The service was not completed 💕 I checked in late, so I'm really sorry I couldn't order drinks 😫 It was a very nice hotel with the top floor bathroom and the cleanliness of the rooms? Dormy Inn if you're staying in Osaka

Please note that the drink service has changed to a service only available on the hotel's own site as of September 1st. The large public bath is excellent. The sauna is closed from 1 AM to 5 AM. There are plenty of services available, including late-night ramen and ice cream.

I've stayed at Dormy Inn hotels near Mount Fuji before, and this time I tried their Tanimachi location. While getting to popular commercial areas requires a few transfers, the hotel itself is excellent and offers fantastic value for money.

The room was good. Although small, it was enough for a family of three. I booked a twin room, but it didn't have a bathtub. The hotel switched me to a room with a tub. The bed was smaller, but still comfortable enough to sleep in. After soaking in the hot spring every day, there were free ice cream sticks to enjoy to your heart's content, and Yakult in the morning. For this alone, it deserves a full 5 stars. The only downside was that the hotel had too many tour groups, all Koreans, and their etiquette was quite poor. In the hot spring area, I saw an elderly Korean woman scrubbing dirt off herself in the pool, and some people spitting... My goodness! 🤦‍♀️

Our stay at Dormy Inn Osaka Tanimachi with the kids was absolutely fantastic! The room was spacious enough for the children to move around comfortably, and the cleanliness was top-notch. The bedding felt incredibly soft. The hotel's natural hot spring was a huge hit – the kids loved it, and it was so relaxing for the adults too. The staff were super friendly and always ready to help with any questions, even proactively assisting with our luggage. This is definitely a perfect choice for families traveling with children, highly recommended!

The room was very comfortable, and the front desk staff was excellent; they even allowed us to check in early. You can opt to visit the hot springs in the afternoon when it's less crowded and peaceful. The cold drinks are from Hershey's, which is a nice touch. And you absolutely must try the ramen they offer in the evening – it's fantastic! Plus, there's an amazing tonkatsu restaurant nearby, about a 6-7 minute walk from the hotel. It's tiny, but the ingredients are top-notch and it's definitely worth a try.

The hotel isn't large, but it's well-designed. There's a hot spring upstairs which is very clean. It's about a 7-8 minute walk from the subway station, so it's easy to find. Plus, there are three supermarkets right outside, which is super convenient.

This Dormy Inn, located at a subway exit, unfortunately has no elevator, which makes transferring at Osaka Station quite a hassle when you're out exploring. This time, I also encountered a group tour, which made the overall experience less than ideal. I'll definitely have to reconsider staying at a Dormy Inn in the future; it's not as good as it used to be.
