This hotel was very spacious which is uncommon for Japan. It was also very affordable and the staff were friendly and helpful. The laundry facilities are really good and the bathroom is very nice as well. The location is convenient as it is close to convenience stores and the train station.

The lighting at the desk in my room was a bit dim (yellow light), making it difficult to work on my computer as shadows kept getting in the way. I called the front desk for help, and even though English communication was a bit tricky and we had to use some Japanese words, they were incredibly helpful and lent me a white light desk lamp. I really appreciate their assistance! I'd suggest the hotel consider adding or replacing the current desk lamps with brighter white light options.

The hotel's location is about a 7-8 minute walk from the station, and the area felt safe.

The room was spacious and clean and my husband seemed comfortable. I will definitely stay at the Lantern Hotel again whenever I come to Osaka.

It's easy to reach the hotel from Juso Station. However, getting to popular stations like Osaka-Umeda, Shin-Osaka, or Namba requires transferring between multiple trains.
The room is spacious and airy, and I especially liked the large bed bathroom. Towels and pillows were clean and odor-free
One downside was the bathroom ventilation fan—it made a loud noise and should probably be replaced.

Hotel Review: Serene Elegance Boutique Hotel

I recently stayed at Serene Elegance Boutique Hotel during my trip, and the experience exceeded my expectations.

Location:
The hotel enjoys a prime location in the city center—just a 5-minute walk from the subway station. It’s surrounded by local restaurants, convenience stores, and major attractions, making it incredibly convenient for both sightseeing and dining.

Check-in Experience:
The front desk staff were warm and welcoming. Check-in was smooth and efficient, and I was pleasantly surprised with a complimentary room upgrade. The lobby was clean, beautifully decorated, and subtly scented, creating a relaxing atmosphere upon arrival.

Room Comfort and Amenities:
I stayed in a Deluxe King Room, which was spacious, well-lit, and tastefully designed in a modern minimalist style. The bed was extremely comfortable with crisp, clean linens. The room included high-speed Wi-Fi, a smart TV, a mini fridge, and a kettle—everything I needed. The bathroom featured a separate shower area, strong water pressure, and high-quality toiletries.

Breakfast:
Breakfast was another highlight. The buffet offered a wide range of options, from Western-style dishes to traditional local fare. There were fresh fruits, hot porridge, eggs cooked to order, and baked goods. The dining area was elegant, and the staff were attentive, often checking in to offer coffee or tea refills.

Service:
The service throughout my stay was consistently excellent. Housekeeping was thorough, and any requests were responded to promptly. The staff were always friendly and professional, adding a personal touch to the stay.

Minor Downsides:
If I had to point out one small flaw, it would be the slightly thin walls—some hallway noise was audible in the evening. However, it didn’t significantly disrupt my sleep.

Overall:
This hotel offers fantastic value for money and is a great choice for both business and leisure travelers. I’ll definitely return on my next visit to the city.

The desk staff is very nice and will help you with questions/change. Is close to a metro stop other than that the location is awful it’s about 40 min to do or see anything in Osaka unless the little district nearby is enough entertainment for maybe an overnight stay. 50 min to get to Kyoto and the temples there. 1.5 hours to get to Nara. 1 hour to Kansai International Airport also. The staff is nice but there’s signs all over threatening you with charging you 3x for if a delivery driver delivers food to your room so just an awful vibe and not even the great trains on the Hankyu line can make up for it.

This hotel was excellent located in juso which is actually written like jewsan! The receptionist always says hello no matter what, even when you don't see them like a ninja. Great!
