while traveling around Japan. Large room, spacious bathroom, good quality beds and pillows. Convenient central Kyoto location, next to subway station and in close proximity to many local attractions. If you a keen runner, there is a beautiful run and walking route around the river and map is provided by hotel. Breakfast was reasonable prices with good verity of both...

The room facilities are relatively new. The hotel's 7th-floor courtyard is a nice place for a walk. Rooms facing inward overlook the courtyard, and with the window open, you can hear the sound of flowing water. The red leaves in autumn are absolutely beautiful.
The hotel has a pick-up point in Kyoto, and it's also a convenient 3-5 minute walk from Keage subway station, right next to Nanzen-ji Temple – a peaceful oasis amidst the bustle. The hotel facilities are excellent, and the rooms, renovated a few years ago, are well-maintained. Amenities are plentiful, with a thoughtful selection of various cups. You can access beautiful gardens directly from the hotel...
The hotel service was excellent, truly a luxury experience. It has a swimming pool, gym, and hot springs, all of which we thoroughly enjoyed during our two-day stay. A big plus is the free shuttle service to and from Kyoto Metro Station, which was incredibly convenient. The shuttle even makes free stops at attractions along the way, which was super handy. The hotel is also less than two kilometers...
The Junior Suite is great! The room is spacious with a fabulous countryside and temple view, the welcoming snacks and water are warm and sweet. Shuttle Bus service and Family Mart is convenient. Cake shop and Club Lounge offered wide variety of food and drinks. Overall it’s a pleasant stay, will definitely come back again. Hopefully can get a higher floor next time :) :) p.s As a shopaholic that...
queit location to enjoy the authenticity of kyoto. it has everything we need, a well equipped gym, good size indoor pool and a hotpring spa. breakfast is very good. we had a room with terrace overlooking the city. beautiful and elegant. will be back!
It’s definitely the most remarkable New Year’s Eve experience we ever had, from the city luggage service, shuttle bus to the trail within the hotel. Food wasn’t just good it’s great we will come back and stay longer next time !

Spacious room, good coffee and tea making facilities. Super handy location for main Kyoto train station.
Good location, can walk to Kyoto station 3 minutes, nice hotel , clean and cozy place. The hotel is expensive but does not include onsen services, have to pay extra.
this hotel provided us with a top quality service and the rooms are super huge. Gym has plenty of machines and weights. Breakfast was amazing as well. 1 minute away from Kyoto station to top it all off.
The hotel's location is fantastic! The design is also very modern and forward-thinking. The front desk and concierge staff were all incredibly enthusiastic and always attentive to whether we needed any assistance. It was a very satisfying stay. We stayed in Japan for 7 nights and switched between 3 hotels, and this was by far the most satisfying five-star hotel experience!
Hotel was very sophisticated and clean. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. We would definitely stay here again.

It was a great location and the staffs were wonderful and please do try the breakfast. The food quality was spectacular.
I stayed here 10 years ago. The hotel looked exactly the same. It is a little bit on the old school side, but everything is clean and impeccable. The first day I arrived I had a stomach issue and the hotel was really kind and helped send fresh ginger tea up to my room and requested. They went out out of their way to find me fresh ginger. The second day I strained my back from lifting heavy luggage...

Beautiful scenery, excellent location.
The hotel was pretty good overall. Its location is excellent, very close to Sanjusangendo Temple. The front desk staff, a lovely lady from China, was very thoughtful and helpful. The only minor drawback was that our room was quite a long walk from the elevator, which was a bit annoying.
This hotel is great in every season, except for the breakfast, which was a bit disappointing.
Facilities: Very good Cleanliness: Cleaned very well every day Ambience: Great location, I like the hotel design Service: Initially, the service was okay, but I felt a lack of responsibility. I forgot to pick up my child's allergy medicine when I left the hotel on Tuesday. They called and promised to ship it to Four Seasons Osaka the next day at the latest. They called on Thursday afternoon and were...
The environment is very good. Most of the service staff are Southeast Asians. Their service is not as meticulous as that of the Japanese, but it is also very good.
The hotel is nice. However, the weather was not so good. The hotel is not too far from Kyoto station but not close to any major attractions by walking. Terrence is comfortable with a nice view over the garden and Japanese not call amenities. Maiko performance are available on Tuesdays and Sundays. Food is good.

New hotel with very nice and new room.
The Duji restaurant is excellent!
The hotel's location is excellent, right across from Nijo Castle. The staff are quite friendly, but it feels like this might be Mitsui Fudosan's first foray into such a high-end luxury hotel, as the overall system operation seems a bit unrefined. In particular, one older gentleman at the Italian restaurant, who seemed to be from the head office, really dropped the ball on service. The hotel design...

Very good hotel. Room a bit small as per the standard here. I can rate room as 4+ to 5 stars level. However, location is a bit poor. Quote a walking distance to the main attentions.
Newly opened hotel, close to Dongshan. The environment is absolutely superb, especially the garden view from inside. The service attitude is excellent. Highly recommend staying here, it offers good value for money. The room's overall decor is simple yet elegant.
We had a very comfortable stay during a short holiday. The hotel has a calm and high-quality atmosphere, and everything was clean, modern, and well maintained. The front desk staff speaks fluent English, and there were quite a few Western guests during my stay. For the cherry blossom season, the value for money was pretty good. The decor is very stylish, but the bedding isn't great. The 'super king size bed' is actually two beds pushed together, and there's a big gap in the middle. We had to squeeze with our child on one side, which was really cramped. Plus, the bedding was too soft and offered no support, leaving me with a sore back for all three days of our stay.
Stayed here for 3 nights. The hotel was aesthetically pleasing with its decoration. The welcome drink was pleasantly served as well. The staff was friendly and helpful with our checking in process. They also provide luggage transfer services for you. The room was done up nicely and the metro was just one traffic light away. Overall, we had a awesome stay there. The hotel is a tranquil oasis amidst the hustle and bustle. The rooms are cozy, and the service is impeccable. There was a Chinese-speaking staff member who was incredibly nice and helped us with our check-in. All the hotel staff were warm and polite; everything was just perfect. There's a cemetery nearby. I wonder if it's the war criminal graveyard mentioned on Xiaohongshu. Just thinking about it gives me the creeps.

**Facilities:** The hotel is relatively new and well-equipped. The amenities provided are the standard Le Labo products, as is customary with Park Hyatt. **Ambiance:** The setting is quite tranquil, and with few guests, it offers excellent privacy. However, the lighting at night is a bit dim, which can feel a little eerie. **Service:** Service was decent.

My wife and I are seasoned travelers--for both business and pleasure--and both agree that the Hotel Seiryu is one of the most unique and beautiful hotels we've ever visited. We were blown away by our room (with a view of the Yasaka Pagoda), and the staff are charming and welcoming. My wife and I just returned from our honeymoon at The Hotel Seiryu Kyoto Kiyomizu, and we are still floating from the experience. Overall it’s a very nice hotel. Centralized location.
For nearly 8,000 CNY a night, my high expectations were thoroughly dashed. 1. There was a noticeable difference in how the front desk treated foreign guests versus locals; during check-in, foreigners received an almost 'kneeling' level of deference. Thoroughly enjoyed the serene escape. The hotel's facilities seamlessly blend with the natural environment, making for a truly relaxing stay. The staff lived up to Aman's standards – proactive, warm, and always remembered guests' names. Both the Japanese omakase and the Western dinner, as well as breakfast, were of high quality. The private onsen at the spa was a highlight, especially during sunrise
This hotel, a secluded gem, is a complete contrast to the Tokyo Aman. It's perfect for introverts, with very few rooms and not many guests, making it ideal for unwinding. The hotel offers plenty of activities, and the views are absolutely stunning. Highly recommended.
The hotel service was exceptionally good. I left something behind, and they delivered it to my new hotel first thing in the morning the next day.

The tea when we arrived, the hot bath, the traditional breakfast, the amazing gardens, what a great place! Tiger was an amazing host… we would highly recommend and will definitely stay there again if we come back to Kyoto.
The absolutely most amazing place I have ever spent the night in. The space itself has been renovated just enough to contemporize it to today's standards.
